He's a good forward, only 24 years old but already proven himself. He's not in the group of names such as Ronaldo, Bale, Messi - who let's be honest we're never going to be able to sign. IMO it's a transfer which we might be able to pull off if we went in for him. Yes coming here probably wasn't his first choice but when he arrived he was amazing. LVG then tried to be the mastermind he thinks he is and played him in every position other than his best, including striker ffs. LVG can be blamed for many things, but if a player doesn't want to be here, that's not really on his back. At least not the way this played out. Would be great if it worked out and he's a great player (when he can be bothered), but all in all it was best for both parties that he was sold. He didn't appear to care, and was just going through the motions. The players are on the pitch, not LVG, and they need to perform. If they don't, they don't play. Just as I suspected, you support a small club (in terms of the last 10+ years) and therefore are for the internationals. We need energy and movement in midfield not a big lump. Can only assume he is there to strengthen our poor defending of set pieces and exploit theirs.
