you will need at least 10 to 15 games for the tactics to bed in and for the players to get to knw the tactics otherwise if you keep changing tactic ever couple of games this will not work , Be bit more patient !!

I know but when you plug in a tactic, give it at least 5 games every time, play your best team with Laca, Auba, Ozil and Pepe upfront and get a lucky draw at home after a goal via throw in or a free kick at the 88th minute against teams like Shieffield, Norwich or Newcastle... still convinced there is something wrong

RDF has used Tequila  recently and working OK. May be worth trying the mentality guide.

One aspect that may freshen up tactic is to use a different tactic for cup games.

I'm playing a network game in pl with 2 other friends. Me as manager of Arsenal. I'm in 2023 and the original arsenal squad is pretty much changed. I believe have a pretty strong squad but have troubles finding a rock solid tactic. Did try alot of tactics and i keep trying and switching. Compared to past seasons its going little better tbh.. but i need to become champion with this squad i feel. Can you look in to my savegame?

Both. Especially bigger teams.  man utd, liverpool, wolves. other players are manager of chelsea and spurs.

The game is so frustrating. The variation between playing Home or Away is absolutely ridiculous. It completely ruins the game. Playing away is of course a minor disadvantage, but not to the lengths expressed in game. I've tried everything with regards to mentality - it's just shocking some of the results. Rant over.

If 4231 is a problem try Tequila cousin.

Knap I've been using your tactics with Newcastle (3rd season atm) and been doing pretty great so thanks for all the work you put into it.

My question is following, if you have a player better suited for different role (for example attacking midfielder instead of shadow striker in TeoForOne), should I change the role in tactics screen to souit him better, or should I leave roles as they are and use the player in its lesser role?

sorry didnt make it clear. it depends on the opponent, i like to spend at least a minute on doing my own scouting on opposition. if they have fast and good dribblers on the wings then yes, i remove the PIs too. but if i feel my full backs and wingers are strong enough to deal with opponents wide players then i leave the PIs

I would use Kashmir and Oxford tactics as a more defensive option

I would also try a different tactic for Cup games, just to mix it up.
