hrbfcrule
Nottingham Forest League History As you can see theyve bounced between Championship and Premiership. Haven't really been able to stabilise themselves in the Premiership though. They may have another chance next season as they are 6th in the Championship with 1 game to go. As for the cups, they have done surprisingly badly in them. In the FA Cup in the 25 seasons they have only reached the 5th Round once. Reaching either 3rd or 4th in all the others. League Cup isn't too much better, they have reached the 4th round on numerous occasions but have never progressed to the Quarter finals or beyond. Rushden & Diamonds League History They were doing so well but that has all been undone in the past 5 seasons. They reached the dizzying heights of League One (their highest point being missing out on the playoffs on goal difference in the 2027/28 season. Since then they have collapsed back down to effectively where they started. In the FA Cup they have reached the 2nd Round on 6 occasions and even managed to reach the 3rd Round once. In the League Cup they lost in the 1st Round every time bar one. The JPT was more succesful, reaching the South section final in 2026/27 losing to Bournemouth. As well as 2 Quarter Final and 2 Semi Final appearances. The FA trophy wasn't too great considering its contested between Blue Square teams. They reached the Semi Final twice but most of the time they couldn't get past the 1st Round.

hrbfcrule
March 2035 Swedish Super Cup: IK Sirius 3-1 Tord Not exactly confidence inspiring as we collapsed in the 2nd half. Erik Carlsson (YP41) got a consolation in the 92nd min but its a worrying result for us to start off with. League: Tord 3-1 Hammarby Fotboll Hammarby took the lead in the 28th min but fortunately we hit back immediately. Jonas Andersson (YP49) and Viktor Andersson (YP53) both scored within 5 mins to give us a 2-1 lead. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) sealed the win in the 80th min with our 3rd goal. League: IK Sirius 0-1 Tord Maybe we aren't in as much trouble as I thought. A replay of the Super Cup, same venue same opponent different result. We outplayed them completely and Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) got the only goal of the game from the only major chance of the game. Friendly: Sweden U21's 3-1 Belgium U21's A comfortable win which all happened within a hectic 1st half. Johnny Strom scored twice in 3 mins. Then Belgium got a goal back before an own goal restored our 2 goal advantage. All happening in 18 1st half mins.
hrbfcrule
April 2035 League: Tord 4-0 Umea FC A big win against Umea. Peter Jansson (YP33) opened the scoring in the 7th min. Then Jonas Andersson (YP49) scored a stunning hat trick, Umea had no reply. League: Malmo FF 1-1 Tord A tale of 2 penalties, Jorgen Melki (YP37) scored ours in the 17th min but we were denied victory by Malmo's own penalty in the 84th min. Fair result in the end though. League: Tord 1-0 Halmstad We dominated but struggled to finish, the complete opposite of the Umea match. Luckily Peter Jansson (YP33) managed to find the net to get us the win we deserved. League: Oddevold 1-2 Tord I'm pretty proud of this match even though we didn't play great. The reason being we had a whopping 70% possession, we are the Swedish Barcelona . Albin Carlsson (YP55) and Jonas Andersson (YP49) gave us a 2-0 lead. Oddevold got 1 back in the 73rd min to ensure a nervy finish but we held on for the win. Chutney132
hrbfcrule, would I be right in assuming that you have 2 qualifying rounds to go through to get into the Champions League proper (i.e. like Malmo at the moment)? I know you won't know your prospective opponents yet, but looking at previous years, do you think you have a chance of progressing?

I have been put in the 2nd Qualifying Round, after that there is a 3rd Qualifying Round and then a Playoff before the Group Stages. In the 2nd Qualifying Round I got a good draw with either Fiorentino of San Marino or Avenir Beggen of Luxembourg. After that I don't know, if I get a good draw it's definately possible to get to the group stages.

