so the new set piece creator has the guy taking the corner kick plus 11 more on the field.

a set piece design using 12 players.....makes no sense whatsoever.

No, you get to set up all 11 players for set-pieces. The corner taker isn't counted. Who you choose to be the corner taker, will leave his assigned duty and go take corners. Hope that makes sense.

It's the same as FM15 (and before). You have always had 11 players to set up without an option being taker.

Is it possible to edit you manager's look afdter starting a game?

If I was to manage Watford I'd create a manager with a yellow tie, so if for some reason I switch to Luton I don't really want to have their rival club tie on my manager.

It could also be a kind of roleplaying. Start off with a thin, fresh faced tracksuit wearing manager then age him during the game and end up a fat, balding old guy wearing a suit.

Question for Si games staff, cole, miles etc...

Current if i create a team for MLS and replace them for orlando ro NYCFC my team does not have my academy on the left panel like all of the other MLS teams, with the create a team option in FM16 will this fix the problem.

They're unlikely to answer that directly, but from experience of editing the MLS, it doesn't always work right, as a lot of it is hard-coded due to the various rules and regulations they have. I don't imagine that hard-coding will change, but I guess with the create a team there's a chance.

When do we get the download key for ‘An Alternative Reality: the Football Manager Documentary’ sent out?

should be automatically installed when you get the steam version (or was for me)

my favourite line is the 'I wasn't looking at pornography, I was looking for wingbacks'

maybe check under 'videos' in the library tab, rather than games/favourites

Got mine straight away through Steam too. Interesting video.

I guess this should go to wishlist thread but it would be nice to have some option when chating with players regarding their lack of minutes being justified by their poor physical condition or because he's being spared for important matches. I know there's an option to approach the player to give him a rest, but when players complain there is no option about this issue.

The question is, with the new club option can you create your own club and manage it yourself (and never get fired since you are both the owner and the manager)? Or it's just another option that doesn't let you own a club so imho pretty much useless since you can already add clubs with the editor?

It's the latter. But given that a lot of people seem to not want to get to grips with the editor - which is fair enough - it's a decent addition for them.

Well Create a Club is including in FM Touch, so people playing that version will be able to edit something. As FMC there is no editor at all.

It remians to be seen if you can just make minor changes to a club, like player attributes or stadium name/size rather then have to edit everything and can edit multiple clubs.

Not impressed. I didn't buy FM15 as I felt the 3D engine took a step backwards, and I most likely will not be buying FM16.

If you want the game to get better, vote with your wallets and don't buy the game.

For me it does and that is why i vote with my wallet and buy the game

Such a backwards idea :D

It might suit you as an individual but its akin to cutting your nose off to spite your face.

Less sales = Less money for SI = Less development. If you took it to the extreme No sales = No FM next year so instead of getting a better product you would get nothing at all.

Because it's not MOO he'll keep playing FM14.

And if you don't like FM16, but buy it: SI thinks "our strategy gives us more money lets keep it up". So you'll be paying for 15 years in hopes they will have more money to make something that it is not of their strategy.

So I'd suggest to take politics out. If you want FM16 - buy it. If you don't want FM16 - don't buy it. Opinions about SI in general or "want the game get better" should not play a role.

I havent read all of the posts above and i am sure i am not alone on this but for me this new game is a few steps backwards from the last ones.

We dont want create a team and fancy manager avatars what we , TRUE FM PLAYERS, want to see is improvements on ME and manager choices like stupid post match questions/answers, interval comments and interview questions/answers as all of us know have such a massive influence in the game itself.

To be honest i dont know if i will be buying the new game as most of the people i know are of the same oppinion and we are talking of people in their 30's/40's that have played every single game of the saga since the begining. we need t be sure that all the new intruductiions made every year are going to improve the reson why this game is played by milions of people and not create something that can be done by FIFA or PES if we wnat to create a team i am sure we would still be playing FIFA 91 or 94 and not FM2016

So I'm not a TRUE FM PLAYER because I'd quite like the ability to edit something on FMC/FMT and Create a Club lets us do that. There isn't and probably never will be a real pre-game editor for FMC/FMT but Create a Club will go a little way to letting us edit the database and might help bring back the enjoyment of the game for me.

first of all as i said i havent read the posts above but to be honest i was never in favour of FMC if you want to play the game play the game in full what is the fun in playing game after game only and have little or no influence in how the team is playing?

