As much of the data is subjective we’d ask that you respect everyone’s opinion and accept that the final decision is that of our club researchers and our heads of research.

One for the Burnley researcher- 

Calen Gallagher-Allison and Owen Dodgson are missing a history entry for this season for Man Utd. Dodgson is also missing the £0 transfer fee. Their leaving dates in the non-player history have been set to 30/6/2020 but this is incorrect. They were registered with the club this season (Dodgson made 1 U18 appearance) despite being out on trial. They didn't officially leave until the 19/11 when the deal was announced.

On the beta thread I gave updates on some of the sponsorship and financial things that were incorrect at Arsenal. Sadly they've not made it into the full edition. The changes needed were:

• Chips Keswick has now retired, we don't have a chairman anymore
• Emirates Stadium capacity is 60,704 (Premier League handbook - Arsenal pages 3-4)
• The sponsorship page lists our sponsorship as £40 main kit and £60m away kit - our sponsorship should look like:
  • Main Kit (Adidas) £60m a year for 5 years (2019-2024)
  • Other Kit (visit Rwanda) £10m a year for 3 years (2018-2021)
  • Stadium (Emirates) £2.8m a year from 2006-2021 then it becomes £4m a year from 2021 to 2028
  • General (Emirates) £40m a year for 6 years (2018-2024)
• Contracts, according to Transfermarkt:
  • Chambers expiry date at 2022
  • Sokratis expires in 2021
  • Maitland-Niles, Smith Rowe & Nelson all expire in 2023

The Tottenham experience is broken because the board expect you to buy English players. We havnt had this policy for a decade. SI has effectively made the game as difficult as an Athletic Bilbao save for Spurs fans. 

Our best matchday squad has 3 English players out of 18. And one is a sub GK to keep the numbers of home grown up.

thanks @mhaffy - that is odd, as it is set correctly in the database.  I have tried starting a game as Chelsea and in that welcome message the last season position is detailed as 4th.  I'll look into it further.

I recall Philip Rolfe stating that Mason Mount's height and weight had been fixed for full release - I see his height has been fixed but his weight is still 57kg when it should be 70kg according to the chelsea website

Thanks @bananahk - you are right; Otamendi does not appear in the list of transfers "out" in the Man City club profile in-game.  As you can see by visiting Otamendi's player at SLB, in-game, his player history looks to have been correctly set.  I will investigate.

If you wish this to be changed, I would recommend that you use the in-game editor yourself.  Thanks again!

Are you able to please send a screenshot? This is him in my save - IIRC his stats appear identical to the beta, and seem to be thoroughly harsh on his ability as a player. Thanks

Thanks @Mcfc1894 - that is a very strange occurence; Robertson is rated among the top 4 DL/WBL in the world (unsurprisingly the others being at Barcelona, Juventus and Bayern).  I would be interested to know who they got in to replace Robertson, please.  We don't set the squad status in the database, but the squad will inevitably have its fair share of indispensable, important, regular starters, squad and fringe players.

I don't have a screenshot but can confirm 100% that the profile you've copied is upgraded from the beta version. Teamwork has been boosted by 4 and it looks like crossing, passing, vision and some others attributes have been tweaked as well. His attributes along with his acceleration and pace put him up there with the best right backs in the game for his age, something we were advised by the Brighton researcher in the beta database and research thread.

Salah:

I can seldom see Salah freekick hit the target. 

after search in internet, I find this:

I do think salah freekick should be downgrade to 11, with VVD (at lease VVD don't walk in to take direct freekick. I know on early year VVD have that skill but I do think seldom train will make him forgot how to do it, at lease we dont see him in liverpool take direct freekick) 

Milner:

he already not used to be Left or Right MF, but he would sometime deploy on Both Leftback and Right back. For me I would lower L/R MF rating at lease, and try to upper his leftback/right back. (to just compare, we see Milner on duty Leftback/Rightback than Lallana on DMF)

to compensate for the CA, I would lower his Acc/Pace by 1 point and L/R MF rating.

Henderson:

I do think his work rate should be further upper as he was nonstop to run and press and also cover defend position.

Also, his home reputation is far more than we think. His reputation also makes him the no. 1 player on England and Liverpool team sheet.

But I would also recommend lower his jumping ability as he seldom fight win for header (I know he is 182cm and cannot rate too low, but he really bad on jump off the ground)

 

Gomes:

I do not think he is good at jumping.

Like above, I know he is 188cm so you would not give a bad rating but we can see him easy lose header without VVD, Matip present.

I will only give him 13 for jumping and 13 for heading.

on some report before that he is the quickest player on the field. I understand Salah and Mane may have a better acclaration, but i would give gomez a 18 in pace also.

For whole team:

I don't know why, after a champions cup winner and EPL winner, no player have any is rating over 18. (except new comer Tiago which is rate by other)

I have a feeling, that to make sure the rating not go over 18, need to upper other rating to make up the current ability...(its just feel, sorry if I say sth wrong or too offensive, O...finally I see henderson leadership...)

It looks like all the nicknames for teams have been removed from the database! I checked my Beta save and they are there, so it looks like the data has been lost/removed between the beta database and the fulle release database. Unless there has been some new legal issues around nicknames? Posting this on the prem thread but this looks like its an issue across many nations.

