Your soundtrack to FM

I was posting in another thread about sounds in FM and i said i hardly ever play with the sound on anyway so its not that important to me. However, Fabio MVP popped up and said he usually listens to Benny Bennassi whilst playing FM. That got me wondering aout those who do listen to music whilst playing FM. What do you usually listen to?

For me, when the wife is out and im allowed sounds, its usually some drum and bass, or techo, or trance, rave music, At the moment im quite liking Chase and Status when i get the chance.

Here I am. So, as I said it's Guetta's new album now. And considering your techno, nothing can't beat Darude's Sandstorm as far as I'm concerned!

Drum and Bass for me to, or a some some Liquid Funk. I usally just stream some radio from last.fm for what ever the mood takes me.

Avenged Sevenfold or Rammstein mostly during football manager 2009. 2010 will be more than a month from now so anything can change.

Darude - The memories that tune brings back. I used to play FM a LOT back in them days, and i still lived at my parents house so never had to worry about noise . Work, Drink, and FM.

Must admit, I do enjoy a late night FM session whilst waiting for the Shipping Forecast, and the gentle strains of Sailing By.

Generally, just my playlist, which contains all kinds of songs. However, I do like to use "Club Foot" by Kasabian when a match is being played

Usually whichever metal band is on my ipod during the week however if it's the weekend then ill either have Sky Sports on or for late night sessions ill put ESPN America on.

In the lead up to big games 'The Final Countdown', usually just a mix of 80s hair rock and dance music, or current alternative stuff, with a bit of Weezer chucked in there too.

You know what's so sad? If i open windows media player while playing FM my computer slows down even more lol i have two choices, either play FM or listen to music .. but i usually listen to rap & soul

usually nothing in particular for FM, just what is currently taking my fancy, atm ive gone all retro and playing stuff from Led Zeppelin, The Who, Black Sabbath Rolling Stones, Gun n Roses etc,

I find Kashmir really helps geeing me up for a big game tho if im a little pessimistic about it though

When im playing fm i just love the classical music. I currently play escala's album just love tht kind of music when im playing FM. Gets in into a dramatic mood, especially for those big matches.

That is my playlist all over. Arctic Monkeys are amazing and KoL's earlier stuff was the nuts. (Newest album is a sellout, shame). I normally chuck a bit of The Strokes in there too.

Mostly Arcade Fire, Genesis (the French band), The Clash, The Adicts, Rancid, etc.

I made a football playlist that includes traditional football songs (YNWA etc.), songs that remind me of football or I've seen used in football TV programmes/youtube videos and songs that have been featured in other football games (Jerk It Out by The Caesars, that featured in both FIFA2004 and LMA Manager 2005, is a personal favourite). I usually use this playlist when playing FM although sometimes I just put something random on or use WMP search functions to play my top rated tracks.

Although I do remember a rather poignant incident where I was getting hammered 4-0 by Werder Bremen and "Bulletproof (I wish I was)" by Radiohead started playing...

I have a few playlists organised on WMP. I just pick one at random when the notion takes me - loads of songs from various artists going back to the 60s. From The Beatles to Evanescence and Van Morrison to Iron Maiden

I think this topic goes to show just how diverse we FM-lovers are. I'm very much an alternative rock person, so it can vary wildly. I'm tempted to start following the YNWA/Forever Blowing Bubbles example though, just to add to the atmosphere of a game!

Since I play FM in a windowed mode, I usually do other things at the same time. So it's either listening to some random music from my music library or watching tv shows or movies at the same time as playing.

I usually have radio 1 in my headphones while im playing, mainly Zane Lowe :-)

Its gotta be the lengendary Smiths, Sonic Youth Lou Reed / Velvet Underground I mean who could beat winning the league to a great song like shiny boots of leather!

At the moment, its either the kings of grunge Pearl Jam and the quite stunning Eagles of Death Metal.

Whatever I fancy from Spotify, such an amazing application

well as im a die hard newcastle supporter and im on my newcastle career.

before every home game i play the local hero theme tune, then i press play just to get me and my players in the mood lol. After the game i play the theme tune Big River by jimmy nail, as i imagine the fans walking out of the stadium to a thrilling newcastle win lol

hopefully champions league football next season so contemplating whacking the continental theme tune on too just before european games lol.

Seether and Erik Mongrain (excellent guitarist not a soloist though). A lot of other too, too many to mention.

P.S. if you're a guitarist and can't sing chicks dig it if you play Mongrain's songs. Melodic and they look like they're hard to play especially the ones here you sit your guitar on your lap facing up.

Im impressed with the diversity of tunes FM players listen to whilst playing.
