4-2-3-1, which is what they've been using for the past couple of years.

Ribéry, Gourcuff and probably Henry all supporting Anelka/Benzema.

I would think it depends how much Malouda's good form has impacted on Domenech's selection, because one of that four (I.E. Henry or Anelka/Benzema) will have to drop out for him.

Rama Yade [French Sports Minister] has hinted that if Ribéry is implicated in any negative way in relation to this prostitute scandal he could be forcibly removed from the French squad or made unavailable.

Oh yeah, for those of you who didn't know on top of the most stubbornly ******** coach in the world we also have a minister who loves to speak before thinking and never does anything. Ribery is quite clearly implicated in a negative way, unless she sees going to whore houses as a positive thing... what is she going to do about it now? What a freaking idiot.

Yann M'Vila is a young defensive midfielder/box to box player, he looks a good prospect. He's had a great season at Rennes. Clownface doesn't need to prove anybody wrong because he doesn't listen anyway. I told you he was had to gauge because he's train of thought is off the scale.

Moussa should be in the thirty man squad instead of Diaby, such a poor choice. The sooner that moron goes the better.

A ce jour, quelle est votre confiance dans la capacité du sélectionneur de l'équipe de France, Raymond Domenech?

Très confiant : 3,4%

Assez confiant : 18,6%

Peu confiant : 41%

Pas confiant du tout : 37%

:D

No Benzema in the 30-man squad?

I thought Domenech was a bit muppet - not quite as much as everyone else liked to portray him as, he did lead France to the last World Cup Final after all. But now I take it all back, he is an utter idiot. :thdn:

Wenger's fault Nasri didn't make it, mentioned him in the same breath as Pires a couple of weeks back and we all know how Domenech feels about him.

Seriously though, what a joke.

Tbh Nasri doesn't really deserve a call-up lets be fair...:p

Benzema has been as hopeless as Berbatov for Man U...you give them games and they just produce nothing...:thdn:

Not quite sure why he didn't just go with 3 keepers and get Benzema (or Nasri) in there, even if it's just for the 30 man squad. Yeah he's had a quiet season at Real, but isn't that even more reason why he'd be up for the WC?

I have very little confidence.

I did, but which French manager was going to replace him then? Maybe the French FA were loyal after what he did in Germany.

Plenty of options. They basically gave him a vote of no confidence and forced Alain Boghossian on him as an assistant to keep an eye on things.

Laurent Blanc has informed Bordeaux that he wants to quit the club in order to become the new head coach of the French national side following the World Cup finals.

Blanc earlier told his players of his decision to resign, and will now be confirmed as Raymond Domenech's successor as les Bleus boss if compensation is agreed between the French Football Federation and Bordeaux.

Blanc was named Bordeaux manager in June 2007 and won the Coupe de la Ligue and the French title in his second season at the club, establishing an impressive reputation in the managerial world.

This season, Blanc took Bordeaux to the quarter-finals of the Champions League but they lost to French rivals Lyon and also fell dramatically off the pace in Ligue 1, eventually finishing in sixth position, 14 points behind champions Marseille.

Blanc captained France to World Cup glory in 1998, though he missed the final due to suspension, and has now signalled his determination to lead his country as head coach.

Bordeaux are keen to resolve matters of compensation with the FFF but it appears Blanc will replace the unpopular Domenech, who took France to the 2006 World Cup final but presided over a disappointing Euro 2008 campaign.
