Leo751751
I have got this 16 year old. I just got a message saying that he has got and will be out for 5 weeks. You cant get arthiritis at 16. If he got it, it would surely be the end of his career. Is this a bug.
ftg87
You can get arthritis at 16. There are varying degrees of severity and different types of arthritis, so it is entirely possible that a footballer could have it at 16 and still continue playing
Matt ex SEGA
No, it's not - there's several forms of reactive arthritis (I think that's what it's called) that you can get at a young age and recover from.
ahmufcwafc
You can get arthiritis at any age. It wouldn't be incuded in the game if this wasn't true. Never seen that happen before in FM myself though.

Not necessarily, Ian Murray of Hibs has Arthritis irl and he's still playing
Timmytom
Ledley King has arthritis in his knee. As has a friend of mine at 20. Therefore its a reasonable assumption that a 16 year old could get it
Insert_Goal_Here
My friend got it younger than that. Used it to get out of P.E back in school. Probably just lying tbh.

Quboid
I got it at about 22. In fact I got mine playing football, which at a guess this guy did quite a bit of. I mistimed a clearance and kicked the back of an opponent's foot. I tried to limp it off but gave up after about 5 touches. It was painful for a week or so and I now think I fractured my big toe. I should have gone to A&E with hindsight. Anyway, it healed over time but that toe gets aches, which the doc says is a particular kind of arthritis. The other guy didn't even notice he got kicked! Wee Aja
A mate of mine was born with Arthritis. He's in his 30's now and still suffers terribly. Nothing out of order with that injury.

Dalimyr
You cant get arthiritis at 16.I think you'll find that you can. There wouldn't be a condition known as "juvenile idiopathic arthritis" if you couldn't (yes, arthritis can affect children as well...it's just more common for elderly people to suffer from it)If he got it, it would surely be the end of his career. Not necessarily. Arthritis can potentially be career-threatening, but it varies quite considerably in strength. I'm 22 and have mild arthritis in my knees (which I've had since I was...14?). As much as I enjoy football, running around hurts like hell, but I'm still capable of playing sports even if it means fighting through a pain barrier to do so.In PE in school I had a lovely teacher who knew about it and used to always look out for me. She accepted that I wanted to play but found it very painful. We'd be split into four teams and play three games (one game against each of the other three teams). She'd deliberately stick me in a team with an extra player, and she'd always make sure I was in the first game we played. I'd then always (through my own choice) sit out of the second game, and I got to decide whether or not I was up for playing the third game.

santy001
Gifton Noel Williams career was effectively ruined by arthritis, he was one of the up and coming footballers in England and he never got over it, however, since then he has usually played quite well in the early stages of seasons and in spain where he moved to not too long back. Think he plays in the US, but it does happen to players and it can be worse for some than others.