Quads
Whats your youth recruitment level? Have you had a chance to upgrade? JackJCFC
Whats your youth recruitment level? Have you had a chance to upgrade? Because I think that thing is messed up, no matter what, you can't upgrade it with a smaller club who does really well. I've heard that your youth recruitment can only be improved to a level that is slightly higher than other clubs in your division, so you've got to wait for them first. It's messed up, in my Wales save we are a pretty established european team yet our recuitment isn't above 'basic'.
hrbfcrule
BK Hacken League History Theyve really fallen from grace. From being a Premier Division regular to at 1 point slipping into the 4th tier. The Cup is poor as well once making the semi finals and once making the quarters, apart from that not much to comment on. Don't know if anyone's asked you this yet, but have you had many players come through the ranks with a second nationality? or has it been pretty much exclusively swedes? The only one I can remember is Miodrag Damjanovic (YP3) who had 2nd nationality as Bosnia & Herzegovina. Apart from that I think they have all been Swedish, don't really look at their nationalities too closely so I could be wrong. Whats your youth recruitment level? Have you had a chance to upgrade? Because I think that thing is messed up, no matter what, you can't upgrade it with a smaller club who does really well. I haven't had the opportunity to upgrade it yet and its still on "fairly basic". If thats true then that kind of makes it impossible for me to get to the top. I'm hoping its not though. hrbfcrule
May 2035 League: AIK 2-0 Tord 1st league loss of the season and predictibly it comes at AIK. They were just about the better team on the day although they did ride their luck at times. League: Tord 2-0 Mjallby We left it late but an own goal followed by a 90th min Jonas Andersson (YP49) goal gave us the win we just about deserved. Swedish Cup 3rd Round: Assyriska 0-1 Tord Jonas Andersson (YP49) again getting on the scoresheet before getting injured for 2-3 months later on in the game. League: Tord 2-0 Vasteras SK Bojan Ohlsson (YP29) headed home from a corner in the 4th min and Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) doubled our advantage just before the half hour mark. It stayed like that the rest of the match but we should have had a couple more. League: Helsingborg 3-3 Tord We went 3-0 up after 50 mins from an own goal, Peter Jansson (YP33) and Jorgen Melki (YP37). But we threw it away as we handed them 3 goals on a plate. hrbfcrule
June 2035 League: Tord 4-2 IFK Goteborg We quickly strolled into a 3-0 lead with goals from Peter Jansson (YP33), Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) and Jogen Melki (YP37). Unfortunately a good 1st half performance was marred by conceding right on half time. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59)'s 2nd of the game in the 2nd half restored our 3 goal lead before Goteborg scored a late consolation. League: Tord 1-0 Kalmar FF Albin Carlsson (YP55) got the only goal of the game in the 31st min. A poor match in truth but I am glad we managed to carve out the win. League: Gefle 1-3 Tord A very bad tempered game with 9 yellow cards in total along with 22 fouls. In the middle of all the kicking each other Albin Carlsson (YP55) amnaged to score one for each team. Along with Peter Jansson (YP33) getting a brace. U21 Euro Championships 2035 Group A: Spain U21's 2-1 Sweden U21's So unlucky to not win this let alone lose it. We played much better than them and deservedly took the lead through Joel Nilsson. Then against the run of play Spain scored just before half time. In the dying seconds we had a penalty decision turned down and Spain went up the other end and had a penalty shout of their own. Theirs was accepted and scored leaving us gutted at losing a match we really should have won. Group A: Sweden U21's 0-2 France U21's Despite being the underdogs again we held our own. France finally found a way through our defences in the 2nd half although they weren't exactly convincing during the match. Group A: Turkey U21's 2-0 Sweden U21's Another match we should have got something from but on the day we just didn't have the luck. Also the other 2 matches had taken it out of us a bit. We slumped to a 2-0 defeat against Turkey to finish rock bottom of the group.
