hrbfcrule
You are getting a new stadium???? Oh, I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooo jealous!! Who did you bribe? What's the cheat code? I'm as surprised as you. I just saw the option while I was asking for another facility upgrade and thought why not. It's about time them facilities were completed !great news with the stadium too, hope both upgrades go okay So do I, I don't have too much faith in the new stadium one going through. Well done on getting the board to agree to a new stadium. Just make sure they start construction once the planning stage is finished! If you can get your gate receipts up, this will ensure there is more revenue available to spend on improved facilities. So in a couple of seasons time, you could be laughing I was and still am losing money in most months except preseason and June/July when the Euro Cup Qualifiers are. So this new stadium is much needed, I just hope its a decent size. It's great to see this thread (and the Forums!) back up and running!Do you think the new stadium will be named after the club's most legendary manager? I hope it's named after me but its very doubtful as I am not even on the club's favoured personnel list let alone a legend. I'm sure they'll go with the highly imaginative "IK Tord Stadium" What level are your youth facilities/training facilities at now? Excellent youth facilities + Youth Academy and Adequete Training Facilities. Bearing in mind I am a season behind in my updates. I am (slowly) catching up with them. Blimey, it's not until you try this challenge that you realise how difficult it is 2/3 through season 1 and battling to stay up/in my job. The hardest bit is at the start it gets easier as you go along. Just need a lot of patience
hrbfcrule
March 2034 Friendly: Bulgaria U21's 0-0 Sweden U21's You could tell this match was played during preseason. It was slow paced as players struggled for fitness to get ready for the new season. Hardly any goalmouth action as it laboured to a 0-0. League: AIK 0-0 Tord They were all over us for the 1st hour of the match but didn't make it count. We had a real chance to nick all the points when they got a man sent off in the 65th min. But despite the man disadvantage AIK held firm to deny us an opening day win. League: Tord 3-2 Gefle Was expecting a comfortable win and it looked that way as Hakan Nielsen (YP47) scored our 1st of the season. Martin Hansson (YP43) then made it 2-0 shortly before half time. Then we started to bottle it as Gefle scored twice in 5 mins to draw level. Somehow we stopped the rot and turned the game around again as Jonas Andersson (YP49) grabbed the winner in the 81st min. League: Atvidaberg 0-2 Tord Again was expecting an easy win but we still made it difficult for ourselves. Jonas Andersson (YP49) gave us the lead in the 17th min but Bojan Ohlsson (YP29) got a straight red 10 mins before half time. Despite that we still dominated the rest of the match and Jonas Andersson (YP49) killed the game off in the 76th min with his 2nd of the match. hrbfcrule
April 2034 League: Tord 1-1 IFK Goteborg It was a tough match and one where we struggled throughout. Goteborg took the lead early in the 1st half but Jonas Andersson (YP49) netted his 4th in 3 games to draw us level. League: Mjallby 0-2 Tord Our away form is starting off very well. Jorgen Melki (YP37) got us off to a good start by scoring a penalty in the 4th min and Rikard Andersson (YP54) doubled the lead 5 mins from half time. Job done. League: Tord 0-0 Malmo FF Home form meanwhile is looking shakey although we have played a few tough teams. We should have won this one but failed to put away crucial chances. League: Tord 2-0 Assyriska A good home win saw Jonas Andersson (YP49) back on the scoresheet along with Jorgen Melki (YP37). League: Hammarby Fotboll 1-2 Tord Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) scored his 1st ever goal for Tord as he came on as a 2nd half sub. A great start to his career lets hope it continues. Niclas Carlsson (YP39) added a 2nd in the 85th min to sela the win. Hammarby got a consolation in injury time but the win was ours.
