Icondacarver
No Kanu or Utaka Utaka i am disappointed about but i am glad Kanu is not starting. His last ten or so performances in the green and white have been cringeworthy.
drobbo12
Argentina 3-4-3 then?
Standard liege!
Utaka i am disappointed about but i am glad Kanu is not starting. His last ten or so performances in the green and white have been cringeworthy. Yeah I think Utaka could of been decent with his pace. Kanu should be no where near the squad tbh Probably only there because he is 'Kanu' I do love him though

bolton1987
I'm looking forward to the titanic battle between Lionel Messi and Bolton's 5th choice defender Danny Shittu
Icondacarver
After that Olympics, "Papilo" could have run for president tbh. He is such an icon with the squad and i hope he comes on and does something crucial in one of the games.
Rhino
I was just thinking a few minutes ago "you know what this World Cup needs? A good fight" and then I remembered that the Argentine - Nigeria game was about to kick off. This should be good.
Ruud van Nistelrooy
Are Nigeria actually any good? Most pundits etc. seem to think they are but of the players I know, none are anything special at all. Can't see beyond Argentina, its an adventurous line-up to say the least. JayArr
I'm looking forward to seeing Maradona do something completely crazy, like make a substitution in the first 20 minutes or try to punch someone.
Oypus
I'm looking forward to this game for some reason, so Nigeria had better show up ready to play. And I don't think Nigeria are half bad, despite not having many big names.

Icondacarver
Nigeria have never gone to any World Cup with a highly rated squad (98 we were seen as a decent side). It is the fact that in the past they had most of the players in lesser known leagues but playing regularly while this time quite a few play for known teams but are not regulars. With a good manager Nigeria is a great side but they have left too many talented players (guys who do not play for big clubs yet) out.
swisso
The dove of love will make an appearance today, 'mon the Yak! tcoleman1
Nigeria aren't as bad as some people making out. Especially if you go by qualifying. How Argentina don't come 2nd in qualifying with the players they have is ridiculous. Don't mind them but as I said earlier Maradona is a terrible manager although seems an alright guy hugging Kanu there
Juve4EVA
Really don't know what to expect from Argentina, but I think 2-0. Hope Di María can step up.

samba23
I posted this formation in the Argentina thread a few days ago. On paper it is a 3-4-3 but in reality it will look something like this. Jonas will play as a defensive winger/wing back but Di Maria will not be as defensive. Messi will be allowed to roam and do whatever he likes. Higuin will be the main striker and Tevez will probably play a little bit deeper.
tcoleman1
I would personally have had Javier Zanetti over Gutierrez and Cambiasso over Mascherano. Can't really believe both of them weren't in the squad.
Buggs_18
Not sure about Messi playing through the middle. I know he can play there well, but i think he could be devastating when 1v1 with a defender......or
SeanNUFC
ESPN saying 4-2-3-1 and BBC saying 4-3-3 for Argentina. BBC/ITV only know of two formations: 4-4-2 and 4-3-

tcoleman1
I have to say, that video made Argentina look like a side of bad losers There's not being able to accept defeat and then there's doing what they did. Would love the Super Eagles to do them over today.