hrbfcrule
July 2035 League: Syrianska FC 2-1 Tord A disappointing loss especially after Peter Jansson (YP33) took the lad in the 6th min. Albin Carlsson (YP55) was again the culprit of an own goal which led to our demise. Swedish Cup 4th Round: GAIS 3-3p Tord We surprisingly struggled against 2nd tier GAIS. Hakan Larsson (YP35) gave us the lead but again we fell behind 2-1 and were only saved by Peter Jansson (YP33)'s late equaliser. In extra time we started to tire which allowed GAIS to retake the lead. Again we were saved by the boot of Peter Jansson (YP33) which took the match to the lottery of penalties. We came out on top 4-3 to scraoe into the quarter finals. League: Syrianska Kerburan 0-1 Tord We seem to be struggling at the moment, mainly due to the sheer number of games we have to play in a short space of time. However Magnus Kjellman (YP45)'s strike is worthy of winning any match. Smashing it from around 30-35 yards into the top corner through a crowd of players. [video=youtube;zfEnY9Ms2bM] League: Hammarby Fotboll 1-0 Tord Oh dear, our 2nd league loss in 3 games. Hammarby played better and deserved to win but its left our title hopes in question. Champions League Champions 2nd Qual Rnd 1st Leg: Avenir Beggen 0-1 Tord A great way to bring up my 800th game in charge of Tord, with our 1st match in the Champions League. *also see if you can spot the bug We were up against the Luxemborgian champions a team that has never got past the 2nd qualifying stage of either European club competition in its handful of attempts. The match itself was a bit of a disappointment. We completely took them apart but were unable to find the goals. Only Peter Jansson (YP33)'s strike saved us from the embarrassment of a draw when in reality we should have had 5 or 6. League: Tord 2-2 IK Sirius Our league form is still struggling. We started incredibly by scoring twice in the opening 7 mins. Jorgen Melki (YP37) and Anton Dahlberg (YP30) with the goals. Yet again we threw it away, so frustrating to watch. Champions League Champions 2nd Qual Rnd 2nd Leg: Tord (8) 7-0 (0) Avenir Beggen What the 1st leg should have been like. It's a pity only 2300 fans could come and see it. Peter Jansson (YP33) netted a hat trick and Magnus Kjellman (YP45), Alexander Pettersson (YP61) and Jorgen Melki (YP37) managed 1 each and an own goal made it 7. Job done. League: Umea FC 1-2 Tord A much needed win to keep up with AIK and Malmo in the race for the title. Hakan Larsson (YP35) and Hakan Nielson (YP47) scored within 4 mins of each other in the 2nd half. Even a red card for Erik Carlsson (YP41) couldn't stop us throwing this lead away.

hrbfcrule
August 2035 Champions League Champions 3rd Qual Rnd 1st Leg: Tord 4-1 Metalurgs Got lucky with the draw as we face the Latvian champions in the 3rd qualifying round. The tie was effectively wrapped up in the 1st leg. Metalurgs got a red card in the 26th min and it all went from bad to worse for them from there. Peter Janson (YP33), Jorgen Melki (YP37) and a brace from Viktor Andersson (YP53) piled on the misery. They ended with a glimmer of hope in the shape of an 88th min consolation goal. League: Tord 1-1 Malmo FF A win would have been really handy here but we just couldn't get it. Malmo started well scoring after just 2 mins. Peter Jansson (YP33) equalised in the 11th min but despite a Malmo red card we couldn't capitalise on the situation. In my view this is dropped points rather than a point gained. Champions League Champions 3rd Qual Rnd 2nd Leg: Metalurgs (2) 1-0 (4) Tord Should have won this match but Metalurgs scored from their only shot all game and we failed to do so despite numerous tries. Still we won the tie overall and are just one qualifying round away from the Group Stage. We got a very fortunate draw: BATE the Belarussian champions. This is a great opportunity to get into the groups let's hope we take it. League: Halmstad 0-1 Tord Just about struggling along in the league, Peter Jansson (YP33) continues to single handedly save us with another goal here against Halmstad. Swedish Cup Quarter Final: Umea FC 2-1 Tord We could and should have beaten Umea, after that we had an easy semi final draw which meant we should have easily reached the final but we blew it. Umea took the lead but not for long as Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) equalised straight away. Unfortunately Umea retook the lead in the 2nd half even though we were having all the possesion. Oh well, we have a lot on our plate at the moment we could do without the cup run. League: Tord 2-1 Oddevold We went behind in the 7th min but we fought back and goals from Hakan Larsson (YP35) and newbie Alexander Pettersson (YP61) secured the win. Champions League Champions Playoff 1st Leg: BATE 0-1 Tord A fantastic away win puts us in the driving seat of the tie but I will not get carried away just yet. We weren't the best team but BATE were wasteful and Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) made them pay with an 84th min. League: Vasteras SK 1-3 Tord Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) continued his vein of good form with another goal to give us the lead. Vasteras equalised early in the 2nd half but super sub Martin Hansson (YP43) scored twice late on to get us a deserved win. Champions League Champions Playoff 2nd Leg: Tord (2) 1-1 (1) BATE A very tight game which we just about edged. Alexander Pettersson (YP61)'s 70th min goal put us ever closer to the gold mine that is the group stages. BATE equalised in the 81st min which made it really tense with about 10 mins left. They peppered our goal with shots but none found their way in. We had done it group stages here we come. How's this for a draw doesn't look like i'll be getting any points. The Italian Champions, the Bundesliga runners up and Liverpool.