hrbfcrule
May 2034 League: Syrianska Kerburan 1-2 Tord Our unbeaten streak continues despite another early red card in this match. Hakan Larsson (YP35) saw red before the half hour mark. He did manage to score the opening goal 10 mins earlier though. Just like the Atvidaberg match the red card didn't seem to faze us at all as we continued to outplay Syrianska. Martin Hansson (YP43) doubled our lead in the 53rd min and all Syrianska could muster was an 89th min consolation. League: Tord 1-0 IK Sirius An even match with the only major chance falling to us. Normally we struggle to take them but no such problems this time as Jorgen Melki (YP37) put it away with ease. League: Halmstad 1-3 Tord We shot out of the blocks leaving Halmstad in the dust as Peter Jansson (YP33) racked up his 1st 2 goals of the season and Jonas Andersson (YP49) added a 3rd. Halmstad did manage to get 1 back in the 2nd half but the damage was already done. Swedish Cup 3rd Round: Atvidaberg 2-1 Tord Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) continued to impress as he netted within 20 mins of his 1st start for the club. Unfortunately luck was not on our side in this match as Atvidaberg managed to score twice despite only having 1 shot on target in the whole match. League: Tord 2-1 Helsingborg Jorgen Melki (YP37) put us 1-0 up at half time following a largely dull 1st half. Helsingborg deservedly equalised 10 mins into the 2nd half but Peter Jansson (YP33) popped up to get an 89th min winner. League: Tord 3-2 Umea FC Again we started incredibly well. Jonas Andersson (YP49), Viktor Andersson (YP53) and Jorgen Melki (YP37) all scored within the 1st 35 mins. But we became a victim of complacency as Umea hit back twice in the last 5 mins of the 1st hal to set up an exciting 2nd half. We halted our freefall and created a few more chances but didn't take them. This allowed a tense finale as we hung on to our 1 goal lead. League: Vasteras SK 0-1 Tord We should have beaten them by much more but instead had to settle for Erik Johanneson (YP56)'s goal to give us the 3 points. hrbfcrule
June 2034 Friendly: Sweden U21's 1-0 Japan U21's For all our chances we just couldn't get a breakthrough. That was until Ake Engstrom's shot in the 76th min which managed to find its way through a crowd of players into the bottom corner. League: Tord 2-1 Syrainska FC An easier win than the scoreline suggests. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) continues to score goals as he opened the scoring in the 53rd min. Erik Mansson (YP50) then made it 2-0 in the 82nd min but we again conceded a late consolation. We do not want to make a habit out of this. July 2034 Euro Cup 2nd Qual 1st Leg: Spora 0-3 Tord How we didn't get more I don't know. We had 7 clear cut chances but it seemed like so many more, it's only goals that count though. Viktor Andersson (YP53), Jonas Andersson (YP49) and Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) all got on the scoresheet. League: Tord 0-0 AIK It was imperative we didn't lose. A draw will do but I was looking for a win. It was an even game, we were probably slightly better on the day. Euro Cup 2nd Qual 2nd Leg: Tord (6) 3-1 (1) Spora Not as much as a walkover as the 1st leg but still not exactly difficult. Hakan Larsson (YP35), Peter Jansson (YP33) and Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) scored the 3 goals for us. League: IFK Goteborg 0-1 Tord A fantastic win and a fantastic game. Magnus Kjellman (YP45)'s 4th min goal was enough for all 3 points. With all the chances flying around througout the match for both sides you wouldn't have expected the 1 goal to be enough. shrewsbury
nice idea using your own youth prospects and your doing good and your doing well in europe. i might try it with portsmouth since if im correct there have a transfer embargo and limited first teamers and your one seems enjoyable i need a new enjoyable challenge. going to be hard with pompey the yonly have 38 players at the club and that includes youth reserves and first team going to be a challenge keeping everyone fit at least no reserve games just youth games i will manage the youth team too. DSYoungEsq
Not very nice that you have to go through that many qualifying rounds for the EURO Cup group stage. But at least it's mid-season for you, unlike us in Wales who were barely showing up for post-break calisthentics at that point! Great job this year keeping the number of drawn games down, or more correctly, managing to make draws of the losses and wins of the draws. hrbfcrule
August 2034 Euro Cup 3rd Qual 1st Leg: Tord 1-2 Bursaspor We got a reasonably tough draw in the shape of Bursaspor. Despite the difference in stature we managed to take the lead inside the 1st min, through Jorgen Melki (YP37). Bursaspor slowly turned the screw and exerted their dominance. Getting a goal back in the 1st half before taking the lead early in the 2nd. We continued to play well and were unlucky not to snatch a late equaliser. League: Gefle 0-1 Tord Our fantastic league form continues unaffected from the Euro Cup loss and amazingly only our 2nd loss of the season. Late action was the order of the day as firstly Erik Carlsson (YP41) gave us the lead in the 86th min and then Albin Carlsson (YP55) got his marching orders in the 94th. Euro Cup 3rd Qual 2nd Leg: Bursaspor (6) 4-2 (3) Tord Our 1st leg result seemed to have taken its toll on morale in this match. We conceded twice early on to put us 4-1 down on aggregate and seemingly out of the tournament. However Peter Jansson (YP33) had other ideas, he scored twice to level things up and also put us within a goal of progressing to the next round. It was ultimately too much as we got punished on the counter twice late on as we searched for that elusive 3rd goal. Nonetheless we made an outstanding acount of ourselves throughout the 2 legs. League: Tord 2-0 Atvidaberg Peter Jansson (YP33) followed his brace in the Euro Cup with a brace in this match to give us a comfortable victory over struggling Atvidaberg. League: Tord 1-0 Mjallby We have Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) to thank for this win. While no one else in the team could hit the target he came on off the bench to slot home the only goal of the game. League: Malmo FF 1-1 Tord Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) also gave us the lead in this match but this time we were unable to retain it.
