Which tactic are you using ??

this tactics have been doing wonders for me..

5th season with spurs, won the last 4 league titles and lots of domestic cup, won europa league in season one but lost last 2 champions league final..

I want to win the champions league badly!!

Greetings all.

You may have noticed a took a bit of time out from gaming and online world, been a pretty tough few months, but life is back on track. I'd also like to take the chance to apologies to those of you that waited for 'FuSStastic V1' to be released, personal problems got rather on top of me.

Anyway a couple of days before the full release of FM-2013 seemed like the perfect time to stick my head above the parapet and declare that I will of course be creating something new for the next game!

Good to see you back FuSS! :thup: Hope life wasn't too rough for you.

Will there still be an update for the flat 4-4-2 V3, or for the 4-1-2-3 V1 (both from FM12)?

I probably won't buy FM13 untill all patches are there and so I am hoping for another good FM12 game with one of your tactics.

Gonna give this a try with Spurs while waiting for a solid 442 or 4411 to appear. Should I just go with thr regular first 11 for Spurs? Who would you start in midfield and who do you prefer on the left or right for the striker slots? I was gonna go with Defor on left and Ade on right. Thanks.

I'm not liking FM13 much so far. Finding it very hard to get a consistent tactic up and running.

I can thump three teams in a row by 4 or 5 - 0 and then be played off the pitch by somebody like Stoke.

Grumble over, I might try something completely new.

I wonder if this is a deliberate part of this years design - one universal tactic just doesnt seem to perform consistently, SI seem to want us to chop and change tactics to particular opponents. Or maybe its just a very wobbly ME.

I wonder if the upcoming patch will bring some stability. Until then I am swapping between a narrow and wide 4-1-2-2-1 and hardly daring to watch away games :)

I think SI have to do something. It is extremely difficult to get any sort of run going unless you spend hours analysing the opposition. Which I don't - as I play FMC.

For the last few years tight marking and highish closing-down have been a given, a default we've all become overly reliant on being correct. Seems therein lies the problem.

I've been on-top and even dominating games...but not creating enough CCC's...keeping a lot of clean sheets but usually only actually winning 1-0. Turn off tight marking and lower closing down and I'm leaking a few more goals...but I'm getting 8-10CCCs a game with the same tactics.

This sounds like exactly what I'm going through. Don't get me wrong, I'm winning trophies but I'm just not happy with the football being played, so I tweak it, smash a few teams, then struggle again so end up reverting back to the original tactic and starting over. That's basically the pattern for me right now.

Any idea as to why that's helping you create more CCC's?

I'm having a nightmare with my Crewe team at the minute.

My 442 which got me promoted last season (12/13) with Crewe has been leaking 2-3 goals a game in the Championship...

I know it's an all new league etc but still....

Back to the drawing board for me again.

Agreed, I've lowered my defensive line and am closing down less and have found I'm defending better - certainly getting fewer instances of central defenders just standing about as a forward nips past them and runs onto a throughball to score. I havent seen it resulting in more CCCs for me though - have you tweaked anything else in an attacking sense?

I've taken all everyone who isn't a DMC or a defender off of tight marking...so anyone that's essentially and attacking player is zonal and loose. Seems to have helped a lot. Plus as already mentioned less closing down for everybody.

I wouldn't bother before the next ME patch tbh.

That said every tweak looks positive, it all looks like improving the defence, the d-line and improving wingers tracking back (something I've found a massive pain in the arse personally)...so im really looking forward to it!

· Brought wingers a bit deeper when defending

· Weaker players more likely to favour direct passes quicker

· Improved short pass accuracy slightly

· Tried to increase number of crosses slightly

· Fine-tuned shot accuracy

· Fixed some minor player on ball decision bugs

· Improved trajectory of medium length kicks like free kick shots and corners

· Made players better at offering out ball to team mate

· Tried to improve player reactions to deflected balls or tackles

· Made players more willing to slide tackle when opportunity and need arises

· Fixed some unnatural save directions from keepers

· Fixed keepers trying to save ball at wrong point when its heading for post or bar

· Made players slightly better at turning body while on the run

· Made strongest player stand ground when 2 players collide while going for a header

· Made goal celebration paths a little bit more varied

· Fixed commentary saying ball well wide when not really that far wide

· Some ball physics collision tweaks

· Some team talk fixes

· Further tuned team shape and d-line position when defending

· AM strata now comes back to defend unless set to "all-out attack"

· Made d-line shift up when opposing player with ball is successfully pressed

· Made d-line shift back quicker when attacking player is running with pace at them with the ball

· Some tweaks to marking of opponents in own area

· Fixed defenders shifting across as full back engages winger in last third causing bad shape

· Tried to reduce instances of players heading ball they could control a split second later

Ive been using Fusstidious for most formations but switching to Vodu when theres a five man midfield up against me. I also use variations of vodu when defending a lead and chasing the game. Results have been BSQ and premier titles and two FA trophies with Whitehawk (swapped them for the cash-strapped Truro).

First impressions of the new patch. Lots more possession, much more control, much crisper passing, better marking...it's like they've hit the easy button! I imagine they'll be a flood of new tactics now.

Lurking around the forums, complaining about the ME. :p

Nah just haven't been to active in the tactics sharing forum since I mainly started using TC tactics and shouts.

So you think it's easier now to form a good solid tactic? Sounds like you are close to achieving that? In that case, I'm looking forward to that!

This is with a depleted Spurs team missing several key players. This is my test match of choice, ie I intend to play it several times as I find Man City away to be one of the consistently hardest matches I've played with a variety of teams.

The key here is the CCCs, the possession I can build on easily enough.

One of each at the moment, looks a little lop sided, but gives me a lovely range of player positions.

This looks awesome.

Is it soon for you to estimate its release?

Well I'm happy that the base is good. Which means I can now play with individual things (like passing) and check against the base. So I would say the hard bit is done, it's now just about tweaking and trying to see what little difference really open up this match engine.
