A bit harsh being docked 12 points considering i replied to your PM straight away but rules are rules i guess - just checking the thread to see where this is stated ;)

Despite that this is well thought out and constructed KUTGW!

Unlucky. But thanks for voting for my team, even if it did cost you 12 points

It is stated here fwiw. I think any anger you might have should be saved for the end, when you will know whether or not the deduction will have an effect on your qualification.

If you do not vote, or if you vote incorrectly, your nation will receive a 12 point deduction.

~

Nice. But can I ask, what's with the left right alignment?

I thought I'd try something quirky and zany :D. To be honest it hasn't worked out quite as I expected, as when I was thinking about it I pictured the page being much narrower than it actually is (it is particularly wide on my screen), but it looks like it has still gone down a treat.

Lester Meek: South Africa calling Kenya!

Krishnan Guru Murthy: Hello Lester!

Lester Meek: Well good evening, Krishnan Guru Murthy! How are you feeling about Kenya’s current position of 5th?

Krishnan Guru Murthy: Pretty good, but there is still plenty of work to do before the evening is out. Here are Kenya’s votes:

7: Malawi

6: Burundi

5: Madagacasar

4: Tanzania

3: Rwanda

2: Djibouti

1: Mauritius

Krishnan Guru Murthy: And Kenya’s three biggest votes:

8 points go to…Uganda!

10 points go to……Zambia!

12 points go to…

…Ethiopia!

Krishnan Guru Murthy: I hope that is all in order, Lester. See you in the Final!

Lester Meek: Thank you very much Kenya! Steve Axworth will be pleased about making it into positive numbers, although he will now regret having boycotted the tournament. Zambia get their campaign going with 10 points.

Mauritius.png?t=1270219253

Lester Meek: Hello, Mauritius! Can you hear us on your island paradise?

Sir Anerood Jugnauth: We are hearing you loud and clear Mr Meek.

Lester Meek: Wow! Former Prime Minister and Incumbent President of Mauritius the Right Honourable Sir Anerood Jugnauth! I would say that you have more letters after your name than in it but you do have a lot in it.

Sir Anerood Jugnauth: I’ll take that as a compliment. Here are the votes from Mauritius:

7: Kenya

6: Zambia

5: Rwanda

4: Tanzania

3: Ethiopia

2: Malawi

1: Djibouti

Sir Anerood Jugnauth: And here are Mauritius’ major votes:

Sir Anerood Jugnauth: Those are Mauritius’ votes. I hope you will come and visit us soon.

Lester Meek: I’ll see what I can do. Mauritius’s 12 points go to their island mates Super Lampard’s Seychelles. With four nations having voted, let’s see how the tables are holding up:

SF1-4.png?t=1270219312

Lester Meek: dafuge’s Mozambique lead the way, with Madagascar and Rwanda a little further back. Ethiopia are already starting to make their ascent up the rankings. Please note that these tables are just sorted by points and then alphabetically, although if two nations are tied at the end the tiebreaking criteria comes into play. Next we are staying in the islands, with votes from Madagascar and the Seychelles!

Semi-Final 2: North and Western Africa

Okay, it is time to start the voting for our second semi-final. Just like the first Semi-Final, the first person to vote will have their votes revealed last. If you are one of the 17 nations in this Semi-Final, or if you are Edinho (that’s Senegal, who will also be voting), you need to take a look at the screenshots and the other information I’ve provided, as well as looking back at the updates if you wish, and PM me your votes as per the voting form at the bottom. If you want a specific spokesperson, please include that. The deadline will be one week after this post. Again, the top five qualify for the Final.

All 18 of you, including Edinho, can now vote, by PM please. If you do not vote, or you vote incorrectly, your nation will receive a 12-point deduction. Do not fall into the trap of voting for Senegal, for instance, as that will be costly for you. As a reminder, the deadline is the time of this post on Friday 9th April. Only the 17 of you above and Edinho need to vote. I will send my votes to dafuge (who is Mozambique manager) to verify that I have voted, fairly and correctly.

Rwanda.png?t=1270290522

Lester Meek: Hello, Rwanda, can you hear us?

Rwanda: Receiving you loud and clear, South Africa.

Lester Meek: I take it you have some votes for us?

Rwanda: We absolutely do. Here are Rwanda’s votes:

7: Djibouti

6: Eritrea

5: Malawi

4: Madagascar

3: Kenya

2: Ethiopia

1: Seychelles

Rwanda: And Rwanda’s three big votes:

8 points go to…Burundi!

10 points go to……Tanzania!

12 points go to…

…Uganda!

Rwanda: Those are Rwanda’s votes! Stay safe!

Lester Meek: Thank you Rwanda. A nice bonus for Jose Rodriguez’s Uganda, and Tanzania are getting rather mobile now too.

Malawi.png?t=1270290523

Lester Meek: Malawi, can you hear us?

Malawi: Yes, sir, South Africa!

Lester Meek: Excellent! How are you feeling about Malawi’s 7th-placed position as of the last table?

Malawi: Not too great, Malawi should be doing better! Come on Malawi!

Lester Meek: No points for Malawi in your votes, obviously, but can you give us them anyway?

Malawi:

7: Rwanda

6: Burundi

5: Kenya

4: Uganda

3: Madagascar

2: Mauritius

1: Ethiopia

Malawi: And Malawi’s final three votes;

8 points go to…Mozambique!

10 points go to……Tanzania!

12 points go to…

…Zambia!

Malawi: Thank you South Africa!

Lester Meek: Thank you Malawi, sleep tight! Thelonius Davis’s Tanzania will be very happy with those 10 points, and Christina Modoglou’s get the maximum score, although Mozambique’s 10 points means that Zambia are 10 points behind the leaders. Let’s take a look at the entire table.

SF1-8.png?t=1270290526

Lester Meek: Mozambique lead the way with Matt Ferguson’s Somalia trailing. Tanzania are close to recovering from their 12 point deduction, sitting comfortably in 4th with a good record of favour from their opponents. Djibouti and Uganda vote next.

Djibouti.png?t=1270371761

Lester Meek: Hello Djibouti!

Djibouti: Hello Mr Meek.

Djibouti: That’s correct. Here are the votes from Djibouti:

7: Madagascar

3: Swaziland

2: Rwanda

1: Mauritius

Djibouti: And here are Djibouti’s major votes:

8 points go to…Ethiopia!

Djibouti: Thank you South Africa.

Lester Meek: Thank you, Djibouti. Some high points values to some underrated nations there, making Quandiose Yancy in particular very pleased.

Uganda.png?t=1270371744

Lester Meek: Uganda, this is South Africa calling!

John Akii-Bua: Hello South Africa!

Lester Meek: How are things in Uganda?

John Akii-Bua: Everybody is really excited about Afrovision and is hoping that Uganda can make it all the way!

Lester Meek: You stand a good chance as things stand, Uganda. Now, your votes please.

12 points go to…

…Kenya!

John Akii-Bua: Thank you South Africa! See you soon!

Lester Meek: Thank you John. Plenty of reason for Alfred Jarry to smile with his team getting full points. Tanzania are also showing their dominance now while dafuge’s Mozambique are still going strong. Let’s see how the table stands.

SF1-10.png?t=1270371786

Lester Meek: Every nation has points in double figures now. Mozambique lead the way but Tanzania would have just as many points if not for their deduction. Somalia and Comoros have a chance to influence proceedings next as it is them to whom we are about to go.
