I wonder if Ronaldo will retire straight after this game

unless there is anything in the development, he probably should

only one who looks half decent is Carvalho who is still quite young

Not possibly, they definitely are. USA probably been the best. So good.

What?

Honestly thought Ghana looked the better side when they played the USA even if they lost and obviously Germany are pretty damn good.

Definitely, Ghana were way better

Now, if the US can beat Germany and Ghana Portugal, I will laugh all the way to the bank

Germany looked awful against Ghana. Ghana looked so wasteful against the US.

USA have defended well and attacked just as good as they've defended. Been superb.

Ghana will need to score many though. In any case, I can't see this happening at all. Germany are too good. Damn shame to see Ghana go out though, they deserved to beat Germany I think, really had them on the ropes at times.

So Ghana were wasteful but the USA defended well? Surely it was one or the other :D

US also were pretty terrible going forward in the Ghana match after Altidore went off.

Talk about knee jerk reaction.

Not really. Been far better than Portugal tonight and deserved their victory over Ghana after R1.

Germany were great v Portugal but it was a 10 man Portugal and an injured Ronaldo. They were poor against Ghana.

USA forced Ghana into taking long shots. They were wasteful because of the US defence. Doesn't have to be one or the other. One was an effect of the other. Causation is the term iirc.

e: IIRC - Ghana had something like 18 shots and only 4 on target v USA...

Stats:

Ghana - Shooting Accuracy v USA - 38% (8 on target from 21 shots)

USA - Shooting Accuracy v Ghana - 87.5% (7 on target from 8 shots)

It was already 2-0 for Germany when the red card occured. And if playing poor earns you a draw against Ghana, well bring on Brazil then :D

The US haven't been the best team in the group ffs (not much between them and Ghana with Germany being well ahead of the rest).

Ghana were deserving of their equaliser against the US but typically for an African side ****ed up with a loss of concentration.
