would love to see:

- A message to your inbox when a shortlisted player gets transfer listed or free transfered ( clubs don't always offer you players )

- A shortlist for potential staff

- Better databasing of lower league / non league clubs and players

- New commentary lines, seems i've read the same commentary lines for the last 10 years ! (if there is a download with new lines please let me know ! )

I've noticed that most of the people are not using a 90min full match, so why not to create like CM did a customized key moments in order to be able to select the actions you want ( tackle, key passes, etc... ) to see, and avoid some other ( throwin, kick-off etc.. ) . So the match will take 30-40 min with a better immersion in management.

I feel 90 min too long and the key moments too fast.

Thanks.

I'm with you 100%. We should be able to choose ourselves what we consider to be key moments.

My request is simple, not sure if mentioned before in this thread but i'd like the option back to fine players for unprofessional behaviour for speaking to the press out of term(it was in 09 before the updates) I'd also like to fine a player for no reason at all. I need these options.

Having used Steam the past couple of years SI need to bring out a better multiplayer environment and the ability to host a dedicated server for online games.

I agree, better Steam integration would be nice. The ability to join a friend's game through Steam rather than having to mess around with router settings or use hamachi would be excellent. FM doesn't really seem to be making much use of Steam at the moment other than the achievements. Online play through Steam is an obvious candidate, in fact I'm surprised it's not already in FM yet.

Also, press conferences tend to get repetitive really fast... Better, more varied questions and much better answers please. Incidentally, while were on the topic, why is there no news items on whats said in press conferences? When playing a network game, it'd be nice to see what your rivals/friends say in their press conferences. Otherwise it's pretty pointless.

Last one, please increase the team talk options.... I hate "For the Fans!"... it's ridiculous... and there's no way anyone in real life would say that for the majority of matches (as recommended by assistants...) The other options are exactly that great either... a wider range of feelings and comments would be nice.

I think it would be good if the European away games were made a little bit more realistic.

Currently, its as though you fly out your whole squad to foreign countries (your 1st team, reserves and U18 squads!), so just the before the match you can choose from any players you like. It should be made more realistic so you have to chose your squad for the away European match approx 3 days before the match (depends on how far away the opposition are), so you have to choose your squad 3 days before the match, then just before the match you select the actual team. the Squad size you can take out would be set at a limit of say 20 players.

I guess it would be possible to highlight CL and EL spots on league tables in some color. In lower leagues automatic promotion and playoff spots are highlighted, but for some reason top leagues don't have this.

It'd be nice to make it a lot easier for players & managers to work their way up the Icons and Legends list easier, I can't seem to get past Favoured Personnel even if my player has broken the club's all-time scoring record, won the Premier League golden boot and finished 3rd in world player of the year.

Also, just a small thing but it'd be nice to have named Derby matches in news items, so when Arsenal and Spurs play each other the news item says "Fans optimistic ahead of North London Derby" "Fans ecstatic with North London Derby win" etc.

When a player requests a transfer or gets annoyed with transfer speculation, I think you should be able to tell him that this club is on the verge of something special and we will be winning things in a couple of years.

A stat for each league showing who is the all time leading scorer in that division.

for example: Premier League all time leading goalscorer: Alan Shearer ??? goals

The Premier League also counts the old first division in FM, in which case the Premier League's all-time top goalscorer is Jimmy Greaves.

But yes, I would like to see all-time stats lists. For clubs & nations you could have the all-time top 25 appearances/goalscorers. So you could break into these tables

For leagues you could probably extend it to more. And you could do the top socrers in each countries domestic leagues, as a lot of players score in several tiers as they move clubs and get promotion etc.

You could also do World Records, like the Hall of Fame for all-time top goalscorers and all-time top appearance makers in the history of the game.

Also, I would like a history page of all the clubs previous managers, and their Win/Draw/Loss and win % ratios, then it can be added to as the game goes on.

I wouldn't mind seeing more work done in the Job Application and player signing area:

- When you apply for a managerial position at a club, the club should interview asking you about what you can bring to this club and your ambitions (basically to help you give a better chance of obtaining the job!)

- When you are signing a player, just like what I said above, you should be able to talk to him about the clubs ambitions and where he will fit into the team. I think signing a player on the current FM is too basic and should go into much more detail.

I like the idea of job interviews for managerial jobs. They were on a past version of FM iirc.

Yeah great idea. I've mentioned this before.

I would take it one step further and employ it for ALL games! home , away, league cup and continetial. Should be an 18-20 man squad the day before a game for away games and maybe more players for home games

He's not a coach though, is he? Lots of footballers have died whilst still playing for club. You can't keep them all in the game.

well he took up coaching in my game :) I don't think they will keep him in the game for the reason you stated but that is my wish and this is the wishlist.

