Any player signed before you take over, and you can't cancel, is yours to use. It's no different from players already at the club when you take over.

Any plyer the club sign after you've taken over can't be used.

Thanks @darren1983, sorry I accidentally tagged @Darren1982 lol :)

I believe the country is still not allowed regardless, although I don't think theres any currently

I expected as much. I would say it's different when a league that already has relegation has one or more league below it being created, but in this case it would be changing a real-life scenario. It's not the same.

There's two in the workshop now, one of which seems to follow the right irl rules, and it opens a P/D match between last placed in D1 and champions in D2 starting in 2026. It's something the Dutch FA has been looking at but it probably won't be reality for the next 5-10 years. Mainly because the semi-pros in the 3rd level have no interest in going up and becoming pro clubs.

There is such a big difference between 2 games per week Dulwich Hamlet..

And one game per week Dulwich Hamlet. Mansfield are in League One and we absolutely blew them away. Ebbsfleet are mid table but Crawley and Boston are 1st and 2nd.

I know England brings the extra challenge of a gruelling schedule and lots of games but fatigue has a bigger impact than ever this year. Everything crossed for some strength in depth in this season's youth intake!

Well, this sucks, but a part of the challenge. I have always lost a couple of key players doing this challenge, but I have had very few 5 star players when in the top division. Greif will leave on a Bosman deal at the end of the season.

We are losing our best player by far and I dont really have any replacements for him. A big setback indeed!!

You may already do this but just in case you don't, or for anyone else that maybe doesn't. Little tip with 2 games a week is right after a game I rest my entire starting 11 and subs for 1 day. It does a decent job of preserving fitness at a OK level, it doesn't keep them at 100% but still keeps them in the green and able to play a couple days later.

Hi all,

A few questions on return transfers for this challenge:

  1.  Can I re-sign players who have left my club since I started. For example, at my save in Turkey my board sold a player a few months into save who is now available on the cheap. Can I bring him back?
  2. Longer term query, if I sell a regen from my youth intakes who joined since I started the save can I re-sign him?

Thanks in advance!

Nope, no signings at all

Didn't do any updates on my Sweden save apart from a youth intake. Took me 20 years to get out of tier 4 (can't believe I kept going) and then when I finally get to tier 3 we finish on 12 points and are straight back down. The board expect 11 points from the next 15 and all my players want to leave. So despite not posting the updates on here, it's time to start again (with more frequent updates). Can't make my mind up where to go.

As level 10 had no relegation, I loaded up the leagues down to level 9.

I don't know why I took Smethwick, other than that it sounds a bit filthy. And I like the colors.

I live near Smethwick and yes it is filthy

Ok thanks

This also means no loans in, even loan back clauses when you sell players are not allowed. No players should ever be in the "In" part of the transfer history at all. *

* - A few exceptions like if there were pre-set transfers when you took over that is impossible to use, those players are free game. And if the board buy players without your input, but those players cannot be used for anything, and should be put int he reserves sold asap. And no mentoring or the like.

Yes thanks for the clarification, all makes sense :)

So there is a glimmer of hope regarding promises.....

I have 2 youth players that play regularly in the DM position and 1 has retrained and is really showing massive improvement, so it can be done

3.Liga

Table.thumb.PNG.a6e6f51db5960055b1cb03a93027f371.PNG

It was a season straight out of a movie.
The season started reasonably well, considering our team, with solutions for all positions, we were gaining points especially in home games.
We were always in the top 10, until in the final months, things started to change, we climbed the rankings and entered the fight for promotion.
The last game was frantic, in the 89th minute Wurzbuger drew 3-3 and we were far from our dream, but then in the 90+1th minute, the winning goal and Wurzbuger were out of the race. What a crazy game.
Financially, this club is a leaky boat! We pay our players too much and I can't get offers for some players either.
The club had elections, but it was the old management that allowed me to get my National C licence.

DFB Pokal - We didn't enter the cup this year.´

Under 19 - Despite not having a large squad or the desired quality, we came 4th in the Regionalliga Nordost.

Since the club doesn't have the necessary infrastructure, I can't ask for much in terms of youngsters. It wasn't a bad intake, with 3 youngsters who could make the first team.

As good FM news always has a catch, here's my......

Yes, especially for a newly promoted club.
I understand that the capacity is 15,000, but I think you could rent a stadium nearby and not mortgage the club.

Not logical at all. Should we consider this as a bug?

Season started pretty good with 21 points in 14 games and 6th place with like 13 points more than the last placed team, as you can see the remaining 22 games went not as good and we confirmed the 1001.00 odds to win the league.

Stadium

Also last place in average attendance because of "our" small stadium.

At least we're first place looking at the capacity %...

...and in the sell out table.

The good start really fcked me, in the winter the board raised their expectations to "avoid relegation" and I wasn't able to do that. 5 matches before the end, I thought, they won't sack me, because they would've done it by now, hence prepared for next season and gave the youth prospects some time. Results then got better (we scored at least while conceding 3+ per game). And after the last match and a quick talk, I got sacked.

Summary

Now I take a break, after that maybe I go to Germany to manage my home team or go back to Slovenia, but before that I have to learn the game lol.

The goal is 45 points, and we look pretty set to achieve that

Only 2 As, but with the improvements in Youth Recruitment and Junior Coaching, I have to assume that that GK and Full Back would be a top player on our team
