I started a game unemployed and got offered the West Ham job at the end of season 1 after Big Sam failed to get them promoted. Long story short, I won the Championship playing a 442 of my own. After promotion i decided that my back 4 werent good enough to play without some cover, saw this and thought it ticked all the boxes.

Anyway, ended my first seson in the Prem as League Cup Winners and Premier League Champions!!! For a newly promoted team that is amazing!! Dont get me wrong i was given a decent amount of money to make my team competitive but didnt expect anything like this!!

Hey guys,sorry but I am having my uni Finals and as I was failing,I decided to put in my time there rather than on FM over the past 3-4 weeks.

I shall start playing in about a weeks time when my finals finish and then I will upload the latest version which was ready but not uploaded but now I can't upload since I forgot how it worked.:S

So I will play with it and hopefully once I remember what players you need and all that,I will upload it.

BTW,Luizinho,I know you try a lot of tactics,so any ideas on the best defensive corner and defensive free kick setting?I remember conceding from them only :/

I came to the forums to let you all know of my latest update on the new tactic.I have been playing for 2 days with Bilbao to test it with a different kind off team.Team seems to have altered play by itself to suit Llorente by crossing more etc.

But he got injured in January and then I got in the striker Toquero with **** stats and he's been banging them in for fun as well.

It looked like it was the finished material initially.With little or no conceded,but around 10 goals in past 10 ish games have meant I will play another season with them and also play with another team prior to any uploading

Any suggestions on who you wanted the tactic tested with?

Allright guys,made some more changes to the tactic and its looking terrific.Only used it for a short time,but my oh my I love it.

AND AS MANY PEOPLE ON OTHER THREADS HAVE MENTIONED how the tactic ONLY works for the corner regime,I tried to see this time about how many I score from a corner so I shall upload a screenshot of that.

Now as for this version.Tbh,it has a very good attack like always coupled with a terrific defence I feel(touch wood).

Only problem I am having with Bilbao is that in most games I am 4-0 up by halftime so I take off my best players as squad depth is less and then all of a sudden opposition starts having shots and things get weird,like 0 shots in 60 minutes to 2 goals and as many shots as me in the last 30.Here are the screens of the goals I conceded in games after I started using the new version,in the last draw against Arsenal,I shifted to defensive mentality and conceded two,so I don't think I can keep this shape if I want to defend.lol.In the game before that the OIs were messed up as they had a 5 in the back and I dint notice and they scored from long rangers as a result of not being shown onto the weaker foot.

P.s.-I am not saying you won't concede at all or opposition won't get any chance at all.But it looks neat and tidy defensively.

So I am going to make a hold on tactic and release the two in tandem,so that for those who donut mind conceding one as long as they score one more(like me) they can use this all along but for the ones who like a good defence can use the other one.

Tbh,my teams second half performances in games where we dominate in the first half has been **** and this is with an aggressive not good enough at halftime or don't get complacent reluctantly.So if you have any ideas,would be most willing to listen.As in good hold on to lead tactic/good defensive tactic/good possession tactic.Or better half time team talk please advice.

Oh and also I haven't used defensive positioning as I feel the tactic is good enough on its own.I have used defending set pieces as thats where opposition looks most dangerous from but to no avail,so I think ill scrap that now.

Attack has been amazing.Llorente has scored quite a few.

I got a lot of transfers in this season Monreal,Azpi and Ruffier and Aduriz.

All 4 have been terrific.

Esp,Ruf and Aduriz as the others have been used sparingly.

Other than these games dint concede.Dint lose with this tactic.The loss against Madrid was when I was tweaking a bit and made an error of judgement.But well if I hadn't been tweaking,I wouldn't have come to this.So I think it should all be good.

I shall start a save with Boro today.But the ask looks easy.I started with them with a previous version and I actually was winning pretty easy.But I will still do one with this version from the beginning and show screens.

Any ideas for the big team and the small team to be tested with?

I guess Bilbao covers the middle team and Boro is also a middle/strong team.

I am thinking of Bayern for the big team or Dortmund and maybe Granada from Spain as the relegation threatened team?Or do you think I should do another Swansea?Or Wigan?

Tbh,all these tests won't be possible for a whole season as it takes time and as shown by Bilbao the tactic does survive the rerank and esp as you will have a 2nd hold out tactic and another 4-2-4 alternative to use when your struggling with this,I think 10-15 game test will be enough.

I wouldn't bother responding to criticism that is not actually based on any kind of reasoning or facts. Personaly, when I think I see a flaw in a tactic I post a screenshot and an extensive explanation on why I think it is a problem. Have fun making your tactics and don't let it get to you.

So I am going to do a test with Bayern Munich using the latest tactic.

The test is not going to use the CORNER BUG.

I am providing a screenshot of the corner routine I will be using.And if anyone feels this is unrealistic,I don't have anything more to say.

One last thing,I might change between 6 yard box,Far post and short option but will not be using near post.

I have only played one game with these settings but had one goal assisted from the corner.It was not scored at the near post and was scored from a delivery by Robben into the 6 yard area by Van Buyten.

This game was against a poor opposition so says nothing.

