England

Experienced duo Frank Lampard and Gareth Barry have both been ruled out, but fellow midfielder Scott Parker has been passed fit following an Achilles problem. Chelsea defenders Ashley Cole, John Terry and Gary Cahill will all start, with Parker set to partner captain Steven Gerrard in midfield. Danny Welbeck and Glen Johnson should figure against Belgium after being left out of the Norway trip and Theo Walcott looks to be OK despite requiring heavy strapping around his ankle.

Belgium

Chelsea fans heading to Wembley on Saturday will be looking forward to taking a close look at Eden Hazard, the highly-rated 21-year-old who sayss to be on his way to Stamford Bridge. However, Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is doubtful with a calf injury. Fulham forward Moussa Dembele and Chelsea frontman Romelu Lukaku are set to feature, along with Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini, Arsenal centre-half Thomas Vermaelen, Tottenham target Jan Vertongen and Sunderland keeper Simon Mignolet.

Build Up

England have won four of their last six games, all by a 1-0 scoreline (D1 L1 in the others).

The Three Lions have scored 19 goals in five matches at home to the Belgians.

Of teams they have met at least 12 times, England only have a higher win % against Northern Ireland than they do against Belgium (70%).

I like that Belgium XI, and it doesn't even include Lukaku or KDB.

Hope AOC can have a good game, and Welbeck too. Wonder if we will see Rooney at some point just to give a run out and give a rest to someone who will feature in the first two matches.

Parker and Gerrard so limited as CM's in a 442. Neither are disciplined enough in or out of possession. Guarantee one of them gets sent off in the Euro's.

Also guarantee that Parker throws himself into a few blocks and Gerrard scores a wonder goal...so will mask their limitations.

Still can't believe Carrick hasn't gone. Especially being chosen behind Barry and Henderson.

he wasnt though, he would have gone to the euros if he hadnt thrown a hissy fit and said hed only go if he would be starting or playing a prominent role