DSYoungEsq
1) The bug: I've had that bug myself in the declaration regarding my 1000th game at the helm of Prestatyn. Interestingly, an earlier news item declaring that I was managing my 1000th game did not have the bug; the difference between the two had to do with my international career, I'm certain. 2) The League: It's too bad about the two losses, which took you from a commanding lead to a one-game deficit. Has 73 pts ever been second place before? Looks to me like you'll need to win out and get that 73 pts to win. 3) Europe: Yes, I'm thinking you might have prefered Fenerbahçe or Celtic or even Sporting CP as your #3 seed. <sigh> Well, try to get some draws, anyway, since they usually get you about $500K each. Biscotti
That's definitely a tough group, but I don't think the draw could have shaken out in a way that would have been a good group for you anyway. Doing as well as you have in Europe should go some way to improving your coefficient (and therefore seeding) for next season, though.
Taunton
Absolutely amazing. Finally you are in the cl groups. Looks like the team is solid and hard to beat. Pity about the slip in league form, but hopefully AIK will experience a rough patch as well. Thanks for the Häcken update. They have gone the exact opposite way of Tord. Looking forward to read about cl-matches.
archanios
Too bad you didn't get Odd. Guess they would have been more managable. You'll just have to give it your best shot and hope for something spectacular! Good luck anyway!

Romanista1994
I go on holiday without internet for a couple of weeks and when I return I discover Tord have won the league and are in the CL groups. Brilliant achievement on both counts hrbfcrule! Hopefully the added income and reputation boost, coupled with the recent improvements made to your youth facilities can kick-start the club to a whole new level. leonavich
Been away for a while and what news to come back to. Winning the league, progressing to the group stages of CL! Amazing! Hopefully form this season can pick up and you can take home some more silverware. Don't count yourself down and out in the CL yet. Teams can be complacent in the group stages against lower opposition, especially the number 3 seed as they might not use a full squad. If you can pickup a home win and a few home draws you can keep off the bottom.
deltablue
Tord in the CL, I never thought I'd see the day. No pressure anyway.
Truegunner
This is a great thread, hrbfc must be congratulated for reaching the UCL group stages with an awful team:applause:I'm currently trying this with Hogaborgs bk, although it will be easier because they have an above average youth recruitment, (atleast they start in the swedish second division)
LiamBrady
Just spent the entire morning reading through this thread. The success you have had so far is incredible, especially winning the league and making the CL group stages with essentially your 2nd generation of players (Thoren (YP5), Svensson (YP16), Karlsson (YP8), etc. being your 1st). I would have expected you to have to wait for a better generation through improved facilities to achieve what you have so far. I'm also blown away that the 3-4 year delay you had due to your facilities being cancelled (this would have made me so frustrated) barely hindered your progress. Glad to see you've overcome the idiocy of your board and got them upgraded, along with a new stadium. I'll be sad when Hakan Larsson retires, he's my favorite Tord player so far, just an assist machine. KUTGW, and I'd be curious to see how the Swedish Premier Division ranking has changed in the game, has it improved (or declined) by a significant amount? Snaflet
Your team must be incredibly well gelled and blended together, combined with the tactics I assume that is a large part of your astonishing success :> Just read through the whole thing, really amazing, congrats for everything so far

hrbfcrule
Thanks everyone, the CL groups are a massive step up as you'll see in the next few updates. This is a great thread, hrbfc must be congratulated for reaching the UCL group stages with an awful team:applause:I'm currently trying this with Hogaborgs bk, although it will be easier because they have an above average youth recruitment, (atleast they start in the swedish second division) Good Luck with Hogaborgs BK KUTGW, and I'd be curious to see how the Swedish Premier Division ranking has changed in the game, has it improved (or declined) by a significant amount? I can't remember where the Swedish Premier Division started in the rankings but at the moment it is 50th (2.5 stars). I will start adding the ranking changes in every preseason update from now on so I can keep track of it.