hrbfcrule
September 2034 League: Tord 1-0 Syrianska Kerburan Magnus Kjellman (YP45) came to our rerscue in the 86th min to nick all 3 points for us. Euro U21 Qual Group 10: Sweden U21's 3-1 Montenegro U21's A very impressive win with Mattias Claesson, Jonas Danielsson and Joel Nilsson all scoring in the opening quarter of the match. We almost had a 4th on the stroke of half time but Claesson missed a penalty. Montenegro got a goal back but that was more than they deserved really. Friendly: Montenegro U21's 0-1 Sweden U21's Despite a near dominant display a few days prior back in Sweden we struggled in this match. Albin Carlsson (YP55) eventually found the breakthrough but Montenegro made it very tough for us. League: Assyriska 0-2 Tord Anton Dahlberg (YP30) and Viktor Andersson (YP53) both netted in the 2nd half to help us slowly edge away from the rest of the league. League: Tord 1-0 Hammarby Fotboll Peter Jansson (YP33) got the only goal of the game as we scraped yet another win. League: IK Sirius 2-0 Tord Finally our unbeaten run comes to an end. IK Sirius outplayed us completely this match. To be honest we were riding our luck a fair bit throughout the run of 32 league games without losing. hrbfcrule
October 2034 League: Tord 3-1 Halmstad Back on track with a comfortable home win. A Jorgen Melki (YP37) brace + another Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) goal selaed it. Euro U21 Quals Playoff 1st Leg: Sweden U21's 0-1 Portugal U21's The win against Montenegro last month ensured we finished 2nd behind Spain in our group menaing we went into the playoff to get a place in the U21 Euro Championships. However it wasn't going to be easy as we were handed tough opponents Portugal. Despite matching them thoughout the match they still managed to sneak a 1-0 win going into the 2nd leg. Euro U21 Quals Playoff 2nd Leg: Portugal U21's (3) 2-3 (3)a Sweden U21's This is where things got amazing. Portugal started the better side but missed an 11 th min penalty before finally taking the lead on the half hour mark. Then we completely turned things around and scored twice in 5 1st half mins, Ake Engstrom and Per Andersson with the goals. It looked like our fairytale would end when Portugal equalised with 30 mins to go but suber sub Niklas Nylander retook the lead for us and sent us through the to the U21 Euro Championships for the 2nd successive time. Friendly: Sweden U21's 2-1 Georgia U21's For some reason we had another 2 friendlies this month as well as the playoff so 4 international matches . A Joel Nilsson brace ensured a streaky win over Georgia. Friendly: Denmark U21's 1-1 Sweden U21's We were outplayed by Denmark and were lucky to get the draw. They took an early lead but didn't close the game off allowing Rikard Hansson to equalised for us in the 78th min. League: Helsingborg 0-0 Tord A pretty poor match but a draw will do it for us. A couple more wins and the title is ours. League: Umea FC 1-2 Tord There's 1 win, just need 1 more. We struggled in the 1st half even going 1-0 down as maybe the pressure was getting to us. But we were back to our best in the 2nd half as goals from Martin Hansson (YP43) and Jonas Andersson (YP49) gave us a much deserved win.
hrbfcrule
November 2034 League: Tord 2-1 Vasteras SK How fitting, we win the title with our final home game of the season. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) and Albin Carlsson (YP55) gave us an early 2 goal lead. We even managed to hold it until the 91st min where we allowed Vasteras a goal back. But it didn't matter to us as we had become Champions!!!!! . . . . of Sweden. League: Syrianska FC 1-1 Tord Put out a mixture of 1st teamers with a few younger players to try them out. Peter Jansson (YP33) gave us the lead but Syrianska equalised soon after. We didn't really mind as this match was really a waste of time for us. Although it did mean we finished on 73 points which is the highest total by any team in all seasons.

hrbfcrule
Here are some of Sweden's best players at the moment: Emil Akesson (MC) - He has had a pretty good career so far but it looks like the best is yet to come. Currently at Real Madrid, he has had spells at Porto, Espanyol, Birmingham and Getafe. Ronnie Andersson (ST) - Those with incredible memories may remember this guy from when I managed him in the Sweden U19's all those years ago. His career has seen him travel to Blackburn, Inverness, Bursaspor, Ankaragucu and Partizan before ending up at Leeds. Carl Johan-Hult (DMC) - Had long succesful spells at Cremonese and Feyenoord before moving to Villa where he is finding his feet nicely. Sweden themselves haven't done particularly well over the years. Firstly the World Cup: They twice finished 2nd in their group in 2016 and 2024 where they lost in the 2nd place playoff both times. They've only once got out of the qualifying stages and that was for the 2030 World Cup. The rest of the times they finished either 3rd or 4th. In the 2030 World Cup they finished 2nd in their group containing South Africa, Italy and Chile. Surprisingly it was them and South Africa who progressed and not Italy. They then lost 1-0 to Germany in the 1st Knockout Round. European Championship: They have fared better in the European Championships as you would expect. Qualifying for it 3 times (2020, 2024, 2032). In 2020 and 2024 they reached the Quarter finals and in 2032 they got to the 2nd Round.
