roversawh7
After 200 years of holidaying season by season to track down obscure nationalities in English regens, I am finally ready to post up the game for people to play. varun↕§☺☻♫
Everton in League 1?? Doesn't seem right. Might have to fix that. How come all the EPL teams have stadium capacities over 60,000?
radicell
At least Arsenal's still top-flight. How the hell did Prescot Cables ever get promoted?
crewe_york
How come West Ham have got the biggest stadium in England but they're not in one of the leagues?. lol
roversawh7
All the teams have pretty large stadiums because most of them tasted top-flight success at one point or another and the money was there for them. West Ham and Sheffield United had a pretty intense rivalry pretty early on in the game and West Ham built themselves a new stadium. Now they rarely fill it... Here are the rest of the tables:
fmfan08
How come West Ham have got the biggest stadium in England but they're not in one of the leagues?. lol that could have been saying 3-4 years back saying why does the city of cardiff have a bigger stadium than the city of london or wales than england. kccircle
There are quite a few ground name changes too - I'll name a few Wrexham now play in the originally names Wrexham stadium - capacity 38k Exeter now play in the Watson Stadium - capacity 40k - probably named after ex player Mark Watson names player of season three times running in 2060's West Ham now play in the West Ham Stadium - capacity 100k Bristol City now play in the Bristol City Stadium - capacity 39k Actually thought at 1st glance there were plenty more but it is mainly the lower league clubs who have done well who have nw grounds next - all time best XI's

roversawh7
Thanks for the in-depth analysis of my game! Sometime soon I will be posting some findings on regen nationalities, which was one of the reasons I started this holiday game.

roversawh7
Here is a test of what I was measuring during the holiday game. I am not going to post all 160 years that I tracked these things. Each year I would see the 170+ PA regens generated in England and write down their generated information: England Chelsea DC 85 181 England Coventry FC 78 178 Wales Cardiff DC 72 171 I would also count up the different regen nationalities and tally the percentages: 6 Australia England 0.48% 1 Denmark 0.08% 983 England 78.14% 5 England Australia 0.40% 4 England Hong Kong 0.32% 21 England Ireland 1.67% 1 England Ireland Hong Kong 0.08% 3 England Jamaica 0.24% 9 England N. Ireland 0.72% 5 England Nigeria 0.40% 34 England Scotland 2.70% 2 England South Africa 0.16% 3 England USA 0.24% 19 England Wales 1.51% 1 Finland 0.08% 1 France 0.08% 3 Iceland 0.24% 7 Ireland 0.56% 24 Ireland England 1.91% 3 N. Ireland 0.24% 18 N. Ireland England 1.43% 4 Nigeria England 0.32% 1 Norway 0.08% 1 Poland 0.08% 3 Republic of Congo England 0.24% 10 Scotland 0.79% 30 Scotland England 2.38% 1 Spain 0.08% 1 Sweden 0.08% 39 Wales 3.10% 15 Wales England 1.19% 1258 I will post more generalized results soon. roversawh7
Here is some of the first information on regen nationalities in England: The primary nationalities are English (of course) and Wales (for the Welsh clubs like Swansea, Cardiff, and Wrexham). Between 75-80% of regens in England each year have England as their only nationality. There are usually around 40 total Welsh regens out of 950-1050. The next most common set of nationalities is as follows: England Scotland Scotland England England N. Ireland N. Ireland England Wales England England Wales Ireland England England Ireland Scotland Ireland N. Ireland The dual nationality ones are more common than the single nationalities. These can range from a few per year to 50. The final common group is generally very small, ranging from none at all in some years to 5-10 in other years. I would like to emphasize that these are normal nationalities for English teams and you do not need to have scouting knowledge in these areas to get this type of regen. Australia England England Australia Denmark England Ghana Ghana England England Hong Kong England Jamaica Jamaica England Iceland Finland Norway Sweden England Nigeria Nigeria England England South Africa England Turkey England USA Republic of Congo England England Republic of Congo England Scotland England Italy Next time I will add the more obscure ones and ones that I have seen come through as the result of scouting knowledge. roversawh7
Here is the list of obscure second nationalities that popped up in my 200 years. Most of these only appeared in one of those 200 years and there were plenty of seasons with no obscure nationalities. Most of these were in combination with English nationality, but some also were with other British nationality and there were some instances of triple nationality. There was one regen with English/Irish/Nigerian/Australian nationality. These should all be possible regens without any need for scouting knowledge as I found no reason for there to be a connection for these nationalities. Some time in the future I will also post nationalities that appear to be knowledge related. Tunisia Ivory Coast Morocco Lebanon Maldives Afghanistan Senegal New Zealand Malawi Rwanda Swaziland Kuwait Tajikstan Togo Niger Burkina Faso Cameroon Malaysia Vietnam Ethiopia Djibouti Bahrain Nepal Myanmar Bangladesh Mozambique China Egypt Lesotho Botswana Iraq Phillipines Brunei Cambodia Qatar India Kazakhstan Kyrgyzstan Saudi Arabia Angola Congo Algeria Iran Burundi UAE Sri Lanka Namibia Yemen Indonesia Chad Liberia Benin Zimbabwe Tanzania Taiwan Guinea-Bissau Singapore Central African Republic Mauritius Gambia Pakistan
