OK I'm holidaying England for a bit just as a project type thingy and Southampton have been taken over by a tycoon. Spent over £100million in the latest transfer window and currently top of the league after 10 games. I'll upload it if anyone's interested.

Specs:

It's in 2020 and Southampton are without success so far with only one cup final appearance to their name (a Capital One Cup defeat to Stoke a few years before the takeover).

Squad looks good enough to be competitive -- Fierro and a decent-looking Dutch regen up front and a reasonable rest of the team.

No budget for the January window as over £100million has been spent by the AI.

Some decent youngsters coming through.

The rest of the save:

Spurs and Arsenal are the 2 richest teams in the world, worth over £1.2billion. No sugar daddies there although the budgets should be quite big.

Only the English league loaded down to the Skrill N/S as this is a holiday save primarily so I am not intending to play as anyone and only discovered Southampton's Slovak Sugar Daddy by fluke.

Therefore about 20,000 players.

Any interest and I'll upload later this week when my holidaying is done :)

They're in the Skrill Premier. Haven't seen them above that level but they definitely spent a couple of years in the Skrill North.

Incidentally Southampton never really had any real success with their tycoon. He took them from a Europa League team to being a regular 2nd and 3rd placed team which never won anything of note besides a couple of Community Shield's and a League Cup. Since he pulled his funding about 4 seasons ago they've struggled on and continued to compete but they've fallen foul of FFP once and are now in administration with debts of over £1billion. Playing staff are still brilliant but it looks like they'll be forced to sell them all.

Brilliant! Serie A's my favourite league after the Premiership so i'll definitely be giving this a go and think it could be very interesting, bit of a shame that theres no budget to start off with but hopefully it won't be too long before it starts pumping in :D

Don't think I'm going to last long enough with this Genoa save to actually get some money! Currently haven't won a single game in all my 7 games, with certain players getting hat tricks against me in nearly every single game...

EDIT- Well, I've been sacked, after not winning any of my 13 league games and being bottom of the table, shame really as the money made it really interesting but I think it would have benefitted the team more if there was money in the first window...

Ironically given the thread title, I'd love to takeover that broken Southampton team. :D

On my Man United save Sheffield United and Stoke City have had takeovers. They happened in 2018 and its now at the end of 2019 with Stoke (newly promoted) sat in 4th spot only 6th off the top and Sheffield United are 17th, 16 points off the playoffs but now have a 44,000 seater stadium. Most major European Leagues loaded and Brazil, Argentina, South Korea and China also loaded.

On a second save just found Lokomotiv Moscow have a tycoon who has raised the club value to over £200m and will buy Matej Vydra for £30mill (just bid for him) so I imagine that theres a high budget. The game date is the 1st of July 2015, last season they finished 8th but are now predicted to finish 2nd in the league

Coventry got a Tycoon takeover after just one month, so the date is somewhere at the end of july 2013. You get around £20m for transfers, but the FFP rules prevent you from actually signing any players due to a cap on your wage budget.

Now thats a very interesting save considering their financial situation, will definitely be trying this out, hopefully works out better then my Genoa tycoon save!

Any idea when the wage cap stops?

In 2021 with Nottingham Forest and have won PL x3, CL x4, CWC x2, FA cup x 4, Carling cup x4, Supercup x2

Transfer Budget: 231m

Immense squad with a 23 year old striker who scores 40+ goals every season

2nd Richest club in world

Average squad age: 24

No tycoon but a really good squad + massive transfer budget

St Mirren (Scottish Prem) have just had a tycoon takeover, I'm guessing this might interest some people?

Bank Balance: 26,544,142

Transfer Budget: 6,370,000

They are currently challenging for the title which is a surprise, so they must have a strong squad. The projected income for the season is over £50mil!

I'd be interested in this, sounds like a good challenge and some good fun :)

I have finally updated the OP with all of the saves so far posted. If I've missed any out, feel free to point them out to me.

I have included any relevant information that I've been given by the posters of the saves. I have also downloaded all of them (I think), meaning that if for whatever reason the links expire, I will be able to reupload the saves for you to download for yourself :thup:

I have been following this thread, just not posting. I'm pleased to see it's been so active. The Genoa save seems like a cracker, I might give that a go myself.

This team is 20th in Serie B atm and has just had a tycoon takeover, I will upload a save in January. I have checked and rn they have £16.03million with 212k spare wages. The transfer budget can be shifted all the way to £27million.

(Tenerife has also had a tycoon since 2014 but consistently finishes mid/lower half of the table)

Don't know how I missed this in my Pompey save, but;

I only noticed due to my scouts recommending Virgil van Dijk, noticed he was at Everton and on £140,000 a week!!

I am now currently coming to the end of the 17/18 season if anyone is interested.

Yeah laughed at Xabi being VC :D

Their top players at the moment are Musa, Icardi, Son, Nelson Oliviera... the rest are overpriced average players like Smalling, Rodwell, Altidore. They still have 33 year old Baines on £140k a week though...

Hey People. I am a massive LCFC fan and have just seen in my new save that they have had a tycoon takeover, the date is 1/10/13 so very near the start of the game. budgets arent massive, you get £3m transfer budget but a massive 325,000 extra wage budget, which if you adjust can make your transfer budget £19m. Which makes it even more of a challenge is after 11 games they are sitting bottom of the championship with 5 points. If anyone wants me to upload the fgame or send them it via email let me know
