OLT, does this only work with regens that are newly generated? If I remember correctly, in FM13 it did work on every regen as soon as one installed the pack. But I checked on a few regens in my save and they don't wear a shirt? (I downloaded the correct pack and cleared the cache).

Nevermind, now it works. I have no idea why it didn't work before but anyway: Great work, as always

Thanks, everyone! Glad you're all enjoying the pack!

These are superb. Much prefer without shirts because then it's consistent with the real player cuts.

Actually - most Real Player Cuts do have a bit of shirt with them. Either way - I'll continue to offer the no-shirt version for the time being. I can't guarantee, however, that I will keep doing so if and when I figure out a way to color code the shirts in team colors.

Would be nice to know, though, how people feel about it. I do know most people download the shirt version, but if there are a lot of no-shirt downloads... I guess I'll continue to offer that as well.

- one of my youth intakes has an incredible mullet, I have to get a screenshot the next time I'm playing.

Britrock - you have to get a screenie, that is phenomenal!!

The mullett strikes back again :D

Take a look at this Chris Waddle wannabe ZdZtQHT.jpgODkwhoX.jpg

I also like these haircuts:

Nice looking youth's :)

See you also located the source image for the already (in)famous mullet. Had to add it, didn't I?

Also see Batistuta's hair - good, cause I couldn't locate it when I was checking the files. Now I see it's in rotation. Glad you like the Caniggia one... I wasn't sure about that one myself, and thought about replacing it in the next version. Terrible source, but I really wanted that style in there.

Just wanted to take the time and say a massive thanks to you OLT for this pack. I enjoy long term saves and especially developing newgen youth and this is amazing. I've got this pack each year since you released it and its incredible the amount of work you have put in.

I just stumbled across a newgen scout with a porn star moustache! Love it!

Can't wait to have a player with a mullet.

Can I request 3 weird hairstyles for your next version? It will be fun to add these into the game.

I think those are a little too extreme for what I'd be comfortable adding. Since hairs inevitably will appear more than once, making them too crazy will just become a nuisance after a while. I like the style of a couple of those, and might add something similar, but less extreme. Although, I must say, I'm trying to focus mostly on "normal" hairstyles - just to ensure that the more elaborate hairstyles stand out when you do encounter them... rather than go "yep - here's another crazy hair dude".

Thanks for the suggestions, though.

Has anyone got an pointers for OSX - I can't find the install folder!

They look great btw :D

Don't know, but if you're installing through steam, you should still find it in your steam folders. I don't know how the folders system works in OSX, since I've never used it.

thanks you can't understand how this makes the game much better for me :)

will it work for next youth intakes in my current save or it works only if I start a new game?

EDIT: it works perfectly and has already 'upgraded' my current regens, they have much more swagger now! seriously everyone should be using this!

thanks a lot, san marino challenge is more enjoyable now

Hey guys, i've never used this stuff before and am really excited about getting into my save. Before i extract it i wondered if you could give me some advice to what i am doing?

I've looked in my "Football Manager 2014" folder in "my documents" and can't see any folder about hair or anything. I've got editor data, filters, games, graphics, skins, tactics etc

Do i just extract it into "Football Manager 2014" and it creates a new folder entirely for hairs etc?

Cheers

Matt

You don't put it in the Football Manager 2014 folder in your documents. You need to put it in: C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Football Manager 2014/data/facegen/hair

(I'm making the assumption you're on a Windows PC)

It's all in the original post in really good detail, plus there's also a readme file with the download that explains it as well.

670:

Did you get it to work?

wkdsoul:

Honestly - I have no idea.

I believe someone made a file with full face cutouts that were replacing my hair images, and using the same config file - so obviously that one wouldn't work. But, I believe you're talking about the file on Susie for which you edit config files to add the cuts to your game. I've never tried using it to see if that would override the facegen image or not, so I guess you could just try it out.

As long as you don't overwrite any of my files, it would just be a matter of removing the other mod should you not be happy with the results.

Just wanted to thank you for this. Smiled for five minutes after having my enormous/borderline overweight GK from Cameroon turn up with a haircut that occupies half my screen. Spent the last half hour going through every player I've ever had in my squad; weirdly amusing, but also adds some much needed realism to this aspect of the game.

Thanks a lot!

I didn't make this tutorial myself. Only found out about it today - but the guy does a great job of explaining and showing the exact steps to take. If you follow this to the letter' date=' it should work for you:

Hope that helps.

I tried that mate, step by step. I'm not even new to adding these kind of things to FM since I have the megapack and logos and such. This sadly just doesn't work after spending 2 hours trying to get it to.

I've tried everything I can imagine, reinstalling FM14, verifying the integrity of the game files, deleting every trace of FM14 and starting again, new saves, old saves. I think I'm just going to have to accept the fact that this just wont work me, as sad as that makes me feel. :(

Well, I can't say why it's not working for you.

If everything's installed correctly, and cache's cleared and reloaded - the mod should simply work. Are you using any other mods that alter regens? Such as the face replacements? Have you installed through Steam or in your own directory? Also... you have placed the pack in the Install Directory of FM, rather than My Documents? (Just checking since you mentioned facepacks and logos) Not overwritten a single file?

I'd like to help you get this working, but I'm going to need more info to be able to figure out where you're going wrong.

Here is my entire process of my FM14 install;

I'm using an SSD which the game is installed on, the game is installed using Steam. The mod packs I have used are as follows; TCM14 logo megapack http://www.fmscout.com/a-tcm14-logos-megapack.html, DF11 Megapack http://www.fmscout.com/a-df11-facepacks-2014.html, Megapack kits for FM14 (However I cannot find the link for it).

I have a few things from the workshop such as the dark skin, two tactics, a scout mod.

The file I first used for FM14 was slightly modified (Some teams colours contrast and hurt my eyes) but I also tried it without a modified file and same results.

I have no other regens mods because there aren't any, yours is about the only one anybody can use and that's why I'm still very puzzled as to why it doesn't work since I know for a fact I've followed the very simple instructions properly.

So if it's installed on a SSD, do you put it in that FM folder or the one Steam makes on your main hard drive?

All I could suggest would be installing FM14 on your computer hardrive in the default Steam location and try from there.

I dont think its fair to the makers for you to come on here and say....this sadly just doesnt work....it does work as thousands of people use it, me included.

What you mean is YOU cant get it to work.

Sorry but it winds me up when people say things like that just because they cant sort something out.

I don't really think it's fair for you to have a go at me because something doesn't work when I've clearly been through the process everybody else has and they've got it working. It's frustrating as you can tell.

So if it's installed on a SSD, do you put it in that FM folder or the one Steam makes on your main hard drive?

All I could suggest would be installing FM14 on your computer hardrive in the default Steam location and try from there.

Why would this make a difference, it's still being put in the Steam/common/FM14/ect folder. If this was the case then wouldn't my other facepacks not work?

That sounds like I'm having a go at you but I'm just frustrated as it works for everybody but me lol.

Cheers mate, these make a massive improvement on the game, really top notch work!

I flicked through a couple of my saves though, and every bald player was one of those "false balds" with no shirt, they're rare enough for it to not matter though.
