Ah yea, the ridiculous penalty and Naymar not getting a red card.

Good game.

I fully expect Brazil to win the group with 9 points and close to +10 goal difference.

Yes. I believe it will be something like:

Brazil 2-0 Switzerland
Brazil 4-0 Costa Rica
Brazil 3-0 Serbia

Then Brazil will be overconfident and probably lose at some point in the playoffs.

Expecting Brazil to win but Switzerland will be tough nut to crack. Watched them against Spain, they were well organized in defense although not at all threatening going forward. It was just lucky De Gea's blunder that gave them equalizer. 1-0, Neymar to score some wonder goal.

Never really seen Alisson play on a consistent basis but must be really good if he is keeping Ederson out.

He is better than Ederson for sure but I don't trust either of them. Alisson used to be pretty insecure and Ederson is reckless.

The main reason Alisson is a starter though is because goalkeeping coach Taffarel likes him. And Alisson also has the advantage of having played for a few years for Internacional while Ederson is relatively unknown in Brazil.

Spain were not incisive enough which is often the case despite them getting 3 against Portugal. Brazil will be a lot more ruthless. I am predicting 3-0.

My guess is a 2-0 win for Brazil. Neymar and Gabriel Jesus will score the goals.

Have we had any predictable Joga Bonito compilations yet where British TV tries to convince us that every Brazilian player started out playing streetball in the favelas and they all play like a Ronaldinho YouTube video?

Neymar hat trick please. My fantasy team so far has been shocking.

Can I have one as well? I've got an excellent defence, but the rest of my team's letting me down.

Considering how the last match turned out, I'll be more conservative with my prediction for this one... 2-1 Brazil.

Honestly think this is the best Swiss team we ever had. Group stage out would be a shock. I think we can win a point today.

Has Seferović improved his finishing? Because whenever I watched him play he was tragic in that depertment.

Before today I would have considered there would have been more change of Switzerland beating Brazil than Mexico beating Germany  I Still think Brazil will win, but it won't be a walkover, and its not certain.

3-0 Brazil.

Unless Brazil going for 2nd place.

Brazil can't go for second place in the group or they will be crucified by the media and fans here.

I like Seferovic as he's a hard working player, but he's never been a good finisher and the last season where he has hardly played will not have helped him improve.

But....you've told me no one cares over there. :(

No one cares during 99% of the time, but people care during the World Cup.

Brazil's best route would be to play against Germany right after the group and exorcise those demons.

The risk is losing and getting even more traumatized. :D

But I think Brazil would be favorites this time.

7 of the players starting today (Allison, Casemiro, Coutinho, Neymar - Rodriguez, Xhaka, Seferovic) faced each other in the U17s World Cup in 2009. Switzerland won 1:0 on their way to the title back then. Wouldn't mind them repeating this today.

It's kind of impressive how 7 out of 22 players today played that game. Moving from U17 to U20 to senior is not so easy.

Though saying that the Swiss one is a bit dreary.

Yeah, when there's like 3 Swiss players actually playing for the NT.

Our anthem is so boring compared to others. Brazil's is a real foot tapper!

Why? I always thought it's the highlight of English NT performance at every big tournament. :D

If we win the World Cup, we should be allowed to change it to something better like Tubthumping by Chumbawamba

Apparently Miranda would just never make a no-nonsense clearance because Brazilian CB's don't do that

It seems they really have never watched Brazilian football. We even have a colloquial word for this kind of no-nonsense CB: zagueiro-zagueiro

Yeah, I'll take your commentators over mine who's saying Brazil didn't have a top keeper since Taffarel.

Yes, that's pretty silly, Brazil had good goalkeepers both before and after Taffarel. But it's a cliché that Brazil only have good attackers and (attacking) fullbacks.