I would like the ability to set the target man supply options to "not X".

For instance, Rooney has Heading = 10, so I don't want the players to play it to his head as the chances are he'll lose out to a centre back. But I want his supply to vary so "Mixed" is the only option. I would like to have a "Mixed but not to head" option.

The EL spots aren't for definite until the Fa Cup final and the Leage Cup final has been played.

If either the winner of the runner up to the FA cup isn't top 4 in the league they qualify for EL. If the winner of the League Cup isn't in the top four they qualify for EL.

1st-4th definitely get CL, 5-6 definitely get EL, but 7-8th only get EL depending on the domestic cups.

I would like to see the ability to take the millions, I've earned from coaching and purchase a team. I'd see becoming an owner/coach which would remove having to beg the board to do things like upgrade the stadium, pitch, and training facilities. In this mode, you could still coach and do the things you normally do but without fear of firing or restrictions (besides $). Perhaps if you wanted, you could even hire a head coach and only be an Owner.

The FA and gameworld to be 'dynamic'.

Perhaps one season the TV money for your league might drop or raise unexpectedly. Perhaps the FA react to a poor world cup showing by increasing the number of English players required in your team/squad or perhaps they decide to set a wage cap.

Basically they exist and react to your game, making decisions and changing things. The football world is never static and I doubt that in 10 years time Sky will still be paying £x for TV rights.

I'd also like the ability to grab stats from the game and export them as XML - this would allow those so inclined to display them elsewhere if they wanted or just keep them outside of the game for their own use. Like lunchtime at work for example, when trying to workout who to play in which formation or position.

I'm Man city, and Wayne Rooney in Man Utd. is playing like legend, broke several records and not scoring under 35 in a season. In player interaction I can declare interest or admire. But I want to criticise or despise the player. I want to effect his confident saying 'He can't keep it up' 'He would be a reserve player in my squad'(Happened IRL), 'I'm not his biggest fan' etc.

I like the sound of that. It'd be like mind games.

Also, LOL at the little spat on the first page. :D

I would like new additions such as Managers being able to do what fergie did like pick up the player from the airport or u know pay for his flights and do the ronaldo presentation in the stadium for big players lol :) might sound crazy but this kind thing should make the player come to you just adds fun to the game .

I would also like the feature of inviting transfer targets to your matches + take them around the stadium or meet players before signing them - of course you should ask permission from the players clubs :)

For Players - Should go nightclub parties, Casino , u know bring a modern days life of a football to the game . papparazi should capture pictures of players in town during transfers like buying houses or learning the language to fuel romours . :) or even landing at the airport :) and also when alex caught the bus to go stamford bridge :p

1) Career stat leaders for clubs and leagues. Not just THE Leader but a Top10 or Top 50.

2) motivational shouts during a game. Kind of like pre, mid and postgame comments just shouted in game. tactical shouts are nice (though a tad bit unrealistic really, influence you have should be more limited) but how about giving your favourite lazy bum an earfull or tell a young kid to just settle down.

Players to develop preferred squad numbers (i.e. Player X has worn no. 15 for the last 9 years at Club A, so when Club B signs him he wants to wear no. 15 again). Also, maybe regens having a (sensible) preferred number.

I'd like to be able to ask the board to allow me a larger backroom staff.

I agree with the post above about Target Man Supply. At times you want the ball played to feet or for the striker to run onto (if he's small but pacy), or to the head or feet if the striker has no pace, so it would be nice to be able to specify 2 out of 3, or not a particular type etc.

I pay a lot of attention to U20s World Cup and similar tournaments and it's pretty disappointing when most of the teams are full of gray players. That makes easy for the nations that you're playing to dominate those tournaments.

Sometimes, you have really bad newgens from a nation full of gray players and they're called. Then you see awful players in teams like Italy.

My suggestion: generate players for the teams participating in this kind of competitions. This improves diversity, giving an international scene less the-countries-that-you-have-activated centric.

Coaching badges is a good idea-you should have option when starting a new game when editing manager profile of what badges you have at the start of a new game. so people who want to play as the 'big' clubs have the option to start will all the Uefa badges necessary to manage in the top divisions and european competitions. You can start with no badges if you want to progress through lower leagues.Older players could earn first badges in their final years as players(such as carragher)- it would certainly add to the realism.

