Congratulations to Koetzer, DB08, Orikoru, SounessTash and tastaiwan who all correctly guessed Spain.

Koetzer and SounessTash remain joint first, however apchivers has now dropped to 3rd place after being 1st for most of the save. DB08 climbs the table a bit with a first recorded win, with Orikoru also rising slightly. tastawan's first bet is successful and enough to be in a comfortable position at the higher end of the table.

I sold one guy to Lens for £2.2M as he wasn't really needed and the money was quite good for how valuable to the team he was.

We spent a fair bit this summer to strengthen the squad. The highlight was signing Tinguinha who is the same Tinguinha who was part of my hugely successful Juventus side. He's 34 now and past his prime and isn't so great physically, but he's still technically great and has good mental stats. He'll be a fine player in the Scottish League.

We've progressed quite well in the Europa League so far against inferior opposition. We've got Standard Liege in the next round though who we can't afford to under-estimate, it will be a tough test to see if we can reach the Europa League Playoff stage.

We managed to avoid conceding against Liege in the first leg which was vital as it prevented them getting an away goal. We went out there and I tried to attack as I knew if we got a goal we'd be in a great position, this worked well as we were 3-0 up by half-time. Liege did come back but they could only get 2 goals when they needed 4.

We were ridiculously unlucky in our draw for the Playoff as apart from Monaco, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid there wasn't really that many teams I was really worried about us drawing. Of course we got bloody Monaco. We lost the first leg 3-1 and this was with a player sent off in the 60th minute. It wasn't a great performance but Monaco are a much better side than us so I wasn't expecting miracles.

4f1a0046fcad3923c35a11e9df464915.png

But we very nearly got one in Monaco! We took an early lead through Kieran Wallace, they promptly equalised but at half-time it was still quite respectable at 1-1. We had our DM go off injured after I'd made all our subs in the 65th minute which weren't great but at that point we had nothing to lose so I just kept going all out attack to try and nick something. We did in the 76th minute when against the run of play Velijko Vasilijevic smashed one in which put us within a goal of dragging it to extra-time. We did have a couple of chances to nick a 3rd too so it was gutting really that we didn't get it. I don't think with 10 men we would've been able to win it in extra-time or take it to penalties but it was still a fantastic fight back and display from the team.

A pretty fantastic start to the season for a team who finished in the bottom half last season. Our great run of 3 wins was ended by St Johnstone so it will be interesting to see how we come back from this. It seems a tight league though as we beat champions Ross County 3-0 which really made me think positive things about the team.

A decent 3-0 win against St Johnstone to progress in the League Cup.

An okay month. We beat Aberdeen 3-2 in a good match before getting a draw in my first Old Firm Derby - not the worst result, would've been nice to win but I was pleased we didn't go there and lose. We did lose to Dundee United though which puts us down to 4th in the table.

Going to the 2040/41 European Nations League, how's each division heading with all European teams? Also, the 2042 FIFA World Cup is underway, so will your group in the "Group of Life", "Group of Death" or neither?

Our qualifying group for the 2042 World Cup shouldn't be too bad as we're ranked 5th in the World. I didn't actually realize until I just looked but our Nations League group is actually a Group of Death as it contains both finalists from the last World Cup :D

385dd8e5a04160e1e1020ad427c7d79c.png

There's still not been a non-European World Cup winner since the game started. I just noticed Ukraine were runners up in the last World Cup so that makes me feel less bad about losing to them. The next World Cup will be in Germany who funnily enough are going into it as the holders - they'll have to be favorites for that, although we did just beat them 3-1 so who knows what could happen.

He goes to Aa... so Aalborg.

If you want to do the whole Danish alphabet, it should be Z - Æ - Ø - Å/Aa. Not sure if there are any Æ or Ø clubs in Denmark/Norway, though... ;)

Not quite sure what I'll do once I've completed Z. Probably depends how close to the release of the new FM coincides with my completion. Got 6 letters left but a few of them, X especially, could take a fair while to actually get. The numbers thing and 1860 Munich has crossed my mind though - could be an interesting one if I haven't yet won the Bundesliga.

