From their FAQ: STEAM is Valves client, you can activate Steam keys purchased on Green Man Gaming within the Steam client. http://store.steampowered.com. 3. Run the Steam client software and log in with your Steam account details. 4. In the bottom left hand corner of the client is a "+ Add a game..." button. Click it. 5. Select "Activate a product on Steam". 6. Paste in the product activation key. 7. After a couple of minutes Steam will authenticate the code. 8. Click on "Library". With Steam locking the game until release date, there isn't a real difference in when you get to start playing between a boxed copy and a digital copy. I don't know if they will do it with FM13 but with some big game releases Steam allows a pre-download so your game is ready to play the minute it releases. In these cases people are actually quicker using the download as you are playing straight at the release rather than having to wait for the disk and then install the game. Of course this is pretty petty and does not exactly save you days and days,although it is nice to have the game already downloaded and ready to go around a week before release so hopefully they may allow this and companies like GmG release the codes quicker,doubtful though. Nah the code is still active, it's most likely a problem with some of your details. If you raise a support ticket they'll look into it for you.
