Makoto Nakamura
African't you see what I did there? - An African Adventure Following my European Journeyman this will follow the same premise, just in Africa instead. I'm using @claassen's excellent megapack along with the added international competitions and I've also added in the 3rd tier of South Africa as well. More countries but a lot less leagues. I'll be starting unemployed with no experience or badges, my name will still be Makoto Nakamura but this time he's from Djibouti. I also don't think I'll try to get coaching badges asap as it exaggerates your reputation and helps you get high level jobs really easily. Lets do this. Makoto Nakamura
Welcome to Mayotte! We're predicted to finish bottom of the league and we're just a point outside the drop zone currently, fun times ahead. It seems we only have one good player here. Unbelievable. At least we have this going for us. Like @Benjoe I also won't be using the player or staff search functions so that should spice things up a bit as well! This is the capital city of Mayotte, Mamoudzou, and that is probably the football pitch that we play on in the middle of the picture.

Makoto Nakamura
Just now, Benjoe said: Mayotte should be a good start to this adventure! I'll be adding the French leagues as of next season (I should be here for more than a season even though my contract expires in 6 months time and should I not get us relegated) because the winners of the Mayotte French Cup qualify for the actual French Cup for the following season. Just now, ssestig said: Looking forward to the adventure ahead. Where abouts is Mayotte within Africa? There ya go, Mayotte is a tiny, tiny place. Just now, Pompeyboyz said: Nice change of pace from Europe. Hope you get 40 years or of this one Same here, hopefully processing will be faster with less players/ leagues. That and letting the Chairman and HoYD make signings. (And agent offers when I'm at a club reputable enough to have agents want their clients to play for us.) Makoto Nakamura
July 2016 Fun fact: The Mayotte Premier League is the lowest ranked playable league based on competition reputation. 4 points from our first 3 games and we're still hanging on a point outside the drop zone and at the moment it looks like any one of five teams can take the final relegation spot if things stay this close. Look at all the lovely prize money we could win! Also 3 players have come in, all should be in the first team. For the formation I'm using the strikerless one I used in the latter years of Leatherhead.

Makoto Nakamura
August 2016 Late goals really saved our bacon here, somehow we've definitely avoided relegation despite only being 2 points ahead of VCO Valhibe and losing at home to them with 1 league game still to play. 4 more joined us before the transfer window came to a close. Makoto Nakamura
Pre-Season 2017 Only the under 19's would play us, decent form and at least we're match fit. Mid-table and no cup expectations, nice. Predicted 6th, FC Mtsapere should win it again easily enough.
Makoto Nakamura
March 2017 So close to the perfect start, 4 great wins and then we get our balls handed to us by a team that was in the relegation zone before we played them...I don't even know. Makoto Nakamura
April 2017 It started off so brightly and it finishes with us losing the top spot as the league closes up with 4 points separating 1st and 7th!

Makoto Nakamura
May 2017 2 points clear as we pass the halfway point with FC Mtsapere being right on our tail, thankfully a bit of a gap is opening up to the rest of the clubs now.

Makoto Nakamura
July 2017 One game in June as we get knocked out of the League Cup early, but an unbeaten month in the league and we're in 1st on goals difference with just 4 league games to go! Makoto Nakamura
August 2017 We couldn't hold on to the lead and we've paid the price by being 4 points behind going in to the final game. We play 10th placed AS Jumeaux away from home and FC Mtsapere are at home to 4th placed ASC Abeilles. We also lost 6 players in the transfer window and brought in no-one. Makoto Nakamura
I asked the board to increase the junior coaching, which they agreed to so now we have had a youth intake! How have we got a Laotian? They're all terrible.
Makoto Nakamura
End of Season 2017 No silverware this year but hopefully next season we can make that final step. Makoto Nakamura
Pre-Season 2018 I'm not optimistic. We're predicted to do worse than last year, and I think we will do worse as well. 1 in, 0 out but we do have a WB joining us in June.
Makoto Nakamura
March 2018 ..But then again, what do I know? We're not struggling and we still have no assistant manager. It also looks like dynamic league rep isn't working.
Makoto Nakamura
April 2018 3 wins from for has given us the tiniest bit of leeway as we sit 4 points clear of FC Mtsapere and have a far superior goal difference to them. Our players are also all of the top 3 for average rating!
