Barkermush
I'm not pre-ordering this year, last year i was foolish enough to take up Zavi's cheap offer. Only to be one of those who recieved the game nearly 7 days after the release day. I suppose Zavi is a good cheap option for those who don't mind waiting a bit longer for the game, but i'm quite an impatient person. I will be off to Game for my copy of FM11. TigerTime
I ordered from Zavvi and was one of the lucky ones who got it a couple of days before release. If I don't get an email saying it's being dispatched a couple of days before release I will simply cancel the order and get FM from HMV on Saturday morning. You were on of the lucky ones. It was strange last year, they posted some out early and posted other's out late. There was no pattern either, i remember some people who ordered their copy of FM10 a week or so before the release of FM10, recieved their copys of the game on time or early. While other people who ordered a couple of Months before had to wait 4/5 days longer before they got their copy.

Wonky
CoolShop are currently the cheapest, as far as I can see, at £24.38 I bought Assassin's Creed II and FIFA11 from them (2 separate orders) and had no issues. Fast delivery. I'll go with them for FM11 as well. http://www.coolshop.co.uk/catalog/product/64026-football-manager-2011--for-pc
scholes=legend
Just had an email from Amazon saying the game has been shipped! Surely they cant have any copies of the game yet or have I just misunderstood the email and they've actually just placed my order with DBGamez? I really dont understand the email from Amazon because normally when they send me emails saying something has been shipped I get it the next day! I have also ordered mine with Amazon and the reason they have got your order as shipped is because if they didn't your order would probably be cancelled. With DBGamez they are making sure we recieve FM11. I emailed them and they told me we should recieve the game for the release date.

dresden
From direct2drive: Hi there,Thanks for contacting us, insofar as we're aware, the developers have not requested preloads for FM2011. The game would be available to download as soon as it's released. Feel free to contact me with any more questions you might have. Kind regards, Rich Metcalfe Lead Technical Specialist Digital Distribution SI - wouldn't it be nice to have a normal download retailer somewhere (i.e. not Steam) let you preload? Pretty please, if possible?

Hershie
I'm considering pre-ordering from Steam, but wondering whether my university would be unhappy at my downloading. JoshDaCane
Does anyone know of a reputable US retailer that is offering the DVD? I've never used Steam and I much prefer to have the physical disc (yes, I listen to CDs in my car too, deal with it) but I can't really find any other outlets. I haven't bought the game in the past couple of years, I think when I got 2008 I ordered the US "Worldwide Soccer Manager" version from Amazon.com but FM2011 isn't available to preorder from there yet. I'll be right in the middle of a rough time for work/school so there's no huge rush to get it on release day, but I want to make sure it's in hand when I can start really working at it. reece1973
Only just noticed Tesco no longer sell PC games in store. I was in my local store last year at 5am to get my copy and now im stuck as where to buy it from. The nearest Tesco is only across the road from work yet now i will probably have to endure a trip to Manchester City Centre which is a nightmare. tottenhamfmo7
When might I be able to pre-order on Steam?I was a steam doubter but got it there last year and it is so simple, easy and no problems. You can't pre-order it on Steam! But I usually receive an email from Amazon.com by this time each year notifying me that it is available. Maybe I'll get that email soon. (probabably at the same time that the demo is available.) The only problem with getting it from Amazon is that (at this time) they are using only one company to deliver the product to U.S. consumers. That company is in the UK and delivery time is 18 to 26 days for shipping. The cost with shipping it is $53.94. I wonder if the price will go down at all. Sega America is using Direct2Drive for downloads, but I was told by their Support Staff that (at this time) they will only have the PC version available. Which sucks since I have a Mac. I always received it about 3 days after release date in the past and there was no shipping expense. Is there a better way to order the boxed game and get it to the USA? I don't think so. In the past, the game for us in the U.S. was called Worldwide Soccer Manager and was available through Amazon U.S. directly. Now that is called even Football Manager for us, I am under the belief that we will only be able to get the boxed game as an Import and wait on the long delivery time. I even tried for a shorter delivery time through Amazon and was not able to do so. Also, $49.99 is a little over 31 pounds, which is around the price that everyone is talking about. So if stays as an Import, the price of $49.99 makes sense.
Long Islander
Amazon.com emailed me in the past concerning WWSM09 and FM10. Both were available for preorder directly from them. ICouldn\'tThinkOfANameNotT
Wait wait, I thought us Mac users could use Steam to play the game this year. I have an older Mac and have tried to use Steam in the past and it really slowed down the performance of any game. My graphic card is not suitable for 3D gaming, but FM 10 plays wonderfully for me if I keep it at 2D.

anagain
I'm just paying £29.99 for the Steam version. Can't go wrong with that in my opinion. It's not like I'm on a tight budget.
