ddidiodion
He just needs to back heel everything, easily got 45 goals a season in him that way.
Icondacarver
now that you mention it I'm appalled that we haven't had one already :*(Also want BG to come in on a rant about how we get all the deflections BG, the one that never makes sense or the one even other Newcastle posters dislike......NUFCSean or the other way round. Top 3 contenders.
Icondacarver
This. He's developed phenomenally in every other aspect but when it comes to shooting it's almost like he's regressed Being given a role that keeps you away from prime shooting real estate will do that to you. Games like this is where he should get CF time and not RVP who looks half-interested as the fatigue has taken its toll.
Icelander83
NUFCSean (or vice versa) and pearcey are busy in the Liverpool thread icon I really, really like Buttner. Not in the sense that I want him to be our first choice or play more than 15 games a season, mind you. I just really like him on the pitch

I don't think we have to worry about that tbf. As we have scored one goal and Reading no goals, we've won this game quite a bit already

Icelander83
Everybody knows that 2-0 is the most dangerous scoreline in football so im not sure about that They mean the same thing! No, as one is correct and the other is something that only exists in your head
Icondacarver
They mean the same thing! 1 gunshot to the belly and he is close to dying, another shot to the chest and he is closer to dying. At no point is he more "dead" than the other, he is either dead or alive. He can be closer to dying (winning) but once dead (won), you don't make it any more certain. *At this point, Andrew claims to have been joking all along*
Andrew_
Who got shot? "More won" is fine to use in the footballing context above. You all know and understand what is implied. Screw you all!

Andrew_
OptaJoe @OptaJoe 92.3% - Rio Ferdinand had more touches than any other player (48) during the first half, completing 92.3% of his 39 passes. Excelling.

RSB
Everyone arguing the finer points of the English language with Andrew forgetting that he was steadfast in his assertion that 'could of' was an acceptable replacement for 'could have'? I really, really like Buttner. Not in the sense that I want him to be our first choice or play more than 15 games a season, mind you. I just really like him on the pitch Yeah, rather cult is young Alexander. The tats, the attitude, the propensity to throw a couple of stepovers before spanking one from 30 yards... probably never going to be first choice quality but you need players like him over the course of a season. OMG WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH THE REAL RSB?!?![/spazout]

Andrew_
Nice edit And Rooney Did you really want it to continue? What i find acceptable here is different to others. Ah, because of the goal. OptaJoe @OptaJoe 537 - Manchester United have now gone 537 minutes without a conceding a goal in the Premier League. Solid.
Icelander83
Today really highlighted how amazing De Gea's kicking is. That's not even based on our game fwiw Watched the City game and Hart is so poor with the ball at his feet! Makes a huge difference to have a keeper who can actually distribute the ball well from any scenario, even if it's just clearing it into touch without problems. Hart had a goal kick that he didn't even get over the half way line ffs
Phat Phish
think we vds and now de gea we take gk distribution for granted a bit. even just with lindegaard in net it's easy to see how much a positive difference it makes. massively overlooked area of goalkeeping imo

Sheps.
Does anyone know where to a find a detailed set of stats/average positional graphs (and anything else like that) for our players? More specifically, I'm wanting ones for Welbeck against Madrid.
RSB
WhoScored have a decent set of Opta stats - their Madrid coverage here. No average positional graphs though. ESPN do have some heatmaps but they seem to have declined in quality since the site revamp. There's also some stuff on the fishal waffa site.

Pangaea
An unlikely candidate may be fantasyfootballscout. You can check some comparison stuff in this video. If I recall correctly, there was some positional info too. It's not free though, and I don't know if they include all matches or just PL matches.
