Then got thumped 5-1 to Norwich who had just come off the back of a 8-2 defeat to Burnley. Hope Mr Hough can give some sort of advice on how to get things flowing again. After superb start as i mentioned few post earlier i went to loosing-drawing streak that almost costed me season. I dropped tactic in mid-season and managed to be win promotion. iSpoon Posted March 2, 2015 Share Posted March 2, 2015 Playing as exeter, after winning promotion into league 1 the day before the new patch, I then won league 1 using this tactic in the consecutive season. So I played a whole new season in a higher league with largely the same group of players and won the league with a game to spare. To add some context to that, Matt Grimes is still my best player. I haven't used any editors on any players. The tactic still works. P.S 10 games into my championship season, i'm 5th, still using 6 of the same 11 I won league 1 with. I want to use this tactic as I love the 3-striker tactics he make, just one question, which version do I need to use? My game's on 15.3? fat_Aj999 Posted March 12, 2015 Share Posted March 12, 2015 I've been using it with Bristol City in the Prem (3rd season in) after patching to 15.3 just prior to the season starting, thought I had made a big mistake after I found myself in the bottom three come September, but persevered with it (after dallying with Mr Roslers tactic) and I am now storming up the table, beating Arsenal and Man City, coming back from 3-0 down against Chelsea to draw 3-3 and in the quarters of the FA Cup. Just after New Years and I am now 9th, took until December for my new players to fully bed in and my old players to acclimatise to the Prem, but still works for me. Great tactic, was so much fun going through the leagues with this. Word of caution, you need a decent GK/DM, fast CB/WB's and someone 'crazy' up front (high flair/technique/long shots - Like JET/Saurez etc). Also if you concede early you may be in for a tonking.... Kevin_M Posted March 17, 2015 Share Posted March 17, 2015 Started a Roma save with this tactic on 15.3 - averaged 3 goals a game whilst hardly conceding any, although I did get spanked by Chievo 4-1. Got to the start of December with two defeats, one draw and the rest wins. All in all this tactic does what it says on the tin, but I had to stop using it. I havent Used OI's at all, There will be 2 versions of the tactic a 4-1-2-1-2 and a 4-1-2-3. Still testing and i've just lost my First Game 2-0 to Stoke, My team is Ravaged with injuries though and with Everton being a small squad as it is i dont have any decent back up. I haven't used any OI for this, and I'm 2nd in the premier league with my promoted Forest team. Works a charm. Started using it two weeks ago. You'll have a lot of chances but miss most of them, whilst the opponents will score all of their shots on target. Against bigger teams away from home you can easily get trounced by 4 or 5. This is a regular occurrence using this tactic unfortunately (I'm using the 'here comes the stinger' variant), so I'd advise against using it unless you're managing a club with all world class players. I made a variation of your 4123 tactic with a target man that destroyed FM15 but it doesn't seem to work in 16. I was thinking about reinventing the diamond in a 442 again instead but making it fairly similar to the 4123 formation which has just been the king of the last few games.
