Mennox Posted October 14, 2015 Share Posted October 14, 2015 I must say I am somewhat disappointed that the beta is only available with 'digital' copies only, whereas over the 2 couple of years, they were also available with the boxed version (Amazon). I feel this is more of a way to prevent people from cancelling their boxed pre-orders once they have received the beta key as they can only get it via digital - this is a shame as I like to own the boxed version of the game as part of my collection and also for the fact that I would not get charged until it is dispatched! Can you confirm if they are, or are not, able to sell FM16 with the beta as I have ordered from there, and have done so for many years. I contacted GMG support about this and they replied with this. Now I'm not sure if they have the beta, I know they said they do but who knows. I will just be pretty upset if the game is activated and will not be able to play the beta when they said I will be, but I have a good feeling about this since the beta and FM Documentary were a package deal. If you read your order confirmation you should find the key is contained within that email. I just inquired because someone official (can't remember who it was) just posted the list of the official websites that had the beta keys instead of clearing up the GMG issue a few of us seem to have. This may be true but I prefer steam and takeaway all the hassle of making sure you have a product key to make the game work, I saved £5, so I'm happy with that. They usually send the key code out the day of, or maybe a day before, the beta is released. Also when you log into GMG, click on the arrow next to your username, click games, expand Steam Games, and your key/code will also show there - when your key for FM16 Beta is available. Now, obvs my Fiancé believes I shouldn't be wasting my time playing FM on my travels but I want to. What's the deal with region locking?