But

I messed up my half time team talk and all players were confused so most of the 32 shots were in the first half.

oh and I won 6-0.

So far looks good(touch wood).

Will update as I play more.

So I have finished my first 15 games with Bayern Munich and am pleased to report I have won all of the games without using the corner cheat.

Prior to what I said,I used the tactic with the corner not set to near post but set to far post and I have still scored 3 goals every game conceding very little from open play,bar long shots.

As you will can see from the screenshots of the games,the tactic still creates a lot of CCC and half chances but for some reason players don't score as many as they should.

I have averaged about 32 shots at home and 16 shots away from home.Half of which are usually half chances and CCC combined.

Observation of the games has shown that more goals are scored from half chances than CCC.

Even with the new corner set up I have scored 2 goals from corners whilst looking dangerous from most of them.

Out of the 8 goals conceded.Two came directly from headers from corners.1 in the Koln game came from a goalmouth scuffle after a corner.Both of the Mainz goals were long shots,and called Pure Inspiration by the commentary.The goal in the return leg of the Champions League qualifier was from a penalty and in that game I had played all of the youngsters.

In short I believe the defence is reasonably solid and I am undertaking certain tweaks right now to cut down on the goals conceded from long shots.

I havent signed any players but loaned 4 players.Danny Welbeck and Gerrard Deulofeo being the only ones who have played so far.All 4 of the players are basically youngsters that I signed to have as backup incase injury-prone players get injured and they have been injured a lot with Robben,Ribery and Gomez being subbed off on total 24 times in 15 games due to injury(knocks) in particular.

Gomez even lost his place to Welbeck for a short while.

Please tell me what you feel about the results.Feedback,both good and bad drive me to make my tactic better and is always welcomed as long as it is structured like the post above.

Atm,tbh I am very pleased with the tactic.I will not release it though hastily but test it for a full season with Munich too.Also I plan on doing a similar no corner cheat test with a smaller club.And I have developed 2 more tactics that I play alongside this to counter the narrow 4-1-2-1-2 or 3-3-2-1-1.They have been the formations that scored from open play against me.And hence the creation which was used for only small amounts of game time though.So I will test those as well and I also need to test a possession based tactic that Raikan has sent me to keep hold of the ball in the last few minutes which I haven't yet needed since Bayern dominate everyone.

This is even better in FM13... seriously I'm using the original, which I always used in FM12, no tweaks, as Spurs i've bought Schurrle & Gotze rotating with Bale on the wings Corchia as right back and Baines at left. 7-0 vs Reading, 5-0 vs, Chelsea, 4-0 vs Man City thats just 3 of the first 5 games. Lovely to watch as well. So glad it's working on FM13. One thing I always do so that this tactic lasts more than 6 months or a season is, just before proceeding to the match screen i add a 442 tactic as my main tactic. Then once in the match screen change the tactic to this tactic before kick off. Therefore my profile always shows 442 not this tactic. Call it cheating if you like, but it certainly keeps the ai guessing! Also I've given up doing team talks in FM13 and have Demichelis as my Ass Man doing it so that may have a big impact on the success? Anyway just thought i'd let you know it's great in FM13 too!! ...

Yea it worked really well for me in FM13 as well.I won two league titles with United.I am trying to recreate it in the TC style and so far have won the league with United using it,but not that great football.But thanks guys,which version are you guys using btw?

I have only ever used the original and the minor tweaks that are mentioned in this forum, like adjusting the right full backs mentality to match the LB etc. If you read through you'll know what I mean. As far as training goes i've switched to this tactic at the start of the season from tic-tac (wasn't going well) so still not fluid. hence training on max for match prep and tactics until its fluid all over and I think i'll try and switch the responsibility to my Ass Man. I used the team talks from this thread in FM12 and they worked well, but there were occasions where I think I got it wrong and I believe that really does have an impact on the game regardless of how good your team is. I usually play Shrewsbury Town and this tactic will get me to the Premier League. Defensively I think this is the best ive tried on FM13 as well as smashing in loads of goals at the other end... albeit the ME is a bit comedy... my wingers get to the byline then shimmy along to the goal and score from a -45 degree angle!!! lol and some of the goal keepers hands must be made of rock as no one can catch the ball!!! so goals from rebounds a lot too. It's got the excitement going though as I was struggling with FM13 and nearly went back to 12! no doubt when it's patched it'll be back to the drawing board!!!.

this season the bulk of assists have come from Valencia with goals from all of the front 4.

Last season RVP got most of the goals.

1.in Opposition instructions,tightly mark opposition mcs,dl/r,amc,stcs.

2.If the formation is 4-4-1-1,just mark the fullbacks and amc and stc.

3.Show everyone other than cbs and gk onto weaker foot.

4.Put the amc as playmaker.He is the main man so should be someone who can play there.Pastore was great,so was Wolski and Howson for Norwich.

5.Dont put anyone on the throw in list.

6.Make sure the person taking the corner attacklingly has stay back.

7.Arrange defensive corner instructions with your players.

8.If you are losing or behind shift to all out attack from team mentality and if winning ultra defensive and if a very important match,you can also turn off counter attack,but i like it leave it on so that I can get another goal if possible.
