ryan045
Okay so I'm into year 2027 and have finally got myself a new stadium secured, look what they have named it I built my profile around him so they named it the Klopp Stadium. It will make us have the highest capacity stadium in the league. It comes with a roof and under soil heating. These are a few options the stadium could of been called. Would of been just as happy with a Gerrard stadium or a Daglish one.

Guerrier_
Season 2019/20 Review (4th Season) So I'm actually about to start my 6th season, but I realised I haven't updated in a while! My 4th season was somewhat a special one, winning everything apart from a 3rd consecutive Champions League. This is arguably my best ever season on all my FM saves throughout the years, and I was gutted to lose to Juve stopping the clean sweep of Silverware. Community Shield - Winners 3-1 vs Man Utd, Origi (25, 79) Berahino (49), Martial (27) UEFA Super Cup - Winners 2-0 vs AC Milan, Sharpe double, Sharpe (7, 29) EFL Cup - Winners 2-0 vs Spurs, Coutinho (49) Can (73) Club World Cup - Winners 2-1 vs Sao Paulo FC, Lemar (40) Origi (45), Cristian Pavon (26) FA Cup - Winners 3-0 vs Chelsea, Dier (8) Origi (29) Can (90+2) Premier League - Winners, a 100 point haul and only 18 goals conceded! Oh and Everton got relegated UEFA Champions League - Semi-finalists, lost 2-1 on agg. to Juve the eventual winners (they beat Spurs 4-2 in the final). The first leg was at Anfield and it finished 0-0, and in the 2nd leg in Turin Sergi Darder (35) put Juve 1-0 at HT. In the 2nd half Origi (58) then leveled the score, and as things stood we were through on away goals! However Franco Vazquez (83) broke our hearts late on . Alongside my LFC career I took up the reigns of French manager after the 2018 World Cup. Having won the inaugural European International League in 2019, it was time for the 2020 UEFA Euro's in Italy! France management review: UEFA Euro's 2020 - Winners 7-3 vs Portugal!!!! (Yes, Seven - Three ) The final was an absolutely mental game, but Benzema stole the show with 4 goals to make us Champions!!!!

Staf9
with the season about the start whats everyone's opinion on how the squad looks for FM 18 who do you think will get a boost in PA and who will be downgraded? personally i think if we Sign VVD before the end of the window we will probably have the best squad we've had for a long time on FM. still some work to do on the back line tho can see Woodburn staying as he is on PA with TAA getting a big boost and hopefully grujic/gomez keeping a high rating. be interested to see if any of the fringe youth like Ojo, Kent. Wilson, brewster get a boost at all. can see Origi being downgraded

