Netherlands

Cillessen, Krul, Voorm, Zoet

Van Aanholt, Blind, Janmaat, Kongolo, Martins Indi, Rekik, Veltman, Verhaege, Vlaar, De Vrij

Clasie, Fer, De Guzman, De Jong, Sneijder, Van Der Vaart, Vilhena, Wijnaldum

Boetius, Depay, Huntelaar, Kuyt, Lens, Van Persie, Promes, Robben

I know he has defensive issues but I would like to see Van Aanholt go. His attacking style suits Netherlands way of playing.

There is a caos in Argentina for that list, nobody can believe that Mercado, Demichelis and Rinaudo were included. Also 8 former Estudiantes players.

Am I missing something but did Clichy retire or has he been left out?

Left out for Evra and Digne.

Tevez has "issues". Rumours that he and Messi don't get along, that he causes trouble etc. But he's also hard to fit tactically.

We might play 3 centrebacks and then 2 wingbacks -> Janmaat & Van Aanholt would be ideal.

Tevez isn't good enough, at least compared to the other options. For his type, Agüero and Higuaín are better, even if just slightly.

Put it this way: if you were a manager, out of those three, who would have a higher market value? Tevez would come last.

That's because he's the oldest.

Not everyone is happy with Nasri not getting called up:
Probably the only person. Nasri has never really performed for France and generally isn't that good a player.

Agree with Brett, don't think the Dutch side is anything special tbh. Speaking of the Dutch, why isn't World Clas Van Dijk in it? Surely must be the 1st name on the team sheet.

Argentina's attack is just so ridiculously good

My Argentina team would be

Romero

Zabaleta Demichelis Garay Rojo?

Enzo Mascherano di Maria

Messi

Aguero Higuain

ACtually it's F Fernandez for Demichelis and Gago for Perez

Argentine squad has been announced after a lot of propaganda and silly speeches, it's exactly the same as the leaked one some posts above.

Can't believe Mexico left out Vela. Him, GDS and Chicharito would of been awesome to watch :thdn:

It's Carlos Vela that doesn't want to play for the national team, Mexico did try to convince him many times and he didn't change his mind.

Why would he not want to represent his national team?

He did some silly things in the past which annoyed Mexico's FA and got him suspended for 6 months by them, so his relationship with Mexico's FA isn't good.

Eventually he started improving while Mexico started needing him but that was not enough to convince him to return, Vela said he was not 100% mentally committed to play for the national team and thus he was not called up anymore.

Van Gaal has been watching Sneijder at Galatasaray too much.. Mancini and his 532.. :D

Nasri shouldn't be called up again. Who does his girlfriend think she is that she has the right to insult Deschamps? She should be asked to apologize before Nasri plays for France again.

They're two different people. Her opinions on a boss have no bearing on any potential decision to call him up.
