Southgate got the England job not because of what he achieved at club manager level but because he is English and people didn't want a non English manager A decent manager would have won last year's euros and maybe the world cup. England's problem is get rid of Southgate who do you get in and England are not blessed with great managers at the moment. Howe won't leave Newcastle at the moment so can't think of anyone else and certainly not with European experience. I'm not sure lampard has done any worse than Southgate at club level. I can recall Southgate reaching Europa league final I think but other than that he doesn't have much experience other than working in the background with England set up England fans want exciting football and win every game. It's rare a team plays exciting football and wins tournaments especially international level

Gets me down sometimes. I sometimes feel low but would no way confined in him. My brother is different to me and annoys me at times. I got no problem people having different views it just annoys me how he lives in a different world mps claim thousands he has no problem with that but if someone claims £20 for food during school holidays he has a problem with that. I know lol. Her son bought a suit, girlfriend booked train which is non refundable and booked a day off as its meant to be on Monday but now it's been cancelled and rescheduled for January but she's still going to see him Sunday as wants to see where he is living etc

Was more policing needed than normal?

Just curious how is it being disrespectful to play football this weekend while observing 2 minutes silence or applause while players wear black arm band and clubs flags are half mast?

Guys regarding the football being cancelled this is just my theory not seen others mention it Do you think it's out of respect or do you think there will be a minutes silence some will observe it some won't which could cause crowd unrest and trouble? If want show respect can observe minute or two minute silence can't think of any other reason why should cancel football

I didn't think I be upset about the Queen but when she passes away I think of my mum as she's 89 and I'm sure many others think of their families when hear news like this I think yes she had money etc but life isn't all about money. She travelled the world didn't see grandchildren and other family members deliver their children or spend much time with them and travelled alone with Prince Philip. It is sad but come on we are here for you but every other day when so many die from suicide, cost of living crises etc just put radio on life goes on we will cheer you up with some happy tunes. Queen dies we will put most saddest songs on radio and make it depressing for next 10 days I rather hear nice stories like what she did for charities, the sorry about an American not knowing who she was etc that make me smile

I’m guessing until two days after the funeral. Surprised sky sports not looking to put the funeral on ppv with Martin Tyler saying and it’s live it’s nice seeing old pics of the queen growing up and her life story etc but by the time hey finish talking about the queen we will know her better than some of our own family as I said I don’t mind the queen or princess Diana but not keen on the rest of them but don’t wish any harm to people just because I’m not keen on them

I was an hour into my journey that day which was a Sunday and heard on radio game had been called off so had to turn back round and head home. No mobile phones like today where could get info instant like today was going to the game myself.
