Agreed, but at the same time you can't do what some do and say every single Portugal win is because of Cristiano Ronaldo yet none of their defeats have anything to do with him. Yep, it's unfortunate he doesn't have a proper team around him so we could see the best of both him. On the other hand, it gives him a chance to show how utterly great he is if he can somehow make this Portugal team go far. Looks rather unlikely now though! His best chance to win something with Portugal was the Euros in 2004 or whenever it was. Since then Portugal have become worse and worse really. Conceding lots of space, comitting fouls, bad marking in set pieces, not good enough cover to the back 4, not quick enough getting ball out of defence into attack. None of that has been the attack's fault particularly Nani. Ronaldo been hiding a bit but the ball ain't reaching him so what can he do?
