I'd get rid of a keeper, probably Kameni, as well as a couple of CBs, Burdisso and Forlin maybe, also D'Alessandro and an MC perhaps as well as Love and Kadlec. curtis666 Posted February 8, 2010 Share Posted February 8, 2010 Birmingham FC Season 1.Current Team: August Transfers: I am personally happy with the players I've bought in, but have yet to see how they play in the EPL, haven't played 1st game yet, but during pre-season Matty Fryatt has scored 9 in 7 and has got 2 assists. Zaki has 6 in 4 with 1 assist, hopefully those two can provide me the goals in the EPL games, and if not I've got Vieri for one of my back ups hey man not a bad team there a bit of experiance in there. but if i where you i would deffintly invest in a good experianced centre back to play alongside roger johnson, maybe sol campell hes on a free at begining of game. good luck dude. You should get in a creative-minded midfielder that can still defend like Defour, Moutinho etc, basically an upgrade of Schweinsteiger. Also do you not use Tymoschuk? He'd be more suitable than Altintop for the other central midfield position imo. Gomez is a good striker, but you could improve on him if you have the money. I'm thinking of using Criscito as CB as Carragher wont play much this season and keep Insua and Angel for LB last season Agger was my best perfroming CB scoring six goals (none were headers btw) and i have him getting forward the way he plays IRL and im on his favoured personnel so dont wanna sell him Hulk and Balotelli play as AML and AMR instead of ML and MR and last season Hulk scored 21 in 19, Balotelli scored 23 in 26 playing as inside fowards while Agbonlahor got 34 goals in 29 games thinking about selling maxi but cant get more than 7m for him and he is a good tutor..should i sell him for 7m? yea trying to sell reina and bring in hart or smithies thanks for the advice Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

You might want to consider making it more narrow, as all your players (with the exception of Young) play better in a central position. A starting lineup of... Cech Bos/Ivan Alex/Carvo Terry Cole Mikel/Kacar Lamps Essien Arsh/Young Drogs Dzeko ...would be quality imo, getting the full backs forward a lot to provide crosses for the front two. To strengthen you could add a top class DM and DC, and maybe a young striker. I'd also look to get rid of Andrade and Ballack, and to phase Carvalho, Anelka and possibly Joe Cole out of the team. Recommendations: DC - Chiellini, Otamendi, Bruno Alves, Fazio, Zapata, Luiz or any similarly talented player to slot alongside Terry. DM/MC - De Rossi, Rodwell, Veloso, Sandro, Moussa Sissoko. ST - Lukaku (), Sanogo, Tafer, Muniain, Belfodil, Babacar etc. If you want to keep the wide diamond though, I'd recommend getting in a new wide midfielder instead getting another DM. Look at Ribery, Alexis Sanchez, Albin or someone, or else you could get a new backup left back and push Zhirkov forward. Someone like Mattock would be a good backup LB. My team FB- Clichy, Sagna, Rennon, Gibbs CB- Cheilini, Sakho, Nordvert Song CM Sissoko, Cesc Ramsey Song Lansbury Threequaterista- Arshavin Nasri Inside forwards Walcot, RVP, Ribery, Arshavin, Eduardo TM- Dzeko Lukaku RVP now arshavins nearly 31 and only has 18 months left in contract and Eduardo is not playing much so might get un happy soon so thinking of cashing in on them which might bring me about 20 mil together and I also have a transfer kitty of 50 mil ..I do not want to spend it all but also want to bring in a world class threequterista ...whom Should i go for...been looking at Augero, Kroos and Ozil ..are they good for the role or is there any one better.. thanks for the help Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

If that was my Newcastle team, the only position I would be looking to improve would be the AML position when you play with the 4-2-4. We finished 2nd in the Premiership last season, though it was a close run thing. I'm just looking for some pointers on what other people think would be good places to strengthen ready for the first season in the CL. I've been given a £30mil budget, and have just signed Gago for £6.75mil. I've just sold Otamendi (he wasn't performing), so I know I need a CB. I lost out in bids for Curtis Davies and Jagielka though. I was thinking of using some of my promising 18 year olds to give the squad a little depth, but I'm wondering what people think. Another front-line striker I guess? I admit his screenshot isn't the greatest (purely down to not showing tactics alongside your squad and such Nothing major or wrong with yours, I just prefer it that way) but there was no need to give him an answer like that.
