Agentina Vs Iceland. 1400BST ITV

It's a slight toe-on-toe challenge at high speed - the attacker goes down like he's had his leg swept from under him.

It looks like a dive and from where the referee is, it's not an obvious error to miss that contact anyway.

If the referee sees the contact then he gives a penalty. But it wasn't easy to see and the exaggerated fall doesn't help.

Ronaldo's penalty was a lot more obvious though. And the referee was in the perfect position for that one.

Not just saying this to try to be funny given the bizarre, imho, Ronaldo criticisms last night but Messi's movement has been really poor in this game. Just wandering about as though he doesn't give a **** when he hasn't got the ball.

Iceland are heroes for playing terrific defense. Imagine that being said about Argentina.

Iceland are a country of about a million people, who are up against superstars such as Messi and Aguero. It might not be great to watch but they look as if they are going to earn their point.

337,000 inhabitants actually. Insanely small compared to how good they are.

350,000 actually, 10% of which are in Russia for the tournament :D

great stuff from Iceland, Argentina have to learn to not play everything through Messi

As anyone who's watched Argentina could've predicted.

Terrible lineup, clueless coach, pass the ball to Messi and hope for the best.

Why would you need Biglia-Masch against a team that will obviously defend for 90 minutes?
Fielding Caballero and Rojo that barely played whole season long, not giving Higuain more minutes even though it was obvious they need a no9 in the box.

Messi playing awfully and bottling the penalty, can't expect much more.