I want more options on players getting pissed off because you are trying to improve your youths and you have a strong enough team to pplay 11 on CL or league games and 11 on cup games and the players dont start asking for more playing time after 4 games etc thats what i meant for example.

i couldnt care less about a manager avatar for example what does that will bring to the game? NOTHING

and to be honest i am sure that you will be able to do the same in half the time on EDITOR that you will do IN game so just get to grips with editor...

There is no editor for the FMC/FMT version of the game, so how can I get to grip with something that doesn't exist?

Like I said, Create a Club will be the only wat to make edits to the FMC/FMT database unlike the full game.

Like a lot of people I don't have enough free time to spend playing FM, so if I play the full game I'd be lucky to complete a season in a month, with FMC its is a much faster game as all the fluff is removed.

BTW the match engine and tactics in FMT/FMC is the same as the full game, so I have as much influence on how my team plays as you do, possibly more as we don't have tactic familiarity so our players can play in our tactics without spending time learning them.

FMC gets a lot of negative comments on here anyway, seen many things like it's a dumb down version, and it's for casual players, Casual? I spend as much time playing FMC as I would do Full Fat if that was the only mode available, just with FMC I can actually get further.

The ability to Create-a-club really appeals to me as that is something I like to do, also a lot of people post comments as if they think SI neglect time on the ME to add some of these things.

If I had to play the full game then I would go back to an older version, wouldn't have bought FM15 and wouldn't even be thinking about buying FM16 anyway.

Have you even tried FMC? doubt it considering that post.

Well perhaps you should before assuming you speak for true FM players, as far as I'm concerned you represent a tiny minority.

Also as somebody else said it's patently obvious you haven't played FMC so you're hardly qualified to comment on it.

So you're saying the majority prefer FMC over the full game? I have no evidence whatsoever to back it up, but I really find that hard to believe.

Yes I did try it and stop playing after 30minutes because I hated it that much... As for talking without knowing what i am talking about I am not one to talk about things i dont know nothing about.

That is the thing about some people they rather play 100seasons that try and do something where they actually spend time looking for players instead of looking in forums for players and shortlist, create their own tactics and see if they will work with their team or not instead of getting a "machine" making it work even if they have the completely wrong kind of players for the way they want to play...

I dont need to do 100 seasons to be happy and got as much time as most 30/40 year olds with full time jobs, kids and a family but in my opion and soesnt matter how small or big it is , its MY OPINION, i prefer 100x the "full fat" version.

I didnt started an argument with no one i just expressed my opinio i think thats what you do in FORUMS.

You played for 30 minutes only and got basic facts about it wrong. With all due respect your opinion about FMC and who it caters for outside of whether you like it or not carries absolutely no weight. You are in no position to define who "TRUE PLAYERS" of FM are, so keep that kind of thing to yourself.

"TRUE FM PLAYERS" :D

I've played FMC exclusively since it came out, and the "machine" definitely isn't making things work for me. I still spend time looking for players. I still create my own tactics. I still usually fail big time, but at least I enjoy playing anyway. I have played the series since the first Championship Manager, and like a few others I feel that in the past few years the full version has become too bloated and time consuming for me. FMC solves that perfectly.

I am a 100% full fat player, I even play all the matches on 90 minutes.

I get through about 5 seasons with 1 team on each version of the game.

Why anyone wants to judge anyones playing style is beyond me.

options are nice to have.

FMC has such a horrid reputation, it needs better marketing. Right now a lot of people consider it to be almost like a Farmville Facebook clicker compared to full FM, which is wrong on so many levels.

I have about 2000 hours clocked in on FMC 15 and the main differences are that morale doesn't seem to be as important, you rarely get press inquires and player complaints. Apart from that, processing is much faster, even when many leagues are loaded.

Everything else that really matters is exactly the same like in full fat.

Indeed, I believe SI are missing a massively important marketing opportunity by not promoting the realities of FMC nearly enough.

On it's own as a game it should be a huge seller.
