LCFC Posted November 4, 2009 Share Posted November 4, 2009 I've downloaded the ddt file and it appears under preferences ticked. Gone on holiday and taken over Cambridge City but all the first team players have the regen faces. Spurs1979 Posted November 4, 2009 Share Posted November 4, 2009 Check if they have released players before you got there LCFC, in my game checking the transfer history for Cambridge City they had some real players which they released in the 2nd season (1st season we take over the club) so it could be they were all released before you got there. I shouldn't worry too much though unless you really wanted a specific player that plays for them as most these starting squads are pretty poor & can be upgraded very easily with free transfers. Dont think i can catch Braintree and the horrendous January we had really did put paid to any serious challange to them, from the 26th December to 29th January P9 W1 D6 L2 Really put the brakes on the seasonand coincided with injuries to my playmaker Milenov and my DM Ivanov, have won the last five since their return so back on track but i fear to far back. Play Braintree away next so a good result could get us right back in there Heres hoping Playing Braintree: Decided on going attacking as need a win if there are any hopes of automatic promotion Get In 0 - 1 Adam Tong Header from a corner in the 6th Minute (maybe we can do this) HT: 0 - 1 Still ahead, but have been totally outplayed, think a slightly more defensive/counter attacking style is required Well here Goes nothing We are totally penned back in our own half, and i can feel an equaliser coming, the lads at the back have been outstanding so far, hope thay can keep it up We've hit the post Lightning break from a defensive corner and a 20 yard screamer from Ivanov cracks the post and avoids Keetings on the rebound - Really could have done with a 2nd 20 mins left to hold out 1 - 1 75 mins - Couldnt clear a free kick and it was rifled in from around the penalty spot, gutted, but i cant say they havent deserved it Am going to risk the loss and go for the win, back to attacking and if we lose another then at least we went for it, a draw us no favours at all 2 - 1 I dont believe this, 2 in a minute from Braintree. Got bored of it in 09 but managed top half Premier League in 08, I think I'll get bored this year I haven't really got into the tactics side this year. Spurs1979 Posted November 4, 2009 Share Posted November 4, 2009 In league one we still only have a capacity of 2000 and we have an average attendance of 1993 which is 3000 less then the next lowest team in the league, really doesn't help financially but we had a cup game at Stamford bridge last season that made the club around £500k which has basically kept the club afloat. We are still only able to sign free transfers though but have managed to sell a couple of players finally, was struggling during the summer but the Jan transfer window has led to clubs making better bids. On the pitch though things are going from strength to strength. I'm losing around 30k -40k a month with a avr of 381 attendance. I'm getting stuck with tactics I'm playing a simple 442 with roles to suit my players and have a decent squad I was 2nd and was close to going 1st but since December my tactic has not been doing so well I'm in Jan and have not won a game in 6 and I'm slowly droping out the play-off places:( It is just a bit weird of such a change in form. Burrator Posted November 4, 2009 Share Posted November 4, 2009 Progress so far, Billericay Town. 2010-11 was a hard year, struggled with tactics and form but survived the season finishing 17th: League Table League Positions 2011-2012 was better but not great, started to get the hang of tactics somewhat better but ultimately only managed mid-table. A good FA Cup run got me to the third round where I held Exeter to a home replay which really helped with funds although I got well beaten: League Table I forgot to take screenshots at the end of the season so this is the historical table. 2012-13 went fairly well, managed to maintain some consistency and stay in top half of the table. Somehow managed to get a playoff place and then had the experience of play-offs. Drew 1-1 at home first leg of semi, and pulled back from 1-0 down to win 2-1 away to get to the final against Thurrock. 91st minute header by one of my DCs sealed a flukey victory, had been held deep down and fully expected a loss but by luck more than judgement kept them out and the late winning goal had me shouting with glee (probably to the neighbours annoyance). On the pitch though things are going from strength to strength. My attendances for King's Lynn were around 1100 for the BSN, 1500 for BSP and are so far 3200 in League 2. Which is quite healthy. Our record is 5600 for the BSP playoff semi-final and we had 38,000 attend Wembley for the final. XaW Posted November 4, 2009 Share Posted November 4, 2009 Season 2010/11 - Cambrige City - New Year Update Well, I've gotten through the first half season and so far it's gone way beyond expectations. We are currently 8th after 20 games. Although we started far better and where to of the league at one point. The best players so far have been Charlie Sheringham, James Keatings and Valentin Milenov. We went out in the FA cup against Sutton Utd in the 3rd qualifying round. In the FA Trophy we went out against Welling from Blue Square Premier in the 1. round. While everything are going well on the pitch, off is another matter. Our finances are rapidly going south, much because we only average 359 attendants a game. I am a bit over my wage budget, but not much though. Hopefully we can finish the season as we have started it and maybe push for a play-off. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Posted November 4, 2009 Share Posted November 4, 2009 Season 11/12 - Merthyr - BSS Was a rather poor season yet again, we started off crap up until around February, then just had a decent run, where we lost about 5 games in 15/16. We could have made the playoffs IMO, but for a poor away record, where the last 5 games we lost, were all away iirc. Not going to go into detail, because again, there was nothing of note, bar a takeover from inside. I obviously would prefer to win the league, but my last game is at home to Mansfield. Game of Carshaltons career easily, deciding whether we go up automatically, or have to try our luck in the playoffs. My keeper is on painkilling injections to get through the game as well. As all of you are starting in the Conference North or South, I thought it would be worth posting this message up. To anyone experiencing strange movement between the Conference North/Conference South, could you please report it on this thread in the bugs forum. In other words, if you see a team based in the south of England who you feel should definitely be playing in the Conference North (I've seen two examples here of Hayes & Yeading and Billericay) or vice-versa (i.e. a northern team in the Conference South) then please post it up in the bugs forum. SI are looking into the ways that clubs are assigned to regional divisions and I would guess that the more evidence they have, the better it will be. Hopefully then SI will get to the bottom of it.
