Wakers
Dear England managers - how to make your life less stressful; Stop picking Glen ****ing Johnson. Seriously. How many goals does he have to be responsible for? He must give away almost a goal every two games. Responsible for both of those tonight, the first one twice. Wakers
Is Hansen blind? No way in the world that Wellbeck meant that. I think you're blind. He clearly did.
SeanNUFC
Struggling against Sweden. and suddenly we are going to win it. Why is this always the reaction from some idiots when we win a game? Can't we just enjoy winning, EH?
ddidiodion
Got to be Walcott and Rooney in for Carroll and Milner now.

matt1389
If we're going to be playing defensive, we definitely need the pace of Walcott/Welbeck/Young to counter. Good first and last 20 minutes (ish).

How many goals does he have to be responsible for? He must give away almost a goal every two games. Responsible for both of those tonight, the first one twice. Totally agree, Johnson is devoid of defensive nous and really is a midfielder in my eyes, he can be brilliant going forward. England need a proper right back. ddidiodion
he made 2/3 last ditch tackles? probably was the best england player tonight  Because he was massively out of position, in fact out of position isn't even accurate because he was never in position once the whole game. wouldnt be averse to dropping young for the ox too Hopefully we'll be a bit more dominant in possession with Rooney in the hole, in which case Young is pretty good but if we're relying on playing on the break thats a good shout. Lermon
I'm never betting on England again.
Marc Albrighton
Imagine being micah richards watching glen johnson starting ahead of you, abysmal defender.
Wakers
he made 2/3 last ditch tackles? probably was the best england player tonight  No he didn't. He made one, which he had to do because he let someone run in behind. He has no tactical intelligence. He lacks concentration. His passing is sloppy and he panics. He is utter dross. It's a bit hard to say he was out of position, considering he was hardly ever in position the whole games. The amount of times he gives the ball away up the pitch and then doesn't track back is just daft. Richards must be gutted.
Jorg
I think you're blind. He clearly did. Yep pretty sure Welbeck did mean it. Really?! I will have another look but 99% sure he was trying to control it.
cms186
he made 2/3 last ditch tackles? probably was the best england player tonight  like **** he was, he played mellburg onside for their equaliser and deflected the ball in, and he only had to make those last ditch tackles because hed got us into those positions in the first place. He also cripples our right hand side because we have to play a defensive winger on the right because johnson is so ***** at defending
daylight
Not sure why people are going against Johnson,he played really well defensively which is not something you can say about him normally,It seems England fans always seem the need to attack the same players,he did pretty well tonight.
matt1389
Got to be Walcott and Rooney in for Carroll and Milner now. Hodgson will be wary of losing the defensive 'solidity' in a game we only need a draw in my opinion. I'd have no problem with what you've suggested myself. lawd
wouldnt be averse to dropping young for the ox too This. He has ben poor for a couple of games, might as wel try AOC

Icelander83
Because he was massively out of position, in fact out of position isn't even accurate because he was never in position once the whole game. This. Johnson is terrible off the ball, no idea where he's supposed to be and manages to be completely out of position for the majority of the game

This match, you weren't watching it closely enough. His defending is abysmal, consistently. Also, someone said that Carroll should be dropped? Why? He scored. Leppard
he made 2/3 last ditch tackles? probably was the best england player tonight  He had to make them tackles because he was horribly positioned in the first place.
Lermon
how is it England spectacuarly go to pieces, then have a mad rush to get it back again- always.
Woodmansee
Thought Carroll played better than Welbeck offensive and defensively, and offers us another dimension that no one else up front can offer. I would stick Welbeck where Young was playing, and Keep Carroll.

Jorg
Of course he did. We are going to have agree to disagree I think. I don't have anything against Wellbeck like half this thread, I just don't think he meant it.
Andrew_
Are they all pissed? Just talking over each other. He meant it. How can you say he went to control it the way he fell over after he touched it. It was a "shot".
scott MUFC
Welbeck meant that. Carroll is the big bloke you pump the ball at, welbeck is the one you want it on the floor in the area

Why? He scored. He was there for a couple of last ditch tackles during the match when normally he would be way out of position,he did much better than he normally does....I am still a Richards fan though,I still could not put Johnson's performance down compared to the other English players tonight. chris79
Typical Theo Walcott. All he has is pace, but he can't score and his final ball is always disappointing.

Woodmansee
It was one of those balls, you just want to keep moving, and hope to score, knowing it will be over the hole for another team mate if not.
Bhoy
thought Zlatan and Kallstrom ran most of that second half. England very lucky to win imo.

daylight
FFS now Ukraine don't look good because the BBC have said so,they said that Sweden was a poor side and they struggled against them and some may say lucky against them. I hope they do get 2nd spot and get Spain .... Or Sheva rolls back the years and sends them home. Hate the smugness,I understood it years ago in the 90's as they had a good attacking team but now it just stinks of "well we are England".
av3ry
That was game of the tournament. Walcott was class but keep him on the bench though because of his pace against tiring defenders. Lucky win but a win is a win. Bye Sweden.

cms186
at least we get rooney back in the next game, can we have walker, wilshere, lampard, carrick, richards, rio, lennon and bent back too please?
