Really not looking forward to watching us chase German tiki taka for 45 minutes in the second half.

Portugal should do like Tigre in the 2012 Copa Sudamericana final vs São Paulo and not even return for the second half. :D

Frankly I thought the head touch was mostly incidental, with Pepe mainly just wanting to rant right in Muller's ear for his disgraceful overacting.

To be fair, a hand (fingers) in the face can be initially quite painful. Especially around the eyes.

Still, it doesn't affect your legs though!

Cristiano Ronaldo is finished, lost his pace, not the player he used to be etc etc.

Fitness aside, it's unfair how people expect him to do as well for Portugal as other stars do for their teams when Cristiano Ronaldo has so average teammates.

That was just plain stupid by Pepe. He knew he was off so he should have dropped another headbutt on Muller when he got up.

Can see this being about 6-0. One of Ghana and USA will go through aswell, Portugal have been atrocious here.

Almeida did not look like a world cup player at all, good thing he got injured. Never heard of Eder before but he looks like a decent target man. Not sure though. Nani is soo bad, hes not even good enough for a team that finished 8th in the league.

Agreed, but at the same time you can't do what some do and say every single Portugal win is because of Cristiano Ronaldo yet none of their defeats have anything to do with him.

That's a standard Cristiano half anyway, just without the goal.

Yep, it's unfortunate he doesn't have a proper team around him so we could see the best of both him. On the other hand, it gives him a chance to show how utterly great he is if he can somehow make this Portugal team go far. Looks rather unlikely now though!

His best chance to win something with Portugal was the Euros in 2004 or whenever it was. Since then Portugal have become worse and worse really.

Ridiculous halftime discussion about cheating, massive can of worms. By the theory that's being put forward almost every foul in history is cheating because the offended always makes more of it than he should. Muller is a big pansy though!

My God Nani is bad

I think he's done generally fine? It's the defence and midfield that's been disappointing. Conceding lots of space, comitting fouls, bad marking in set pieces, not good enough cover to the back 4, not quick enough getting ball out of defence into attack. None of that has been the attack's fault particularly Nani.

Ronaldo been hiding a bit but the ball ain't reaching him so what can he do? Other than dropping back 20 yards to where he's not supposed to be.

Éder is class at linking up play and a big physical guy, but he does have one big flaw which is he can't finish well at all.