I'd like to suggest a quick start or scenario editor. In the manual it always says how SI'd provide quick starts occasionally, but that has never happened as long as I've been around. With something like this in place, players could edit their own scenario saves, and finally get to participate in a World Cup tournament with the exact team and player roster as it's happening in the real world. And the number of challenges would be more hands-on for the player to create, from saves mimicing real-life football scenarios as well as fictional ones. An entire community could develop from this, keeping Football Manager more up to date than ever before. This time of the year again and it's Chelski and United battling it out for the league title? Why not sign up and participate with all real-world data put into place?

Also, a sim mode - so that you could load a quick save / scanario without actually entering as a player, and just watch the action unfold. Same for a competition that is put into the game - without actually having to start a game and an entire database. Ever wanted to know how this year's World Cup might pan out in Sports Interactive Wonderland? A La Liga season? Why, load up Football Manager, select the competition or scenario and enjoy the fireworks. As a secondary effect, you're likely to have a good means of promotion for the game's database here. ;)

The latter idea came about when I was reading a 2006ish article about how the outcome of the FIFA WC 2006 was predicted using both FIFA 06 and Football Manager 06. Since the officials were involved in this, I was wondering how Miles and the lads are able to set this all up. More power to the people, I say.

Having played some games now with FM10 i have to say the Transfersystem is still a bit off. Normally i turn off transferbudgets during the first window so in the summer only some loans and free transfers are made.

But then when the calender hits january you see ridiculous amounts being spent by the top clubs in Europe. Ok, that can happen.

However, there are too many good players being transfered during the winter and comparing that to real life, that never happens. In what world would Arsenal sell Cesc in the middle of the season for 50 million euros? Or Bayern that sells Ribery for 40 - 50 million. If im correct there has never been a january transfer that has ben over 20 million euros. So why do clubs like Real and Man City spend over 200 million in the winter?

My idea around this is simple. Let clubs be more macho so they just refuse bids on their top players, saying come back in the summer to the big teams. In my opinion clubs are too friendly to one another in the winter. They should be harder to negotiate with during the winter trying to keep their squads together. Now managers dont seem to care what happens to their players and sell em despite having a good season with their star players.

Another thing. After the 6 or was it 5 years of FM? non playing players still get transfered for ridiculous amounts. Giovanni Dos Santos always gets sold voor over 40 million euros, despite having played a handfull of matches for Tottenham. It seems to me the AI reads the PA and CA of a player, but dont look at reputation.

If a player doesnt play that often his reputation and therefore his market value should drop significantly instead of growing. Ive seen transfers of 50 million and more with players who didnt play more then 10 matches for a squad over 2 whole seasons. But the player had a PA of 190, so according to the editor its a world class player to be.

Maybe SI should rewrite the transfer system again, making Reputation the biggest factor instead of the CA and PA. A 19 year old Serbian player with a PA of 180+ who hasnt played one single senior or youth international match has no reputation what so ever and could never be sold for 20 million or more, thats just plain bs.

Therefore the PA should be left out of consideration with transfers.

I have a player recently recovered from injury. His condition is 87%. As suggested in in-game tips I want to bring him on as a substitute to rebuild fitness. In selection detals game says the players is 'Tired'. But that and 87% condition are not very descriptive. I'd rather have it say 'Fit for 10 mins', 'Fit for 30 mins' etc. in selection details instead of or near 'Tired'.

I would like to see streakers introduced to the game.

Commentary (in typical, not quite explained, FM fashion):

"Paul Walker places the ball"

"Paul Walker confidently begins his run up"

"She enters the field of play"

"She's not wearing any clothes!"

"It looks like the ball isn't the only thing bouncing today!!"

"He reaches into his pocket"

"And shows Paul Walker the yellow card"

I read about about someone who won 12 straight wins with team a who were predicted to be 9th. Is it because of the manager's reputation? If so I suggest another variable called short-term reputation (invisible or not) which won't affect world reputation but will allow you to win MOTM prize on occasions like that.

51 pages means this might have been suggested before so apologies if it has but two things, both to do with training.

First, I'd like an option to ask my assman how training went. ATM you can only get reports of who trained well and badly once a month. I'd like to be able to ask him for that day and get good feedback "A Player stayed late to practise his free kicks", "B Player has really improved at corner taking" etc. This also has the added benefit of your assman adding you to his favoured personnel because you're asking his opinion. While I'm on the subject, there could be other reports (that you have to ask for, not that just appear) from the assman who could keep you up to date on players "Young Player is really developing well. I'd suggest some substitute appearances to see what he can really do" etc.

Secondly, I'd like to be able to nominate myself to take part in training, be more "hands on" with the players and "see" for myself (with a long report for each player training maybe) which players are doing what I ask.
