Administrators Popular Post Neil Brock Posted February 11, 2021 Administrators Popular Post Share Posted February 11, 2021 Just wanted to take the opportunity to highlight the incredible generosity and kindness shown by a number of members within the OTF section of the SI Community Forums. Now for those of you who aren't aware, OTF (Off-Topic Forum) has been a part of the Sports Interactive community as long as there's been an SI community. It's a space where members have discussed pretty much anything, from random hobbies and Dad Jokes to dealing with huge life events and experiences. One such life experience has now led to a number of OTF's finest coming together to donate hundreds of pounds for a very worthy cause. It began with one long term OTF'er @Weezer wanting to do what was essentially a post count brag. Aware that bragging isn't a trait we aspire to here on the forums, he tried to do a commendable thing and conduct a prize draw valued essentially at 0.1p per post he'd made. (£30). @SouthCoastRed, OTF's very own Victor Meldrew and BOTU (Battle of the Users) Champion, said he'd like to enter, but if he won for the prize to be donated to the Oakhaven Hospice, a facility that cared for Mrs SouthCoastRed. Since doing so, a number of members have taken upon themselves to completely ignore Weezer's boastful achievement and instead donate, raising £350 since Monday. I don't tend to hang out in OTF all that much, so I'd missed the original thread, but I know how much @SouthCoastRed means to the community, so add my £50 to the donation cup. I mean, I enjoyed coming here before and have been doing so for years, but it's been a daily visit during the pandemic and it's such a great community.
