Thengil
Christian Wilhelmsson came on at halftime and has been better than ever in the national team. A bit late in his career I must say... Great assist that led to the goal.

ddidiodion
Carroll has been great since coming on for me done more than wellbeck did all game. You mean got a few knock ons to nobody and created nothing? He's been brought on to hold up the ball and not done it, seems a bit odd to say he's done more when neither did anything. Marc Albrighton
You mean got a few knock ons to nobody and created nothing? He's been brought on to hold up the ball and not done it, seems a bit odd to say he's done more when neither did anything. Hardly his fault everyone was back defending is it, he gets the knock on almost everytime and had we had runners it may have been a different story im not saying he a massive amount im saying he did more than wellbeck for me and offers something completely different. SeanNUFC
We actually reached our target for once. Unlike last two tournaments. And have a chance of reaching the semi's.
Wakers
We were a bit lucky there. Still, I think what we learnt from that is that Hodgeson can give a heck of a team talk - and that the average memory of an England international is 15 minutes. Big Geordie
Will take the win and playing the Italians on Sunday. However, more than a slice of fortune went our way and whilst we look organized and hard to beat - we are still a poor side. Will need to up it big style on Sunday to get a result. aggressive minor
Credit due to Woy and England. Very rusty Rooney, but more flow with him in the team.
foolsgold
Got to admit, Gerrard and Parker have been immense for us. If the wingers had performed to a similar standard and kept the ball better with the full backs we would have looked so much better though.
ddidiodion
Rooney was getting into goal scoring positions, thats the main thing.

Bababui
Someone the other day mentioned about the teams with the fewest amount of possession likely being England and Ireland, tonight England were out-possessed 42-58%.
