Introduction

We are going into the next round! After I already introduced you to the world of the most bizarre countries in the world with my editor knowledge in FM21 and FM22 (unfortunately not completely), it is now time to do the same in FM23. 81.5 hours of "playing time" in my Football Manager 2023 editor already and that can only mean one thing: the AroundTheGlobe megapack is growing and growing. Whether I'm reading the league rules of the Armenian league with my non-existent knowledge of Armenian or looking up the game mode of the football league in South Sudan on 14 different pages, there is always something to do. However, all this work is by no means pointless, because with my files I contribute to the level of education of quite a few FM users, because no one can tell me that they have never read up on the starting country of their FM save as if it were a doctoral thesis. But enough about me, you are not here because of my words, but because of my files. - The earth is round, so is football. Have fun with it.

 

Introduction - Content

We have now arrived at FM23 and once again my goal is to make all countries of the six continents playable for you. A huge task, but one that can be mastered in any case thanks to my enjoyment of the editor. As in previous years, the files will be divided into three versions (see below). Also this year, there will be the well-known extra files, but this time already in version 1, version 2 (if these file(s) work) and also in version 3. Altogether, there will be more than 200 files again, which should bring the game enjoyment of the FM to the next level.

Now we come to the further drivel that so and so hardly anyone will read :P

Realism is written in capital letters for me, because without realism the fun of the game suffers extremely and the FM is supposed to be fun.
In order to guarantee realism, all files have been and will be created in the extended rules of the editor (well, the basic rules can't do anything either ;D) and mainly contain changes in the following areas:

• Squad registration rules (foreigner rules, age restrictions).
• Realistic league formats, for example Apertura/Clausura and whatever else the football associations have come up with.
• Realistic TV money*
• Realistic prize money**
• VAR (Video Assistant Referee) added
• New clubs - if the researchers have messed up again
• TV broadcasts added
• Added academy leagues in countries where it is necessary (mainly Africa and Asia)

My work is still closely linked to that of @Daveincid. Its Megapack is fully compatible with mine and its use is highly recommended for ideal play fun.

* Real values when sources are available. Calculated values according to the average expenditure of a nation (wages etc.) to ensure that clubs are represented as realistically as possible financially.
** Real values when sources are available. Calculated similarly to TV money to ensure balance.

Yes i know , but the official have the same brexit issue (using a no brexit editor file is the way to go , it seems). And the official only have one tier, not the u23 tier , if i'm correct.

@DaveTheEditor Is there something wrong with promoted clubs in the Bosnian file?

I investigated the file for a future save. I holidayed one season and took over a promoted club in the 2nd Division. But when I go to the Finances-screen and click on Projection, the game crashes. I tested it with several clubs. When I take over a non-promoted club (FK Sarajevo for example) the problem isn’t there. So it’s only with newly promoted clubs from the 3rd division.

Gibraltar needs to be udpated, i have same thing so i changed to official database.

You didn't had the issue with the official database - brexit ?

I'm using a no brexit editor data file in combination with Dave's file and this seems to do it !

@Daveincid also knows this bug. It doesn't have to do anything with my pack, it is an bug/error in FM.

The biggest difference is mainly that my files are matched with @Daveincid's and therefore the finances are correct and that the file is from me and not SI - The final table looks different for me, because SI always does the split of the league within a stage, but I find that ugly and always create new stages for it. Makes no difference on the whole. Also, the squad rules for the second division at SI are wrong, I dug up a document somewhere. ^^

I got info on Iceland, I will implement it after work and then update the file.

Small Hotfix: 1.01

• North Macedonia: The FM had problems to recognise the foreigner regulation in D2 and D3, now everything is correct. Also, the referee category has been removed.
• Gibraltar: The deposited Brexit rules have destroyed Gibraltar, these have now been correctly changed.

There is no Iceland file after all, because I noticed that more doesn't suit there, or I don't have the time at the moment to make it with this quality as I want it. It will come with V2.

2.) Once you add Austria, do you plan on having it go down to D5?

2.) Yes, down to D10.

It is normal that they get played by U18, because you cannot select U17 teams in the editor/FM.

Thanks for the link! I can adapt it for V3, but to be honest I don't know how the teams get selected. It makes sense that the champions of both leagues plays in it, but why the 10th place of Japan, but on the other side the runner-up of Thailand? Weird. Also the format for 2022 is weird. Japanese teams get 2 games and the Thai only one?

The Austria file will NOT available with V2. It will come out after V3, because my time resources are nearly exhausted.

I am very sorry. Google gave me the wrong abbreviation for the Philippine time zone. It is PHT and not PST. I hope no one planned the release for Pacific Standard Time.