hrbfcrule
September 2035 League: Tord 1-1 AIK A lot riding on this game as you would expect from a 1st vs 2nd battle. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) gave us the lead after 26 mins but AIK equalised in 1st half injury time. They had the better of it in the 2nd half but failed to finish us off. Euro U21 Championship Quals: Sweden U21's 3-2 Serbia U21's A difficult start to the qualifying campaign but we just about managed to pass it. Goals from Jonas Danielsson, Henric Ohlin and Niklas Nylander put us 3-0 up and cruising. Serbia then got 2 late goals back and all of a sudden we were panicking. We survived to hang on to an opening day win. Euro U21 Championship Quals: Estonia U21's 0-1 Sweden U21's Struggled through this match only thanks to a Niklas Nylander penalty on the stroke of half time. Still a win's a win. League: Mjallby 0-1 Tord Stumbled to a win over a weak Mjallby side. Jonas Andersson (YP49) got back on the scoresheet with his 1st goal since his 3 month lay off. Champions League Group G: Liverpool 7-1 Tord The title odds were generous to us however Liverpool were not. I was expecting to get thrashed but not this badly. Only positive is that we managed to score. Again it was Jonas Andersson (YP49) who scored it but by then we were already 5-0 down. League: Tord 2-1 Helsingborg We struggled maybe due to the aftershock of our heavy loss to Liverpool. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) gave us the lead but Helsingborg equalised with 14 mins remaining. Erik Carlsson (YP41) came off the bench to net a 94th min winner. League: IFK Goteborg 1-1 Tord We went down in the 5th min but Peter Jansson (YP33) struck back with a 20th min equaliser. Not much happened after that but it means we have lost ground on our rivals
Raware
Ouch! That's a heavy defeat. I hope the Champions League games don't disrupt the end of your domestic season. You're so close to retaining your title!
hrbfcrule
October 2035 Champions League Group G: Tord 0-1 Bayern Leverkusen A much more respectable scoreline this time. Ever since the Liverpool match I have been dreading the rest of the group stage but after this it seems like it may not be as bad as anticipated. League: Tord 2-0 Gefle Gefle sure were angry at us for some reason. They racked up 3 yellows and 2 reds in this match while we didn't get a single card. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) took advantage of their red cards by scoring a 2nd half brace. Euro U21 Championship Quals: Sweden U21's 1-0 Israel U21's Another match we just scraped past, Magnus Danielsson scored the winner in the 76th min. Euro U21 Championship Quals: Armenia U21's 1-2 Sweden U21's An upset was on the cards when Armenia took the lead in the 12th min. They held it well but just couldnt make it to half time. Jonas Danielsson equalising in the 3rd min of injury time. Our dominance ws taking its toll on them and eventually Johnny Strom netted the winner in the 71st min. League: Kalmar 0-0 Tord Not a single shot on target in the entire match for either side. Says it all about this match really, gotta feel sorry for the fans. It has set up for an exciting finale with 2 games remaining. Champions League Group G: Tord 0-2 Napoli Another reasonable result as we are nowhere near being in a position to actually compete with teams of this calibre. Chris442
By far and away the best story I have ever read. You have inspired me to take on a similar challenge soon. The layout is clear and easy to read, as well as being original. However, the most impressive aspect of this story is the achievement. You have won the league, got into the Champions League and won the Cup with a team predicted bottom of the bottom league, using only youth players. Wow. Top work, I cannot wait to read more!
