African Striker Competition- Let the Games Begin

Recommended Posts

Breaking News from CNN

Ahead of the African Cup of Nations, the CAF felt that each permanent member of the Federation should be given a future star. With the help from scientists and some incredible luck, each of the 53 members received an 18 year-old wonderkid. The idea is meant to bring more parity, and hopefully more goals to African soccer.

These wonderkids will have dual purposes, individually they will be competing against each other to play and score more than their counterparts, all while trying to guide their teams to African Cup and World Cup glory.

Following the first season, the players will be divided into three divisions of play and an overall competition meant to crown the king of African soccer. Everyone will be starting in the country that colonized their particular nation. In a further wrinkle, to give an idea of originality, there will be a larger competition between the imperial countries. With 19 people starting in France, and 15 in England, there will be further competition between France, England and the Rest of the World to crown the top imperialists.

Nonda and Lualua may keep me out of the Congo DR setup for quite a while. Luckily, there is a data issue with Christopher Samba (Blackburn), however. In the game he represents Congo DR, but in real life, he represents the other Congo. He'll be a huge help for the defense!

Hmmm not bad, my little Malian man should hold up ok. Random attribute of Long Throws 17 and Free Kicks too, which is nice.

Had a quick flick through some of the other profiles and there's some pretty handy looking players there though!

Joo - Guinea (apart from the stamina of 1 icon_razz.gif )

Tyler Burrows - Djibouti

Claudio Sanchez - Congo

& Ima Striker - central African Republic

all stood out from te first half of the list that I could be bothered to go through!

Still - my little Malian has bagged 7 in 4 non-competitive, so I'm hopeful of giving it a good shot.

Can't wait for this to get started now. icon_biggrin.gif

Haha.. as long as the coach doesn't want to me to run. I may have the chance to last through the full match and score something.

With your stats I expect you'll be able score goals without running out of energy. icon_biggrin.gif

As long as you keep the celebrations to the minimum. You just might make it to the corner, but I think the dug-out is out of bounds icon_biggrin.gif

Your technical stats look great tough.

Come on Blue Sharks!

Pretty happy with the look of my player. icon14.gif He should be a superstar for the Seychelles, a naion with next to no footballing history having never got past the prelim rounds of any qualifiers. I hope they play lots of friendlies! Best nation for me I guess as the national team is nicknamed 'The Pirates'. icon_biggrin.gif

Good stuff. Nice random attributes of aggression and bravery icon14.gif But Stamina of 2! icon_eek.gif I did ask for 20, so I hope Elche can train me up a bit better!

Good work Spartans5. I know how much work it is to get a sign-up going so stick with it!

September 2007

I hope its not a problem Walcott's but I just copied and pasted your table as it was a lot easier to do that because I kept screwing up when trying to make it.

International matches don't occur in Africa until September this year, and the first couple months went by without any major incidents, there were a couple injuries but none that affected anyone too much. The first round of international matches saw 19 people make their debuts for their nations. All of them were starters with the exception of Allan Baldo, who came off the bench for Cape Verde and bagged a goal to salvage a draw in his match against Angola. There were quite a few lopsided matches this month with the largest gap being an 11-1 thrashing that Algeria gave to Ethiopia, although Josh Roll did score the only goal for Ethiopia in the match. The most entertaining match saw Botswana beat Somalia 6-4 with both Kolo Kone{/B] and Chris Babaginda featuring in the match, however Babaginda was the only one to score. Arthur White jumped out to an early lead in this year's competition as he scored a brace and received Man of the Match honors in a 3-3 draw with Libya.

<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">Player News </pre>

Injuries

<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">- Obayouri Kitenge is out for between a week and a month with a sprained ankle.

- Chris Babaginda is out for between four days and 2 weeks with a thigh strain

- Bom Chikawawa is out for between 4 days and 3 weeks with a groin strain </pre>

October will bring the end of African Nations Qualifying and will have the first round of World Cup Qualifying in Africa. Hopefully we will see more debuts as the lower ranked nations of Africa will have three matches next month. Next month will also see the debut of the Imperial Table. Again if there is anything else you would like to see in each update just let me know.

Victor Cheetah (Predator) is looking pretty decent for an 18year old!

Hopefully will get a callup to the national team within a couple of years.

Yeah, you might as well copy it fella - you've copied everything else! icon_wink.gif (Jokes, its absolutely fine icon_biggrin.gif)

Just a little tip for you, in some of the int months friendlies take place as well so you might want to check the friendlies list to ensure you've capture everyone - that nearly caught me out on a couple of occasions! icon14.gif

Just like Blackats, I don'T expect my player to get much service from the Seychelles midfield but a quick debut and guaranteed to have a long career. icon14.gif With that in mind, Spartan will you be giving bonus points for breaking scoring and caps records as in the original European version?
