a.hugh1
Even though it is possible to switch to the 2D engine this 3D thing is so basic that I have completely lost my appetite for the game. I am interested in getting an idea of the proportion of people who actually use the 3D engine. I think the game should have come with an option to not install the 3D engine as I am assuming this is a major reason the game is slower than previous versions. taylorsmen
I like the 3D tbh,it's only in it's first year so im sure it will improve in the future, but overall i always play my games in 3D.

Ron_Susie
Always. Some of the goals you can watch are great.
m_fenton
Most of the time 3D, but sometimes its just easier to use 2D preseason etc tweaking tactics.
Stevicus
Never had the pleasure/dissapointment. I only even use 2D for cup finals, Commentary only is what I have used since CM4.
hamilton162
3D constantly, much better than 2D and still in it's first year. Things can only get better
earmack
3d looks like that of a bad Playstation (not 2) game, doesn't really do it for me.

dafuge
I love the 3D view and use it for every match. I'm not sure I'd like it as much if it had complex graphics, the simplicity appeals to me in the same way the old 2D view did.

I'm not sure I'd like it as much if it had complex graphics, the simplicity appeals to me in the same way the old 2D view did. You don't think it would be great to have FIFA/PES level of graphics in FM? I like the 2d dots O.K as I'm used ot them, but smooth 3d would be amazing to watch. Is the limitation on graphics because as the graphics get better more cpu/ram is needed for the match engine?
DougyMarshall
I use 3d only. I find it more intuitive than the 2d. You just need to be able to ignore the silly moments every now and again, something the 2d's lack of detail often kept hidden from you.
Innawerkz
3D for me. I only started playing this title with FM 08 and was strongly in favour of upping the match graphics. This is better than I expected. Still more room for improvement (as you say, the 'slow down' seems worse this version than 08. Still didn't stop me from jumping from my seat and pumping my fist when that little red & white circle with #9 on it would race past the defenders and lob the white pixel over the other multi coloured circle! (Omar Bravo wore #9 for the Chivas)
Yonezzz
I was quite happy using 3D now I'm on 9.3 (there were a few things about 9.1's match engine that made for some frustrating viewing, but not so much now), but for some reason I've it's suddenly become jerky, so I've had to switch back to 2D. peter-evo
I kind of switch between 2D and 3D. I like 2D now I have made it bigger (removing time-bar) but 3D is always nice. To be honest, it depends on how ugly the 3D pitch looks in the game.
CaptainPlanet
You don't think it would be great to have FIFA/PES level of graphics in FM? Dear god no. Just plain no. Just no.
x42bn6
Dear god no.Just plain no. Just no. It wouldn't be a bad idea - although it shouldn't be the top priority. All games will reach photo-realistic levels of graphical detail eventually anyway.
Suzie MUFC
I tried 3D again a couple of weeks ago, but I just couldn't stick with it. The ball has too much of a floaty feel compared to 2D Classic, plus I get terrible stutters during replays. 2D Classic all the way for me.
heathxxx
I love the 3d view, even though I didn't think I would. Still, makes me think of Lowry paintings, minus the flat-caps and chimneys of course
RFC_1972
I don't use 2d or 3d. I like my games to go fast, and just listen to my assistant manager.
Suge
The 3D really isn't bad for a rushed implementation. When they have had a little more time to work on it it will be really good. I'm thinking a free cam.

fdawsoniv
I like the 3D just fine. Gives me a better sense of what's going on. I'm curious what camera angles people use. I've only been able to use elevated. The others swivel around to much and don't give as good a view of the action for me.

|mmo
3d is WAY better than 2D. It is a great step in the right direction. Also the potential is HUGE for making something that could be extremely cool. Right now the players move a bit jerky and don't have many animations. If the play could be made fluent and a LOT more animations (100s) could be added, it would be unreal.

SnakeXe
I use 3D all the time. I really like the TV View matchday thing, as you can see a lot of things at once with a decent sized screen, much less flicking around than with the old system.

Damian227
Always use 3D, although the game engine reflects realism quite badly at times ie.. strange dwellin of the ball etc. It's just because the 3D engine is new and the oddness isn't visable on the 2D mode. Once more detail is put into the 3D engine it'll be a clear choice winner for anybody with a decent pc. Still can't beat watching fouled players hit the floor face first like they've been shot in the back though

robin_trott_hoof
Never use 3D - not only does it have less character, but it also seems far harder to get a good angle to judge each team's tactics from.
swisso
2D since i purchased FM09 on the first day. I'll have a look at 3D in a couple of years when it's developed properly.
