What I'd like to see is that the graphical issues that were present in FM16 touch are fixed in FM17 touch. No, I don't mean the 3D stuff with the match engine, but the menu and overall UI bugs that made FM16 touch feel like a totally unfinished product...

For the tablet versions I would love too see a screen shot button/ bug report button somewhere on the match engine tab screen simply so it makes life easier too use press it and then after the game you write about it and it automatically sends a bug report too you all on here.

I'd really like the option to turn off the in-app purchase buttons. I'm never going to use them and feel them being so frequent and prominently displayed cheapens the entire experience.

I get that some people use them, but just a button in the settings that says "turn off in-app purchases" would be really appreciated

Please never EVER introduce player/team interactions, their omission from FMT is one of the biggest reason it is as good as it is!

FMT was designed with "old school" way of playing in mind, which means tactics and transfers. I don't remember that in old CM/FM games your players came crying for being on the bench too often. Not to mention tactical familiarity, financial fairplay, homegrown players and other b*llocks people want port over to FMT from full FM.

Yes, those things are realistic, but FMT was not envisaged like that. If you want a completely (or as much as possible) realistic football management sim, there is full FM for you. Seriously, guys.

I disagree with this 100 per cent. FMM 2017 has included player interactions and this hasn't bloated the game in any way, shape or form.

FMM is more of an old school way of playing FM. Certainly it's closer to the CM style than FMT is. I think you can improve FMT with a few additional features without running the risk of making it a FM clone.

There already is player and team interactions, but these are reactive rather than proactive features. Players come to you when they have gone 'public' with an issue, and when your team is on a roll (undefeated, losses, or fate hangs in the balance on the final game), you get the option to have a "team meeting". It's intended to be a more lightweight, fun experience and not full blown, immersed experiences like it's bigger brother. What kinds of player and team interactions you feel FMT is missing, or what sorts of problems you are having, we'd appreciate hearing them.

One thing Classic and now Touch mode is designed for, is getting through seasons quickly. Introducing certain elements not only bring it closer to "full" FM, but also potentially take away the faster gameplay that Classic and Touch is made for.

Exactly my point.

Don't add any more interactions to it, it's fine as it is. The same goes for many other full FM features people want to include, they'd just bog down FMT.

That doesn't mean we wouldn't consider adding an interaction event sent to the user in specific circumstances where it feels right. For example in FMT17 you will get the chance to say something to the squad in a team meeting (single string 'conversation' news item) before the final game of the season if its important, this wasn't previously possible in earlier versions. Overall though it is a delicate balance and one we want to maintain to keep Touch mode being quick to play :)

i think this is perfect. keep some interaction there but not too much.

still want the ability to interact here and there with the squad as a whole or individual players.

p.s. my 1 main wish for now with FMT is what someone said a bit further up. Please please have option to disable any in-game purchases. it completely takes away the reality, and immersion of the game, even by it just popping up in the corner.

i get the feeling that most FMT players just want a more streamlined version of the full FM but still keeping it as life like as possible.

Thanks

What problems in your saves are you having that you think having these options would solve? What's the context?

Personally i feel it misses even just the odd question about a transfer rumour, whether its a player linked with your club or away from your club.or even when a player says hes gone to the press to to express frustrations at first team oppurtunities, have the press then ask you about that situation.doesnt have to be 4-5 questions even if its just 1-2. Personaly if it was up to me id have it as full on i could on ipad pro.tablet is more portable than laptop, and just prefer that but miss full fat version

  • Possibility to control tutoring
  • Possibility to initiate team-meetings
  • Database
  • Keep player dialogue at a minimum, but when it occurs, make it more useful. Replying to a question and getting "Well, I don't think that solves anything" back in your face every time, with no option to offer something else instead is not very strong gameplay. In example:

Player: I wan't to move to a bigger club.

Manager: I will try to bing in better players to match your ambition.

Player: Well I don't think that solves anything.

And afterwards, the player is angry and doesn't perform well.

First of all, the reply from the player could be modified so it's not always exactly the same. Secondly; how about an option to open a new dialogue, or continue the dialogue, when the managers first proposal has been turned down by the player. Maybe the manager could have the option to say afterwards "ok., I will let you go at the end of the season", or "I'm confident we will qualify for The Champions Leage this year, but if we don't I will let you go at the end of the season". And again, if the player is still not happy with your replies, there could be an option to end the dialogue by either saying "ok., I will transfer list you now" or, "sorry, I understand your unhappiness, but I won't sell you"..... I think that would really increase the game experience on the player dialogue subject.

I agree with the above re some of the dialogue.  More often that not you can't pacify the player regardless of what you say.  Ok he might want to go to Juventus but if Juventus are only offering peanuts maybe an option to tell him that might help.  Sometimes he complains that he wants to go to Juventus but they haven't even made an offer so again an option to tell him that he might want to go to Juventus but they don't seem interested should be an option.

1.  Really would like the option of a Manager photo back.  When you use graphics every other player/manager/coach in the game has a photo bar you which is a shame considering it's you who are playing the game!!

2.  Whilst I am not an advocate of more dialogue in FMT I do think that some form of team talks could be an option.  Especially helpful with those annoying winless runs when there doesn't seem like much you can do bar just wait for a lucky break.

