@Rob1981 Germany would have to absolutely smash Hungary and hope for the best if they lose this won't they? Hungary would also need the win so could be a ding dong match, while France-Portugal probably is a turgid 0-0. :D

Yeah I think if Germany lose they are probably out.

Not for definite but they would need a win versus Hungary on Matchday 3 and then hope that 3rd place with only 3 points is enough... may well not be looking at how the other groups are shaping up.

Because Group F is the last to finish as well they might know that 3 points isn't enough for a best third place team before they play... even if they don't know it tonight.

They'll have the advantage of being one of the last group games to play so they'll know what they need to do. But yeh it's going to come down to beating Hungary by a big margin if they lose here. At least 2 goals, probably 3.

There could be three 3rd place teams with 4 points too, which squeezes the teams finishing in 3rd with 3 points

3pts and a 0GD is almost certainly enough to get you through if you finish 3rd bar freak results.

A 2-0 win over Hungary should be enough for Germany if they were to lose this by 1 goal.

Would still expect them to qualify as it stands now tbh.

The Switzerland v Turkey match tomorrow looks huge for so many other teams across the other groups.

If that's a draw or a Turkey win it means 3rd place team in Group A definitely only has 2-3 points... and that's locked in before any of the other groups are playing.

If Switzerland win it means Switzerland/Wales finishing third and they would have four points.

Gosens was great in the first game, really like him as a player, seems like a decent lad too (saw an interview with him and his family about his move to Bergamo).

Müller being Müller too, hate him or love him, you cannot ignore him :D
