Here we are, the Education City Stadium, which has yet to see a goal at this World Cup.

Poland

Looked pretty dire in the first match. But, this is a wide open group and even a loss today wouldn't mean the end for them.

Saudi Arabia

Can they follow up their amazing result in the first match? A win seems them into the last 16 for the first time since 1994.

Amazing that Saudi Arabia could be the first team to book a R16 place here, nobody would have predicted that.  Need to pick up where they left off though and not sit back.  Get the job done so they aren't looking for a result against Mexico in their last game.  Poland flatter to deceive every time.  Looked awful the other day.  No reason why the Saudis can't take the game to them and beat them.

Also worth noting that the presenter (Seema Jaswal) and both pundits (Karen Carney and Eni Aluko) are all women. Think that's the first time that's happened on BBC/ITV at a men's World Cup.

That means there are no white men covering this match for ITV. Imagine a few folks on social media will be quite... vocal about that. :D

Also, ITV showed Al-Owairan's goal from 1994 again. I noticed that the commentator twice identified him as Majed Abdullah (who wore the #9 at that tournament; Al-Owairan was the #10). Imagine the stick they would get if that happened now!

Anyway... onto today's match. Saudi Arabia were fantastic the other day, but I think they get a big reality check here. Poland will sharpen up and get a win on the board - maybe Lewandowski finally scores his first World Cup goal.
