Will perhaps old FM customers have a discount ?

It's not the msot expensive game in the world is it? £29.99.

So a discount of £4.49.

You will probably find it at this price and less online.

I don't get why people complain about the price of this game - far better value than a lot of things.

I've ate steaks more expensive (and tougher!)

Two weeks after this game is launched millions more will be spending £40+ for the latest COD, as scott said for the amount of hours that I get out of FM the £25 is money well spent, just a shame it has costs me thousands in PC upgrades.

This. I always buy my next PC to be future-FM-proof or for at least 3 or 4 versions... I'm hoping last year's new one will last a long while :crosses fingers: (although the hard-drive is already kaput and I can't afford a replacement to copy everything onto and invoke the guarantee :()

Having bought two PCs, two laptops, every version of the game since CM2 and spent an awful lot of money on upgrades in the meantime...

...I'm still happy enough with the price of FM each year.

Of course, I now have a wife to buy it for me. Want expensive? Try getting married :D

My kids buy me the game every xmas so they can get it at a much lower price on e-bay (new and unused). As the guys say above, this game is better value than any other game out there and is well worth the money.

As far as I remember Steam applies super charges to non UK customers, something like 30-50% more.

Then I didn't complain, I just asked.

It would be nice if non UK lucky customers could express their opinion, not everyone takes super high UK salaries and non UK customers via Steam pay much more then UK customers.

this is almost as bad as random customers asking for random discounts just because they are buying 1 crappy item in my work, the nerve!

OT - I saw a man ask for a discount on some kid's trainers in Sports Direct once cos they were "slightly dirty". They cost £8....

But I digress - I doubt SI/Sega would consider this.

You keep saying that, when the majority of people in the UK are lucky to be getting 14,000 euros a year before tax.

I doubt that's the average salary in UK , 40 hours per week.

I was told by UK inhabitants that the lowest salary in UK is around 50k per year, just a very basic and young employee.

Lowest banking employee wage is just over £10k a year.

Good site for you to play around with, should give you a good idea of the sort of wages in the UK.

10k are roughly 13-14k euros.

That's impossible, my UK collegues ( IT fields ) in the same company I work for, earn 3 times my salary...... same speech for secretaries, consultants, washing men etc...

I think something is wrong somewhere

They're lying to you. IT though is quite specialist, so it's quite possible, I guess. Washing men won't be earning 3 times as much as you.

When I worked at a games company that shall remain nameless, I was earning the same amount as the people who cleaned the floors :(

Oh the IT field can pay very well, yes. If you can get a position at a good company you can get £30k+ for just walking around and fixing their PCs.

Now I understand better.

Anyway a man who manually washes dishes in UK earns 3 times the salary of a man washing dishes in my country ( one of the worst in the europe cause mafia etc... )

A stagist in my country earns 300 euros per months if he is lucky enough.

Within IT field my Norvegian, UK and German collegues earn around 120k per year, roughly 3-4 times my salary. ..and I have been working since 15 years in the IT fields...

Not me, all I'd get is an empty can/bottle...

@grep - this article gives you more info regarding UK salaries, like average wage in the city compared to out of it, etc..

See I'd never trust averages simply because the guys at the top get paid loads, while the people at the bottom get paid very little.

It would take a hell of a lot of little paid people to scale the average down enough to be truly representative.

Yes but each graph on that site also includes the number of people from whom the average is calculated, it's probably fairly accurate tbf.

When comparing wages you need to look at the median and upper/lower percentiles as well. Because, as you say, there is a huge difference in salaries so just looking at the average pay tells you very little.