I honestly can't think of a single team that starts with any other numbers than 1 though.

Maybe after Z you could go to double A - a club starting with A in a country that also starts with A. So you could be Adelaide (Australia) or Admira / Austria Vienna (Austria). After that you could be Botafogo (Brazil), BATE Borisov (Bulgaria), etc. You get the idea. Obviously will fall down when you get to the harder letters, but you should be alright for a while.

Neither could I. Looking in the editor, there are actually quite a few, but none in any of the playable leagues...

Yeah I'm not sure what I'll do yet. I've got an idea for a new save I want to do with FM17 which is completely unrelated to an Alphabet Challenge but we'll have to wait and see for that one :brock:

A really poor month in all honesty. We lost at home to Hibs which was poor, then very narrowly managed to beat Stirling and Stenhousemuir who we should both be beating comfortably. I feel those results papered over the cracks a bit, but winning when you're playing poor is never a bad sign.

We're top of the table! For now. A few teams have games in hand etc so can't get too carried away just yet.

A brace from Stephen Shaw helped us win at Partick to progress in the Scottish Cup

f54acc621ddbc6fc17970cdee8b77b23.png

A pretty disastrous month in the league though. We lost 4 of our 6 games which is really not great and shows that last month's results were just papering over cracks. At least we didn't lose the Old Firm Derby. We did also manage to absolutely slaughter Aberdeen away from home 8-1 - I thought that match was going to be the catalyst for us to hit top form again, but we then went and lost our next two games :D

A huge improvement on last month for sure as we picked up 3 victories from our 4 games in the new year.

We're back up to 4th but are someway off the top of the table and we have a lot of teams very close behind us ready to pounce on any mistake we make.

A big win against Dundee sees us make our way to the Scottish League Cup final. It will be an Old Firm Derby. A huge match not only as it will be for a cup but also as it's the first time I've played Celtic where we have to win or lose, as in our previous encounters we've drawn both.

41db92f72f6394540cd239dd487acde8.png

A nice 2-1 win against Queen of the South to see us through in the Scottish Cup.

e8ef5962f782fc48d214cf7025342d91.png

It was an alright month, we won more games than we lost but losing to Hibs especially was really frustrating as we were 2-0 up early on so to blow it 3-2 was pretty annoying.

9cc9a9f910369b8d418f1e65b16d60be.png

We're now 4th but are some way off 1st and 2nd. We could well catch up with 3rd place Stirling, but we also need to be cautious of those directly behind us too.

If you are carrying on this save after i would just start again with A and work your way back through but restrict it so yu can't go back to any of your previous clubs. I think i speak for many when i say we'd love to see you at Real Madrid

Yeah I was a bit gutted to miss out on Real Madrid but Rangers will at least give me an interesting challenge in a smaller league that I've not had a go in yet. Fingers crossed I can still get a go in Spain at some point with V :brock: Should be interesting to have a go in Spain as well having managed their national side.

A decent 1-0 win away to Stirling to put us into the Scottish Cup Semi Final.

b41def0afee430dc365373655c7dd83d.png

A pretty positive month in the league - we picked up a fantastic late win in Dundee, as well as beating Inverness and drawing for a 3rd time with Celtic.

0b9ddfdb4cd3722b786af217997bddec.png

We're not winning the league but we're in a decent position - I'd be happy if we held onto 3rd place.

4a4d669677a3cdf78cf7c1bc4d58083d.png

We finally beat Celtic! It came at the best possible moment as we bested Celtic in extra-time in the League Cup final to claim my first trophy in Scotland. The Bhoys were really tired in extra-time and it could have been 5 as Adam missed a penalty too.

We didn't set the world on fire with our performances in the final championship thing but we did only lose once and get a win at home to Dundee.

c9db3ae92de8aeba2fc1e6a9a2a72f4c.png

That win against Dundee was important as if they'd beaten us they would've pipped us to 3rd place and the Europa League that comes with it.

We now have Dundee in the Scottish Cup final to see if we can seal a cup double!
