  1. I see penalties still haven't been fixed. My striker with 19 for penalty taking has now missed 3 in a row. I also see the bug for tactics for managing underage international sides being reset every time a game is loaded hasn't been fixed either despite being reported. What is the point in reporting simple bugs like this when they're never fixed?
  2. That must be your best one yet Knap in terms of goals scored and GD! Would you keep it as positive for both home and away matches?
  3. Could one of you guys answer this for me instead seen as though I don't think any SI member is going to? It's a big factor in me deciding whether to start a new game or not.
  4. Tweaks to AI logic when evaluating whether to loan list young players Can an SI member of staff clarify more regarding this change? My biggest gripe has been the lack of development in young players with enormous potential sitting in their club's reserves for season after season. Has this change been seen to rectify the problem and to what degree?
  5. Still continuing to miss penalties at an alarming rate while struggling to save any at the other end. Here are some statistics from my current season to prove just how broken penalties are: Taken: Missed (penalty taking 13) Scored (15) Missed (15) Scored (15) Missed (11) Missed (16) Missed (16) Missed (16) Scored (16) Total: 3/9 Conceded: Scored (17) Scored (14) Scored (17) Total: 3/3
  6. What is with penalties in this game?! I've missed four in a row with players of high penalty taking attitudes against poor keepers who have low morale. Ridiculous.
  7. This is also the same with senior internationals. Any chance of a hot fix to correct this matter?
  8. I'm now into my third season as Middlesbrough manager and overall I can now make an opinion that the game is simply average. The ME is ok. I have no major grievances with it. Some small improvements on FM23 but not a lot. The main issues I have that are well documented are the AI squad planning. Chelsea have one player out on loan for the 25/26 season. One! City have two. I use the in-game editor and the amount of young players with +160 PA but continue to sit in their club's reserves is crazy. United have a 21 year-old striker with 113 CA and 170 PA and hasn't played a competitive match in 15 months following on from a successful 6 month loan. His asking price is still £30m for some reason. Celtic have a midfielder with similar CA and PA and he has been limited to a handful of substitute appearances and yet isn't loan listed. His CA hasn't changed since he came back from his loan move a year ago. Brighton have a 21 year-old striker with a CA of 87 and PA of 156. Again no appearances, no loans (ever), but it'll take £28m to prise him away. Evan Ferguson, one of the best young players in the game has made 13 starts in two seasons. I get some young players in real life naturally don't fulfill their potential, but what I'm witnessing on FM24 is absolutely pathetic. Oh, and press conferences remain as bad as ever. Thanks for not bothering to improve that for the fifth+ year in a row despite widespread criticism from the SI community. Overall, this game is basically FM23 in a new fancy new box.
  9. I am also experiencing this problem. I'm dual manager of Middlesbrough and the Republic of Ireland U19s. Any time I load the game my tactics and set pieces for Ireland reset and I have to reload everything. No issues with my tactics for Boro.
  10. Has anyone a screenshot or link of how to set up for set pieces? Can't seem to see the mc40 one on YouTube.
  11. Love it pal! Have you tried an alternative attacking one with an AMC instead of DM?
  12. Would love to see a 352 or a variation of the GREENKNAPXMAS with two AMC.
  13. I find myself checking the forum daily in hope of an early release of the upcoming patch. I'm incredibly excited to begin a long term save as I've been itching to get going since the Beta. Thing is though I hold out very little hope the patch will fix things based on past experience. If that's the case and we're expected to wait for a full fix in March that will be me officially done with this game for good. I've lost count of how many versions I've only been able to start playing in March. Not again.
  14. This is absolutely appalling that I'm once again being made to wait for the game to be fixed before starting a long term save. It's the same cycle every year: 1) SI announce the launch date for the latest FM and so begins the list of new features and enhancements. Begin to get excited despite promising myself I wouldn't invest in another edition after all the issues last year. 2) Beta is released and the first couple of days feedback is positive. Match engine looks to be finally fixed. I go against my gut and pre order the game. 3) People start to notice the same bugs that have been around for the last few editions. Large criticism ensues on the forums regarding the match engine, AI, lack of improvements to international football, player unhappiness, etc. 4) Game is released on schedule. Large percentage of die hard players are in agreement it's no where near ready. I decide to wait for a patch before beginning my long term save, so I mess around with the editor in the meantime. 5) A minor patch is released but it does very little to improve the overall aspect of the game. 6) A larger patch is released just before Christmas. Some bugs have been fixed, others haven't, the game remains largely unplayable so again I decide to wait. 7) Another minor patch is released mid January. 8) It's now March and the main patch is released. The game isn't perfect but it's playable - 4 months after release. I finally get a chance to play knowing that there won't be any major updates that will disrupt my save. Begin to really enjoy it but disappointed it's taken this long. Hope SI have learned from this and the next edition will as good as the game is now with just some small cosmetic improvements. 9) Return to point number 1. *Please be the year the cycle is broken, SI. I really don't want to have to wait until March for the match engine to stop being tinkered with, and all the necessary bugs to be removed*
  15. That's too bad. Even with permission from his parents?
  16. Guys, can you add Mason Melia of St. Patrick's Athletic into the Database? He turned 16 on the 22nd of September (as per his Wikipedia page), and therefore should meet the age requirement to be in the full game. If the age is an issue I'm sure there's some sort of way I or someone else could reach out to his parents for special dispensation. His case would be similar to Martin Odegaard back when he was 15 and was able to be in the game.
  17. This has to be rectified before full release. It's a major negative. Too many 'big' teams buying high potential youngsters only to be playing them in their U21 for a couple of seasons, occasionally opting to loan them out, and then for some reason often than not getting them to sign a new contract just to remain a bench player. Players rarely meeting their potential at big clubs.
  18. @knap Have you tested an Argus with 2 up front with 2 CM (rather than DM) and either a DM or AMC to make a 3 man triangle midfield?
  19. So first of all, how the hell is this a straight red card in the first place? It was not two-footed or in any way a dangerous foul. Text on screen read that the player was the last man, while in my inbox following it my PA said it was a professional foul and the referee's decision was probably justified but clearly from the image below the player is not the last man, and if he is, he is just fractionally with my other two DCs in a position to get back in front of him, and the opposing attacker is out wide and is not in any clear goal scoring position. I failed with the appeal and my defender will now serve a three match ban as a result which lead me to asking the above question: has anyone ever been successful in overturning a red card?