hrbfcrule
End of Season Report: IK Tord, Swedish Premier Division 2034 League Table, League Graph Squad Finally, after all these years of coming close and falling at the final hurdle we kept our nerve and strolled over the line. Only 1 league loss all season doesn't tell the whole story, we rode our luck a fair amount but kept what should have been losses to draws and what should have been draws to wins. All in all a fantastic season but I wouldn't expect next season to be more of the same. To give you an idea of what I'm trying to compete with here are the amount spent by the title contenders from december 2034 - march 2035 (for the season 2035): AIK - Spent £6M, Recieved £2.4M - Net £3.6M IK Sirius - Spent £1.3M, Recieved £885K - Net £415K Malmo FF - Spent £925K, Recieved £2.8M - Net £-1.875M IFK Goteborg - Spent £1.9M, Recieved £900K - Net £1M Swedish Cup Despite our fantastic season in the league we fell at the 1st hurdle in the cup losing out to Atvidaberg. Euro Cup 2nd Qual round was easy enough with a 6-1 aggregate win over Spora before being handed a tricky draw against Bursaspor. We played extremely well but it was clear they were a different class to us. We eventually went out 6-3 to them. U19's League A thrilling league campaign saw us snatch the titleaway from Hammarby on the last day on goal difference. We also managed a fantastic cup run, getting to the semi finals before losing out to Halmstad. Youth Players (At the Club) Bojan Ohlsson (YP29) - Only a few more seasons left in him, he showed this season that he's still got it. Anton Dahlberg (YP30) - Same story for him as well, still plays his part will be a big loss when he retires. Peter Jansson (YP33) - Has got in the habit of having a great season followed by a mediocre one, it looks pretty strange in his league history. His last 7 season league goal tallys are 8, 22, 6, 20, 8, 17, 7. Hakan Larsson (YP35) - Played very well, but I am getting worried that all our best players are starting to get past it a bit. Jorgen Melki (YP37) - Continues to be fantastic whatever position he plays. Niklas Svensson (YP38) - A great season, just 24 conceded in 33. This made a huge impact on our title win. Niclas Carlsson (YP39) - Still performing nicely in midfield, another one who is passing his peak. Erik Carlsson (YP41) - A poor season coupled with new striker Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) making a flying start to his career saw Erik Carlsson (YP41) out of the match squad for most of the season. Will need to fight for his place now. Martin Hansson (YP43) - Had a fantastic season, very surprising. Only stopped by a few injuries. Hopefully h can produce more of the same. Joakim Dahlberg (YP44) - Was forced to play a couple of matches as Niclas Svensson (YP38) got injured. Magnus Kjellman (YP45) - His best season yet, the 1st time he passed the 7 average rating mark. Rasmus Svard (YP46) - No more appearances, just waiting for him to leave the club now. Hakan Neilsen (YP47) - Continued at his high standard, mostly in central defence now that Roger Magnusson (YP52) has stolen his left back position. Jonas Andersson (YP49) -His usual mediocrity, has never really excelled at Tord. He has only reached double figures on one occasion. Erik Mansson (YP50) - Possibly the season to kickstart his career? Played very well as he tried to fill the boots of Bojan Ohlsson (YP29). Martin Persson (YP51) - As good as gone, like with Rasmus Svard (YP46) I am just waiting for his contract to run out. Roger Magnusson (YP52) - Brilliant season again although he has suffered a broken leg during the 2035 preseason which will hamper his progress. Viktor Andersson (YP53) -Is becoming everpresent in the side despite his young age. An exciting prospect. Rikard Andersson (YP54) - Not great and doesn't show much improvement, will probably be on his way out soon enough. Albin Carlsson (YP55) - Played at an even higher standard this season. Erik Johannesson (YP56) - Played a reasonable amount even if it was mostly off the bench. Had moments of brilliance but will need to be more consistent. Simon Granlund (YP57) - Got better but I am still not convinced he's good enough. Jorgen Hajra (YP58) - Not going to survive long here, played badly and there a far too many people ahead of him in the pecking order. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) - A brilliant debut season, 9 goals in 27 appearances most of which were off the bench. Retiring Players Jonas Andersson (YP27) - Decided he'd had enough of being a fringe player and decided to retire at the end of the season. History Managed 225 league appearances for us over his 17 year career with us. He decided not to properly retire and not take up a staff role. Finances - More profit which has helped the new upgrades. The stadium is being expanded to 6000 with 2300 seats possibly to comply with Champions League rules. Meanwhile the new stadium planning will be finished in a staggering 3 seasons. Then they'll have to build the bloody thing.