I know it is in Dutch but it still shows the nickname for Arsenal here

The nicknames all appear to be working for us here.
The 6 letter name of Arsenal in your screenshot is also something we've never set in data.

Do you have any Editor files added or loaded?

Nope! Nothing at all. Ill try doing a fresh install of the game/db editor.

I did try creating a fresh save and still had the issue

They changed Robertson back to a Regular Starter now just before the season started . I didn't see any interest in Robertson Liverpool wanted Ben Mendy pretty much when I first loaded the game up which was rejected by City so they went for Bertrand

One last thing...

The tottenham accounts for last year have been released.

Commercial revenue (sponsorship) is 146m, and shirt sales are 20m.

I think in the game commercial revenue is quite low like 96m.

We will be turning over close to 500m in real life when fans are back.

For what it's worth, Pete, Liverpool bought Bertrand on my holiday save as well. It seems Robertson have asked to leave due to wanting a new contract (as far as I can tell, I'm not the manager).

Might be random, but it's strange that Liverpool bought in him in two different saves.

Bit of an odd one, screenshot of the sponsors in-game...

Now the editor (straight load, no changes):

Most of that actually looks correct. It's missing stadium sponsorship. In-game it's listing main and away kit, although the values and durations match up well with the "kit sponsor" and "kit sponsor secondary" entries in editor. Club membership is the same too, although it's missing the general sponsor already in the editor too, which might be because the expiry date is after the season starts (should be changed to 2021) - equally it should be labelled "shirt sleeve" which is an option itself. 

So, decided to experiment, by removing the total commercial income entry, correcting the end date and labelling for the sleeve sponsorship, updating the stadium sponsorship, plus most crucially, I re-labelled the income type for the Emirates and Adidas deals - it looks like having "kit sponsor" plus "kit sponsor secondary" automatically changes it to "main kit" and "away kit" in-game. I referred to Adidas as kit sponsor and Emirates as general sponsor. In-game it now looks like this:

I  think it would be a useful change in-game to have the label "kit supplier" or "kit manufacturer" to go with "kit sponsor" - i.e. differentiating Adidas from Emirates in this case.

This then got me looking at our debts/loans - these were re-structured by Kroenke in July, to significantly reduce the annual burden on the club. So according to pieces by the Arsenal Supporters Trust & Swiss Ramble (both excellent sources):

• There is an existing £15m debt for debentures and £24m for derivatives (which we have reflected in-game)
• The rest of our debt has been re-financed, so the £112m & £48m (worth £160m) should be removed, replaced by a loan of larger value, but costing a much smaller rate of interest
• AST estimates this to be £184m owed to the ownership, estimated that we'll be reducing debt servicing & interest costs from £20m a year to £5-10m a year on highly favourable interest terms. Most likely on extended terms.
• This is something that you'll need to judge yourself, but I'd estimate that it should be a £184m loan, with no or negligible interest (as the penalty payments to take this loan are included in it's value), extending it's date of completion in order to reduce the annual cost. So, probably 20 years from now looks in the right ball-park.

So, in my view, it should look much more like this:

Contract expiry and Chips Keswick bits still need adjusting, but the finances bit needs some work.

Not sure if im posting in the right place, however in my Liverpool save I appear to have two Peter Krawietz's working for me. 

Anyone else got this issue? Not sure if this is just a bug on this particular screen?

Sorry if this has already been brought up but I am just curious as to why the injuries in the Liverpool squad arent up to date ? VVD atleast because he has been out for weeks now, but Gomez aswell ?

Injuries are only included if the player was injured at the start of the season - VVD & Gomez were fit at the start of the season.

Not that this is a big deal but Charlie Cresswell from Leeds, his birthday is on 18th of October in the game but in reality it is on 17th of August.

I've tweaked a few things to make the AI Manager(Moyes) select Rice with Soucek and Not overlook Masuaku for the Wing back position

I didn't edit any ability stats just positional stats

For Rice I made him competent for the CB position and he is now selected by the AI Manager to partner Soucek in midfield like in real life instead of

Noble always partnering Soucek EVERY game. Rice has said himself he see's himself as a midfielder now and he's never really looked that comfortable as a CB from all the games i've seen anyway and I watch every West Ham game. Vs Everton away in the Cup he was still making mistakes as a CB.

I also edited Cresswell to make him competent at LWB and he now plays within the back 3 on the left just like IRL.

Masuaku then plays as wing back.

These are great changes to replicate West ham's real line up irl and also with Cresswell playing the set pieces are more effective because he has the highest corner attribute.

I believe this should be made as a default on the next database update and this really does improve the realism for West Ham on FM.

Noble can't get into the team because of how much better Soucek and Rice have improved us and Cresswell would never play Wing back in front of Masuaku because he was struggling enough as a LB in a back 4. The wing back role would be even more demanding  and Moyes won't do that imho.

ON FM simulated seasons i've tested...West Ham actually have struggled far more than they should of done because of Rice not being in midfield with Soucek and Cresswell not being part of the back 3. Moyes gets sacked by January every time.

Cresswell gives the back line some more pace and better mental stats just like irl , adds to set plays so seems a perfect change overall what i've implemented

I've simulated almost half a season with the above changes and they are comfortable mid table which replicates them irl now

He doesn't have a DOB set in the database, just a birth year, so the game comes up with one at random.
