morology
That was great commentary: "oh it's six," in an unsurprised tone of voice.
martplfc1
****ing hell, could be 8 or 9 this! Indeed Bell, luis who?
bell
It's cause we havent got a striker giving the ball back all day, then popping up to save us (after chomping down on the opposition)
stevie_G_32201
Superb performance overall, shame coutinho's shot never found the net. he would of deserved that.
foofighter23
pretty great from everyone today. didnt realise they were so bad though, some of that defending makes some of our defensive performances look world class
CaptainPlanet
Don't think we can read too much in to Suarez not being around for that game. Newcastle just didn't turn up at all. Made up for Borini though.
stevie_G_32201
Borini's finish was fairly good, would of liked either henderson or sturridge to get a hat-trick though.
jep
Best performance of the season by far - we absolutely dismantled them. Without Suarez it was good to see the likes of Sturridge, Coutinho and Henderson step up and flourish. Bit surprised but absolutely delighted with that performance. pearcey_90
Top win for you lot, even though we were poor you lot exploited that and took your chances. Clinical attacking football at it's best.
tomtuck01
Don't think we can read too much in to Suarez not being around for that game. I would. You played around them rather than just looking for your focal point.
kingcav
what formation did you guys line up with today?
CaptainPlanet
I would. You played around them rather than just looking for your focal point. Yeah, and that worked because they were ****.
jep
what formation did you guys line up with today? Reina Carra Agger Johnson Enrique Lucas Gerrard Henderson Downing Coutinho Sturridge Something like that - a 4-2-3-1 with Henderson tucked in left and Coutinho floating behind the striker.
themadsheep2001
Yeah, and that worked because they were ****. They were ****, but your angles of attack were so much better, other players willing to step up. Too early to say, but its a very encouraging start. SeanNUFC
I honestly would not read much into playing well against us right now. We'e like a league two team in the prem.
tomtuck01
Yeah, and that worked because they were ****. But you still have to exploit it. If Suarez was playing you wanted have been ceating the same angles and space that you did today as you'd be looking to play it to him too early. themadsheep2001
I honestly would not read much into playing well against us right now. We'e like a league two team in the prem. Should have been double figures. It was abject from Newcastle.

CaptainPlanet
Reminded me of the first few games Arsenal played without Henry after they sold him. Was a lot of praise about how well they spread the ball about and other players stepped up. And times in the past when Gerrard has been out and we've looked "better" for it as not everything went through him.
jep
Got to say, the one thing that frustrated me about tonight was Glen Johnson. I have always been a fan but the last few weeks he has gone right off the boil and lost a lot of form. Today he was making some really bad errors in passing, positioning and clearing the ball, and i wonder if its time to give him a rest and play Wisdom for the end of the season. Rhino
That was quite good. Missed the game as I was at Firhill watching Partick Tistle lift the trophy, but it sounded great on the radio coming home. Looking forward to MotD.

stevie_G_32201
No doubt last on Motd. Win like that deserves to be first, but chances of that happening are about the same as signing messi on a free.

Kain
Of course you'll be first, MOTD doesn't have an anti-Liverpool agenda when it comes to the running order! They will probably spend more time talking about Suarez as the team that just annihilated Newcastle though.

Emersonlfc
Henderson was brilliant today from what I seen. His day summed up nicely when he ran back, made a great tackle which got Gerrard the ball and he in return turned and busted a gut to get in behind and laid it off for a tap in for DS. Razzler
Sturridge's dance is so bad I noticed that. Was like 'oh no .. what's he doing' and no one else joined either out of shame
Tony7
I honestly would not read much into playing well against us right now. We'e like a league two team in the prem. Your defence wasn't even that good anyway we normally struggle against lower league sides. Northampton and Oldham for example Coutinho was brilliant with his passing ability although he did have lots of time and space. I know Henderson gets some stick but he is the only central midfielder we have that runs box to box and runs into space from deep. I never expected us to be in top 4 but looking at the table I am a bit disappointed and thinking what might have been if we had not dropped silly points at home to Villa, WBA, West Ham and away to Reading. PFA awards decided tonight.
VamPook
I thought I saw a clip of a Newcastle player stamping onto Sturridge's leg... anything in that?
Divinity
Tiote - yea was pretty horrific. As per the FA's usual consistency I expect them to do absolutely nothing about it. Even Debuchy's second yellow was pretty bad.
jep
woohoo Out now for 2 weeks with a bite wound to his hand
cyclonus1010
Even Debuchy's second yellow was pretty bad. I thought that at the time, arguments can be made that was a straight red, meaning a 3 game ban , not the one he will get now.
Rafalution
not posted or even read in here since the Suarez bite attack, but holy **** was that a lovely performance yesterday. Already in love with Coutinho as I'm sure everyone else is. Also Henderson's improvement over this season just immense. Was out of favour behind Shelvey and Allen at the beginning of the season and I was talking about him moving on, not due to lack of talent but because BR didn't seem to have much time for him and seemed to treat the other two as his love children, so great to see he's been proving himself recently. Him and Coutinho were fantastic yesterday together, Hendo constantly dropping central and Cout (have we got a nickname for him yet?) going out wide, hopefully we'll see a lot of that over the next 9 league games. Also since, was it mid-Dec when BR had a go at Downing in the press? Well that obviously worked and would like Downing to stay another season now, one of the few older players we've got so now he seems to have his head right think it'd be good to keep him a year more at least. On a related note Sterling and Assaidi seem to be out of the picture atm, hopefully some sub time for at least one of them in the last couple of games. Oh and Carra's face after Perch missed was priceless.
dudester
Sterling is out injured won't feature again this season.
bell
At least we get to see a little of Suso again with Sterling out the picture. A front 3 of Suso, Coutinho and Sturridge could be devastating in a few years, especially if the 1st 2 keep improving.