3.  It would be nice if you had an option as an incoming manager to make your own decision on players out on loan and bring back a few if you see fit.  At West Ham I have Carroll and Sakho out for several months at the start of the first season with injury and have very little money to spend.  Plus I don't really want to spend it on a second rate striker who will probably not play once they are back.  For some reason loan options since the last patch are limited first season as well so I can't bring a decent loan striker in for a few months and yet I have Toni Martinez and Enner Valencia out on loan with no option to recall so that's two strikers I could do with.

Ok maybe it's not particularly realistic but in FMT you can't disable the first transfer window so it's also not realistic to see Tottenham but Philip Couthino from Liverpool within a week or so of starting a new game so an option to cancel certain loans would be helpful in squad building on a budget,.

4.  As above an option to disable the first transfer window like you can in full fat would be a good addition.

5.  And of course an "Editor".

Removal of specialized roles and their hard coded PI from tactics creator would be nice. It should be like general position such as WM, AM, CM without any specialist roles for them to choose. Then through PI we can make the players behave exactly as we want. PI can be implemented like multiple choices for every position.

An example would be, for AM roles PI can be implemented like below.

1) Position (Higher/ Much Higher/ Lower / Much Lower)

2) Drop Deeper ( More / Much More)

3) Forward Runs (Near Goal line / Edge of Penalty Box)

This way, there will be no confusions in selecting specialist roles for any type of squad and any players can be made to play like exactly the way a manager wants.

Training can also be altered to supplement players' PI. For example, instead of putting a player in AM or Enganche training regime, all players will train attributes according to their position by default. Managers can influence the development of their attributes by choosing a particular PI. In this case, if I choose training emphasis on "Shoot more Often" for an AM, attributes that helps a player shooting will get more weightage during training duration.

This year I've gone all-in on Touch just using my iPad and not buying the PC/Mac version for the first time since CM2! Once you get through the 'things are different so I don't like X' part it's great - 17 has been a very good version and, to butcher the camera quote, the best FM is the FM you have with you so I play far more than the past few versions. The biggest things I hope get improved in future on Touch are largely about interface:

  • Scroll lists can be very difficult, they don't speed up like standard iOS interfaces so huge lists (eg. Nations) can be very time consuming. Lists in small sub-frames are almost impossible to touch and flick at the right place.
  • Select tick boxes - actually, start with a 'select all' button and that would fix a lot but I can't tell you the amount of times I've missed that tiny tick touch target after selecting the previous 80 players in a list to scout and wiped them all out!
  • There's a lag on drag and drop which can make it tricky sometimes for things like substitutes and moving positions on the tactics editor - once you get used to it it sort of goes away but I imagine pretty frustrating for new users.
  • Make use of the iPad Pro smart keyboard and let me use shortcut keys.
  • Selecting any information to be shown on the pitch (eg. formations, other scores, live table etc.) is completely hidden for most of the match when the main big box covers the screen when there are no highlights - this whole screen space could be cleverly re-worked to accommodate the smaller screen size with less white [green pitch] space around things.
  • Very much just an iPad request - don't freeze the game when I pull over a sidebar app.

And then a few things not really interface related:

  • Online would be great if you could make it simple, I imagine this is hugely difficult and unlikely for a while.
  • Perhaps like on the full version I could make some trade-offs in performance for more stuff - side-stepping the technical nuances of this, but my iPad Pro is pretty powerful, let me accept some stuff will load slowly at the expense of another league or two, a larger database, more player pictures, keeping more detailed player and club history through a long-term save etc.
  • Agreed on a few from above - follow-on to the standard 'well I think that solves nothing' interaction, option to turn-off the purchases stuff, board ultimatums to try and force requests, player tutoring (PLEASE), detailed affiliate club options and save video highlights.

All in all, really happy with it, hope some of these could be looked at!

Has there been any reason given to not letting custom DB and the editor be used in Fm Classic. The main game is just too consuming these days and i enjoy classic mode but the being unable to edit anything stops me playing this. Its disappointing as im being to be turned off the idea of buying the next FM

My wish (again) is that FMT is not clogged with more options for player interactions, team talks and other similar factors. I don't want it to turn into Morale Manager like full FM sometimes feels like.

Just leave it as it is. I'm perfectly fine with what we have now. Even unhappy players can perform just as well because morale is not as big a factor as in full version (or so it feels to me).

I posted this in the suggestions forum, but this might be the better place?

Started playing FMT again recently, but found that I liked the squad building side and team selection, but the tactical side still turns me off.

I love the Instant Result with simulation idea - go for win, play for draw, etc, but just having the score pop up is very anti-climactical (not sure if that's a word, but I'm gonna run with it!)

If it was possible to have an option whereby you simulate the game, but could watch the highlights of the game before knowing the score, that would create an immersive factor for those who want to simulate rather than play out the matches, and would make me enjoy the game again.

You can select a match plan while the game/match is running now.

Didn't realise that! Cool, will see how that works - could be even better as assuming can change the match plans to suit how the game pans out.

Just select the tactic formation button and the option is in there :)

I think that to have the menus scattered with in-app purchases, having just paid £19.99 for the iPad version, is a bit much don't you think? At least have an option to remove them from sight or make the base price much cheaper if these IAP are going to a permanent feature going forward.

My only other requests would be to remove the max leagues playable or increase how many you can run con-currently on more powerful devices such as the iPad Pro. And to streamline DoF roles in the staff screen, rather than having to request that they intervene in contract negotiations on the actual contract screen.

Other than that, really enjoying playing FM on the move with my iPad and looking forward to future versions.
