EnterUsernameHere
Fair enough. I genuinely wasn't sure. I'm a massive fan of Tevez, he gave a lot to City in his time here (although not without some issues along the way ) so I have always had a soft spot for him and probably always will have. I agree that if he's competing directly with Messi/Aguero then he shouldn't be near the side, because Aguero is amazing and Messi is Messi. Interestingly - and because I don't follow international football on any continent besides Europe so I am pretty ignorant here - does this mean Messi and Aguero are unlikely to start together? Think all of di María, Messi, Agüero and Higuaín will start.

Astafjevs
El Shaarawy only played his first game of 2014 (and first since December) on Sunday. He isn't going to be fit enough - Prandelli can't gamble on both him and Giuseppe Rossi. Aquilani was one of a few players that Prandelli lost faith in earlier this year. Players who he felt the shirt 'weighed too heavily' on. Prandelli speak for 'they're just not cut out for this level'. Incidentally, that squad posted by PMLF has 31 players, not 30. The story doing the rounds is that Prandelli is undecided between Giaccherini and Giuseppe Rossi, which is pretty incredible if true.

Astafjevs
Ahh ok, does Aquilani get a look in these days? He still made most of the squads up until this point, because he's doing well for Fiorentina. But we're pretty loaded in central midfield, and if you play like he did (he wasn't bad necessarily, he just didn't make an impact), then you're going to get cut. He's competing against the PSG duo, De Rossi, Pirlo, Montolivo and Marchisio. Six midfielders taking up eight slots. Can't afford not to play well. georginho_juventusygr
Urgh, Candreva. I also don't understand why Prandelli would need to call four goalies up. If one or two are injured, he has a chance to call others up when he submits the 23 because injuries are exempt from the rule. Or so I understand. RubenJ
It's only natural Tevez isn't part of Argentina's squad. Tevez and Messi don't go together. Tevez wants to be the central man, he's a ball hogger, which simply isn't possible if you have Messi in your team and Aguero as well. It's no coincidence they (and Messi as well) started playing much better after Tevez was dropped.