GR3NDAL
SEASON 5 review Once again it was us versus Man Utd for the silverware. We piped them by a single point to win the league but they got their revenge in FA cup and Champions league finals The Champions League final ended with a ridiculously terrible penalty shootout. I miss a lot of penalties anyway but in shootouts its even worse I have been playing Dybala behind a front two of Woodburn and Buitink. Buitink won the golden boot in the League. smp20
Hi all - decided to start a save with Liverpool. I'm taking my Dad, a lifelong Liverpool fan, to Anfield this Sunday for the Arsenal game so my interest in Liverpool is at its peak and I don't usually manage big sides so I thought I'd do something different for a change. I've decided to take on the persona of John Arne Riise . I've started the first season with budgets off and all I did in the first window was add a couple of staff members, no one sacked. In January we did quite a lot of business. Out went Matip to Barca for £60m, Emre Can to Real Madrid for £72m, Sturridge to Arsenal for £35m and Mignolet to Milan for £10m. In came scouser Cresswell (£15m)Donnarumma (£33m), Van Dijk (£33m), Phil Jones (£20m; my original target Michael Keane chose Man City) and then a deadline day flurry of Martin Odegaard and Iver Fossum for around £30m combined to bring some of Riise's natives in, as well as the re-signing of Sterling (£40m) and Rossiter (£5m, loaned back to Rangers). I'm now into February and we are currently sitting in 4th place. I started with a typical 4-1-2-3 Wide but I have now progressed to a 2-3-2-3 strikerless. At home we are unbeaten (think all wins) but away from home we've lost 7 PL games. My current first 11, when all fit, would look like this: SK (D) - Donnarumma CD (D) - Van Dijk CD (D) - Jones / Lovren CWB (A) - Clyne HB (D) - Henderson CWB (A) - Moreno / Cresswell BBM (S) - Lallana BBM (S) - Wijnaldum / Milner SS (A) - Firmino / Origi AP (S) - Coutinho SS (A) - Sterling / Mane The likes of Gomez, Alexander-Arnold, Ojo, Ejaria and Woodburn have been in and around the first team; while Fossum and Odegaard will be rotated into the first team now they've arrived. I've had a few injury problems - the Brazilian duo of Firmino and Coutinho have missed a lot - and it's not been easy. Enjoying the grind of managing Liverpool so far and I hope I can be competing for titles sooner rather than later. My main focus will be revamping the club in line with a talent factory philosophy: 18 man first team squad - highly professional, hard working, determined and technically gifted for a possession style 16 man 'Talent' squad - the best crop of 18-22 year olds who will be vying for a first team slot and play together in the U23s - exceptional 16/17 year olds will be considered for the squad. 16 man Youth squad - a balanced U18s side to compete in the youth leagues and cover the U23s when players are moved up. We will not loan out players, instead we will focus on our core of 50 players. Any local players with a chance of becoming a first team player will be given priority. smp20
Ok, I really have a problem away from home. I've tried tweaking to 3 at the back but I think I need a new approach altogether. SMP, what mentality have you set for your away games, and is your issue not scoring or just conceding too many goals away from home? Perhaps your mentality is too attack minded for the away games, in my save I typically play a 3-4-3 Control at home, but switch to counter or even defend when away. smp20
I've brought the wing backs back into the defence strata, switch the half back to a DM (D) and one of the centre mids is now a deep lying playmaker so we should have a more solid defensive spine now with cover in front of it. smp20
So I finished the season exactly where we were predicted in 5th place. Very disappointing to miss out on Champions League and also to lose to weaker opposition in the cups. After a blip in March we finished well and we nearly caught Man City, but unfortunately we just missed out. I've won the PL with 78 points before, it's a good tally that should usually secure you a top 4 finish. We need to be better on our travels - our home record was 17-1-1! Moreno had a great season and was named fans player of the year, closely followed by Coutinho. A surprise performer was Wijnaldum, who claimed 3rd place in the supporters awards. Out of the new signings only two made it into the best 11 - Donnarumma and Van Dijk - who have both heavily strengthened our back line. Raheem Sterling has spent more time with the physio than on the pitch which is frustrating. Our strong finish to the season was thanks to a Paisley Pass & Move inspired 4-4-2/4-4-1-1. I hope this will fare well going forward.

I tend to use the '4231' for home matches and games I think I will really dominate in, '4231 deep' is what I use for most away matches or games I feel like I need to be more solid in, and the '4312 AM' formation is a new one I'm currently testing, as I have a gem of a regen called Tim Sharpe up front, and I wanted to get Origi and Sharpe in together, as Origi is an absolute diamond up front!! Origi after 4 seasons with me.. 158 appearances and 22 sub appearances, 35 assists and 124 goals!! Watch out Robbie Fowler! I show full backs onto weaker foot and depending on what role the striker is I'll mark tightly, mainly for AF, CF, TM. Wingers I like to take on an individual basis, weaker foot for wingers, or if they have two strong feet I'll show the winger role inside and show inside forwards out wide if that makes sense. and any AP or DLPs in midfield I'll tackle hard, as well as BBM's. eastley
I really hope the new signings are in FM18 are don e correctly. Like OX plays CM, but in FM17 he is not even close to natural at it, Salah can play AML as good as right in real life, but not in game etc.. I downloaded an up to date database and I cannot really work with it. I have Mane, Salah and Ox only really capable of playing in the AMR position. I'm waiting for the latest update by Pro0 and I will restart my Liverpool save. There is too much competition (variations and options) for Ox in the center of midfield anyway. I see him more as a rotational player for Mane or Salah. 4-3-3 Wide: GK - Mignolet/Karius DR - Clyne/Arnold DL - Moreno/Robertson DCR - Matip/Gomez DCL - Lovren/Klavan MCR - Lallana/Winajldum MC - Hendo/Emre Can MCL - Coutinho/Milner AMR - Salah/Sturridge AML - Mane/Ox ST - Firmino/Solanke For 4-2-3-1 tactic: MCR - Hendo/Winajldum MCL - Emre Can /Milner AMC - Coutinho/Lallana I'm wondering if in terms of CA, Mane should be rated higher than Coutinho, since he is Liverpool's best player. Liverpool have a title-winning team, if the defense can be consistent and the team can get tough wins against lower table opposition. Btw, you are probably disappointed that your favorite boy Origi is loaned out.
