Off topic - I notice that so many games don't get released in Germany. I can sort of understand ultra violence games but why on earth is FM not sold there? and why are the German national side non existent in FM?

4. Well, here in the states I think online (STEAM) is the only option. "Football Manager" wouldn't be a title likely to pop up at a Gamestop or Wal-mart around these parts, although admittedly I've never checked.

By searching the web for a footie management sim. The first link I checked was the demo to CM00/01, which was about to be released, on the SI site. Suffice to say, I didn't need to look beyond that.

Because FIFA Manager has bought the exclusive rights to publish a Football Management Game (with original data?) in Germany.

2) Because when I bought FM'09 I didn't understand what any of the sliders meant and figured the forums would be a good place to start.

3) I remember reading about a baseball simulation game that was REALLY in depth and the reviewer compared it negatively to CM or FM, saying that the game had a long, long way to go before it could hold a candle to the depth of CM (or FM, not sure which). I remembered that and, as I started following the sport more after Euro '08, figured I'd give this a shot.
