I am hoping to collate as many results as I can in a period of about a month and will publish my findings here for those that are interested.

Occupation – student, employed part time, employed full time, self employed, unemployed, retired: Employed full time

Game analysis

Score = 1 – 10 (1 = awful, 5 = average and 10 = excellent)

Tactics – all aspects of the tactical system including sliders, formations, etc

Score = 3. Not intuitive at all.

Transfer system – buying and selling, loaning, co-ownership, contracts, clauses, etc

Score = 1 - rewrite did nothing for me :(. Clubs don't buy what they need, managers with wingless tactics buy 4 left wingers for £100 m.

Training – coaches, schedules, current and potential abilities, etc

Score = 6 - Need to be linked closer to ractics imho

Squad harmony – squad rotation, team performance, player’s status, morale, etc

Score = 6 - quite decent, need more interaction with players.

Finances – stadium expansion, player’s wages, prize money, stadium/training facilities/youth system upgrading

Score = 10 - this part works great

Player interaction – keeping players happy, different training regimes, tutoring, etc

Score = 6 - needs to be more advanced with a bigger impact on the game, currently tactics plays a bit to big of a part for me

Board interaction – finances, team performance, transfer policy, etc

Score = 6 - needs a bit more depth, otherwise quite decent

Difficulty – ability to play game based on a casual, everyday user

Score = 1 or 10 - Need to invest a lot of time in this game, you get what you put in. Not exactly plug and play

Interface – navigation around the game screens, ability to find/alter options, etc

Score = 3 - The tools are great, but it's poorly presented.

3D match engine – useful for displaying tactics during a match, scouting players, etc

Score = 1 - I have a great pc and no trouble running this, but still I hate it. Maybe next year.

Many thanks so far for your responses - I didn't envisage this many people would bother!!!

As I said I'll keep this running for a month or so and publish the results soon after that. Please keep to the designated options that I have provided on the survey and if you feel that something should be included/excluded then please let me know.

Thanks again :)

Hope I've put this in the right place!

To prepare me for potential employment with Opta (the sports statistics company), I'm currently looking at some analysis from Football Manager users in order to build up a better picture of what/who they are, what they like/dislike about the game and other facts about their game, etc.

I am hoping to collate as many results as I can in a period of about a month and will publish my findings here for those that are interested.
